  1. Hi Josh, My kits came with both sets but I only use the standards in my multi stage clutch. I cut the coils to regulate primary pressure. Would you be interested in trading your std's for heavy duties? Mine aren't gold but are still in the sealed Barnett pakage with the part number on it. Thanks, Ted
  2. I've got three brand new packs of Barnett MT-42 heavy duty clutch springs still in there bags that I'd like to trade for Barnett standards. These come in YPK-27D and YPK-27DCF kits.

  4. We ran a dirt digger with a Wilburn Motorsports multi-stage clutch last summer. Here's what we found out. 1/4 mile Asphalt Banshee 7300 launch RPM The bad: 1 - Without WAY more primary spring pressure the dirt digger slips much easier than other fibers. 2 - The Dirt Digger "muddies" the tranny fluid very quick. Had to change it often. (Every track day) The good: 3 - The Kevlar clutch holds up to heat real well. Stay's fairly consistant when hot. 4 - For what we put it through it wore like iron. We ran one of Jeff's clutches (FAST Racing) in 2005 and will likely go back to it next season :thumbsup: .

  6. Off the subject a little (not boyesen) but here's some asphalt comparison #'s Our first 1/4 mile asphalt Banshee was a mild 50 HP setup Changed from FMF to V-Force II's - No other changes Cut 3/10 off the ET and picked up 2 MPH
  7. Yep' I'd leave her there. If you have access to a dyno, EGT etc. you could play with it to see where the highest numbers come in but even that will vary day to day depending on temp, weather etc. and I doub't you'd feel it in the seat of your pants. WOT plug chops work well and I'd say your mains are :thumbsup:. How does it pull off idle and up through the gears?
  8. The band is a wider than 2mm which indicates slightly rich but if it pulls hard up top I'd run it.. The grey color is usually from a leaded fuel. Unleaded shows brown. What are you running?
  9. First off I want to say THANKS for your service...As to your question, Some of the other guy's on this site might be able to give you a better answer but IMO I'd talk to Jeff at FAST Racing about doing some porting instead of the 4 mil crank. Good luck :thumbsup:

  12. By the sound of your post I question as to if its really the crank seal your talking about. Usually a leaking crank seal causes a performance and/or overheating problem because your bikes lean. Is what your seeing an oil leak from around the tranny output shaft (behind the front sprocket)? If it's not the crank seal you would probably be OK running it if you keep the oil up and you stay out of the creeks :biggrin: but fix it as soon as you can and replace ALL the seals at that time.
  13. Lots of penatrating oil and an air chisel to work the bolt back and forth has always got them out for me. They can be real tough sometimes.

  16. Barnett gives you a pack of Std. and HD springs. Most guy's mix them three and three. Adding the HD's gives extra holding pressure. If you use all 6 HD's it's a lot of work on the forearms in a days ride. Just instal them in rotation 1 std then 1 HD. As for the cushions...Throw them out. Their only used on the factory clutch. Are you using Kevlar fibers?
  17. Some of you might have seen this same post on PS website also. I've been REAL surprised at how large a jet I might need for my new 39mm carbs and now I'm gun shy about seizing it. Any of you guy's here give me your .02 worth. Thanks for the help.
  18. Current setup on our stock stroke cub motor 1/4 mile asphalt Banshee. 35mm Air Strikers- 165 mains, 40 pilots, DEK needles in the middle. Going with 39 PWK's. Anybody help with a jetting recommendation? We're at 1300ft. Thanks

  24. Hi Jeff, Already got a lock up. Always keep you in mind when I go "shoppin" as the wife says. locogato,we are running 1/4 mile so we went with stock stroke.Hey I lived in Lebanon Mo for a little over 3 years back in the early 80's.Nice area. Ted
