If you have stock carbs now, I'd use the cash for aftermarket ones, you will be totally supprised at the differance a "D" or flat slide makes. Like you said, these dividers are good in theory but IMO just another gimmick like boost bottles, splitfire plugs, etc. Due to the sticky throttle issue that the banshee is famous for, myself and 3 of my friends all switched to aftermarket, larger carbs......let me tell ya....WOW!, should have done it long ago.

There is also ceramic coating available, good for a little hp too.

It may be time for a top end, do a compression test and see where your at.

if it's a bad head or warped it will usually overheat and push out a bunch of coolent. Also be very careful, because if coolent gets into the cylinder you can hydo lock it and cause big damage.

IMO it's a must to get those tractor sails off the front of the banshee, you can see where your tires are and it's much more comfortable to ride this way, non of my buddies have them either. CUT EM OFF, you'll thank us later!

Well you see rocketboy it's like this, there is a planet in a star cluster called M-4 (I think it stands for Messier?), it is 23 times the distance from earth to the sun, which is approximatly 5500 light years away, it is also 1000 times the size of earths mass, and guess what, it's 13billion years old! How did something this size around for that long slip through the fingers of "the great creator"?? There are planets forming as we speak.

This is a great Idea Ben!, theres no body sayin you couldn't start right now, If you had an order, you could buy a shee with title, mod the front clip, and add your components (I'd be up for makin you some custom graphics kits ). You can bet you'd be under your 10,000 in parts and materials, even if you had someone else do the frame mods. Sell off the leftover parts from the Banshee purchased and even if you don't make as much as you hoped in labor, the experiance would be an eye opener, I'm sure some of the manufacturers would be onboard to help you out aswell, especially if you put there name on it. If you have a little space and a credit card you could be well on your way, as you said you know how to build a kick ass racer, the fact is you are a racer and that my friend carries alot of weight with people! Make a buisness name, print up some cards and get the word out, your gonna have to start small, so talk to some of the manufacturers your fermilliar with and get feedback from them, if their onboard your set. Make sure you accurate with your pricing is all I can offer for advice, sorce everything you'll need for a "basic build" and go from there. Make a competative quad for the same money as a 450 and they will flok to you. I'm sure I speak for most of us on here when I say good luck and we support you 110%, you need anything (other than money lol) I'm here for ya buddy!! ....remember Erasure Quads?

sbc's under 200 hp are more common place than you think, besides factory hp specs are brake hp #'s w/ no driven accesories other than the water pump.

PTR or Paul Turner mids are an awsome pipe for low end power, I use the fatty's and I find them to work well and respond well to all the upgrades I've made, but like mentioned before the plating sucks. PTR hi revs are also a realy nice pipe and roll on real smoothe, unlike the fattys that are realy "peaky". What it comes down to is any aftermarket pipe is better that the stock ones, whatever suits your budget is also a contributing factor. Use the search, there is lots of info available there.
