  1. i run the 35pwk and pro circuits. i like the combo a lot good bottom end, light switch power band, revs out pretty high. with the lake effect when we hit the dunes in the morning it can be 20 degrees warmer a couple hours later. jetting's a piece of cake.
  2. well i have pc pipes, ac bumper and grab, and dg nerfs. like em all. all fit with no problems. pc pipes and a single carb are a good combo IMO. six pack rack is great when you have to bring gas to a buddy. maier plastics, while durable, require shims to fit right.
  3. here ya go. def. worth the loot.
  4. you can get in without sparkys, you just gotta be creative. if you have truck it's easier. but then you need flags, orv stickers, and state park passes for the truck and the quad. silver lake is a riot though. we were there opening week last year. had all 2 thousand acres to ourselves. smoothest sand you've ever seen. holiday weekends it's pure hillbilly mayhem. if you watch ebay you can usually find sparkys pretty cheap.
  5. it's just the very end of the subframe where the grab bar mounts. i was thinkin of using a 2x4 and a dead blow hammer, or a heavy duty ratchet strap. if i cant fix it i guess i could make some brackets for the back mounts of the grab bar. just looking for suggestions.
  6. if it sounds healthy than i would imagine you nead a clutch. put it in gear and push it. pull in the clutch and push it. if it's about the same, pop a new clutch in.
  7. i think so. haven't had any problems with em yet. put some serious beating on them at the dunes last trip. bushings aren't a huge deal to me. those sanddragon arms look tough as hell. not to mention my frame was recently powdercoated. i'm open to other's ideas, however.
  8. i can't manage to get any online shipping quotes because of the dimensions of the box. when i bought my new plastics from minkia38 his shipping listed was $30 east of the mississippi, or $40 west of. that sound about right. i'll try to find out for sure tomorrow. i live in farmington hills, MI 48336 bump
  9. offers anyone? need them gone. bump.
  10. bought a 6 pack rack from him, good deal also have dealt with stclark (clutch cover), bansheeryder69 (shocks), Banshee-man27 (black plastics), and Brian G 's friend (PC pipes). all good guys to deal with. thanks guys
  11. just picked up some nice white plastics from him. got em on ebay. great shape, but i've never seen so many god damn stickers on a bike. what a pain in the ass that was, but came out nice. i'll have to post some pics. thanks ray
  12. $75.00 obo prefer local sale, located in southeast MI 48336 one blemish, kind of a scuff, holes were drilled a little off by the guy before me. no cracks, minor scratches. duller style plastics (older maier). figured i would take pics with as much light as possibe kind of like looking at it in the sun. I had a graphics kit on them looked great. also a red radiator cover and tank shroud available, but hesitant to part with.
  13. just wondering who has dealt with them? was planning on putting in an order for some +2+1 j arms, elka duners, and new sand tires and wheels all around. i know everybody says to do the a arm conversion, but i'd rather keep the 87 in my banshee. are the sanddragon j arms any good? keep in mind i mostly dune. will they withstand aggressive jumping etc.? last question, should i have just have my rear shock reworked or drop the dough for a new rear? i have a gsxr 1000 also, and i've never touched any of the suspension adjustments in 2+ years. adjustability isn't too much of a concern. thanks in advance. bill
  14. i've got the 35 cv kit on mine. does the same thing, didn't really notice it until i switched from fmf's to procircuits. cylinders are only 3 psi off. last i checked they were at 128 and 125. still start in three kicks at 45-50 degrees. 2nd kick on warmer days. but same deal with the starting. beats me man.
  15. here's the pics for you guys they were blurry when i got em
  16. title says it all. looked at grand river racing, is there anywhere else? after gas to drive out there +120 in labor, seems high. trying to make the shee bullet proof for next summer. thanks in advance. bill
  17. that's a sticky situation. i like how all the guys on here are flaming you. if i were you i'd tell them to piss up a rope. first off, you were allowed to operate an atv on the street. secondly if you were riding wheelies with no interaction from police etc. then you have done no wrong. i'd be amazed if they could even write you a ticket considering they condoned you riding an atv on a public roadway. granted i feel bad for the old lady, but give the kid a break. you'll get your quad back minus impound fees. lesson learned. good luck to you.
  18. had the same prob a couple days ago. you might try changing the plugs and blowing in the vent tube in the gas cap. that seems to work on mine. do yourself a favor, buy a clymers and a compression tester. does it have a fuel filter on it? neutral with the clutch pulled in and she'll start easier.
  19. http://www.shockpros.com 149.99 with seat cover and all three shock covers. 10 shipping. good guys to deal with. the pics are hosted at web shots. does that have anything to do with it?
  20. how bout with the rear wheel on? just kidding.......but seriously? stock gsxr1000 138rwhp 85ftlb. BIG numbers for a bandit. hmmmmmm. makes ya wonder.
  21. well i posted this before. but since then, i've changed to some white stock plastics instead of black maiers. got them from minkia38. as thick as the vinyl was i just used a heat gun and some wax paper to transfer them to the new plastic.
  22. here ya go. 02 gsxr1000. bought it in aug 2003. put on 14,000 miles, traded in my sv650s that i put 8,000 miles on in six months. oh, and full cov. 250 deducts is $711 a year with nationwide. had that insurance since i bought it, when i turned 21.
  23. i've got an 87 with pro circuit pipes, 2 into 1 with 35 pwk, no airbox, but mostly stock. will i need a fatter pilot than the old fmf high revs used. i'm currently running 52.5 pilot and 190 main. and i believe it's on the fourth clip. getting ready to do a chop. just not sure how to check the whether or not the pilot's good. thinking about v force reeds and a +4 degree key. watcha think? what else could i do relatively cheap.
  24. this might sound dumb, but are you pushing the lever on the case with your finger or just expecting it to line up on it's own. take the cable off the perch and push it with your finger till it lines up.
