A 4mill dune ported stock cyl set up, with 35's and drag pipes would be a darn good engine and fun as hell to ride. :thumbsup:

Get some red locktite for the bolts when you attach it to your ring gear, new locktab on the big nut that holds the assembly to the tranny shaft, maybe a new gasket if you ruin it upon taking the clutch cover off. And now would be a great time to put a pancake bearing on the adjuster if you havent already done so. :thumbsup:

For 160$, you get a nice, shinny piece of billet and the ablilty to mount a bigger carb, than stock. IMHO. If your 28's will mount to your stockers, I'd suggest using them and cut the insides out for your vforce3's and take that 160 and put it twards a cool head or a adjustable timing plate.

Guy, I dont know if you are directing your post at me or what. I know how my duneported engine ran with the 35's and it ran excellent. I dont really give a shit about all this hp & dyno & crap. I had a builder design my engine, and I put the pieces together. I told him what I wanted and I got it. And it so happend to be 35's and the thing ran wonderful and had lots power everywhere. And that was with green antifreeze in it too. :laugh: I recommended 35's because I had experience with them on my dune port. They are very nice carbs too. Is this going to turn into another arguement about 35's being too goddamn big for a well ported stock cylinder application? Well........I say they are not. Slap em on, tune it, ride it and see if ya like it! There is a saying that gets typed on this forum all the time, everyone's bike is different and will act different with different mods on it.

35 pwks all the way. That is what I had on my duneport with +5 timing and shearers. Had plenty of bottom, mid and top end. Sorry to jack this thread but, how is kevin's duneport?

I would'nt be admitting to having "tubes" on or in hand. That 1211 worked well on my engine.

There's (2) Daves in here now. And yes if you do part out the engine, how about the cases. Are they in good shape?
