  1. Thanks for the reply, I will clean out the carbs thouroughly (sp?) probably on Wednesday, due to the riding I want to do this weekend. I will keep ya posted. Again, Thanks a bunch.
  2. Thanks, I have run a few tanks of good gas lately. I havent changed the jetting since I got it new in 2000. And the first 2 years, she ran perfect on the 2R 32:1. So, i am just wondering what could have changed. Now, I did add a K&N airfilter about 3 years ago and didnt change my jetting because I knew that the 32:1 was a tad rich, so the extra air flow would be good for my mixture.
  3. Basically its a minor issue but, My low end seems a little "boggy" recently. On occasion it will "putt" out one of my pipes, not quite a backfire. Now I think I may be a tad rich but I have always run 32:1 Yamalube 2r. Now before everyone tells me to switch my oil, and check my airfilter, and change my plugs,,,,, done that. I have been riding slow lately because I have been giving the kids rides, but I think it may be more than that. I am thinking I should clean the carbs, because I have run crappy gas in the spring for 2 seasons, becuse I didnt drain the tank and left it in the carbs during the winter. I have made no major changes to the shee recently, just oiled the K&N. Checked the plugs and the porceline was a tad darker than chocolate. When I changed the plugs it was fine for a while but bogged a bit again. She runs great in the powerband and the high end but like I said, some times she spits a little on the low end. BTW: she Idles great once she is warmed up I will clean my carbs tomorow morning, and hope for the best. Peace out. Thanks in advance for help
  4. Sombody please copy and paste their stupidity on a this thread, I like to read about dumb people.
  5. I will have to check out that place in marsailles (sp?). Sounds cool. I am hoping that I will make it to the "KItrack" this weekend to check it out. My family is a bunch of crazy fokers, so we should have a blast. My cousin is supposed to get his hands on a 660 (I am guessing its a raptor, he didnt say), But I am hoping to put him in his place. We will see.
  6. To get the satelite DSL with earthlink is 70$ per month!!!!!!!!!, and on top of it they want me to spend 600$ in eqpt, that will loose my connection if the weather is crappy. Earthlink can blow me.
  7. There is this place Called "KItracks". This guy opened it up a year ago, they have a peewee track, a big track, 10 acres of hills and trails, 800 ft drag strip, and some mudd pitts. 5$ a year for the membership, 10$ per day to ride. I guss there is a website and I havent checked it out yet, but all of the info is supposed to be there. It is near the White Pines state park also near Lake Ladonna. Anyone wanna check it out? All that is required is a helmet, bikes and quads are welcome. I could almost ride my banshee there if I wanted to risk getting busted by the cops. New riding area
  8. Well , since I have moved back to IL, we are out in the country and all I can get is dial up, unless I want to pay a mint for satelite internet (which can suck during bad weather). So I went with netzero, and It is a ton faster than standard dial up. I guess their "high speed service" which is 15$ per month actually cuts the JPG quality down on the webpages so that they will load faster. Thas fine with me, and you can adjust the picture quality you want, the lower the quality the faster the pages load. So I would recommend NetZero to anyone else stuck with dialup. Peace out
  9. Did it on a "Big bear 350" in the woods. When we got back to my moms place she said "did you guys see any hunters out there". I was like no, why?. She said there was a hunter in this one tree out there, I knew the tree she was talking about, and I didnt think there would be anyone out there. You should have seen the look on my womans face, Priceless. I didnt care but she sure did. I never did see the hunter, but he probably laughed his ass out of the tree after he saw my little wee wee.
  10. Happy to hear you are recovering, although painful. As I was reading about your breathing issues, I felt like I was having breathing issues. Freaky. Welcome home. At least you wont have to pour a bunch of money back into your banshee to get her road worthy again. Heal up quick. Kepp taking whatever pain pills they gave you.
  11. I have seen these before, the problem is, we will eventually need to buy gas. And even if we dont buy gas on one day, we will buy it the next day. Now If everyone in the USA took a weeks vacation at the same time, stayed home and didnt buy gas, I bet that would do the trick.
  12. Kick ass "Tricktickler W. Glide" is my pimpoliscious name. How did they know I used astroglyde before?
  13. Beat it, I had to cheat on the green wall. But cool game, killed a lot of hours at work. Thanks
  14. Well, I hope he has a speedy recovery. Please dont put any pressure on him to get rid of the banshee. Breaking a mans spirit is worse than death. And to be honest riding these machines, feeling the adrenaline rush and carving some sand is an awsome feeling. The accidents and pain come with the territory, and in my opinion is well worth it. I dont think any ATV is to blame for accidents, rider error is to blame. Blaming an ATV for an accident is like blaming a gun for a murder. My family and I hope the best for him and your family.
  15. I think its fine to mix the gas in your tank. Like it has been said, shut off your petcock (I like that word PET COCK, i do that sometimes at night). But anyway, as long as you mix the right ratio you will be fine. Just monitor how much gas you put in and then put the proper amount of oil. No big deal. And if you were a little rich would it hurt drastically? NO. Even if you were a tad lean you will be fine.
  16. All I can recommend is dont buy cheap wires. I bought cheap ones from autozone once, and had to replace them again in a year (for a car). So spend the extra money on good ones whatever you get. And I would think that some High perf. wires for a car would work fine.
  17. My guess is it goes around the piston ring groove first, then you put the ring on and it keeps the piston ring expanded and centered. But hopefully someone who has done this before can answer it for you. And I will also guess that it goes on the first (top) ring.
  18. The cops were driving too fast in a residential area. Period. Second, If I were to slam into the back of another car or T bone the other car It would be my fault, because I should have been going slow enough to avoid the accident. Anyone who rear ends another vehicle is at fault just because thats how the law is. So I still feel it is the cops fault.
  19. I think Its 1.5" but you better measure to be sure. Thats 1.5" OD.
  20. http://ssshotaru.homestead.com/files/aolertranslator.html Check out this link. Seems pretty typical to the way some people communicate these days.
  21. I did, I added a 1/2". I had bent mine in a rollover. So I took out the stem, Cut off both ends, ground the old weld and tube off the end pieces. Cut a new tube that was a bit thicker wall and 1/2" longer, and welded the ends on. Its pretty easy. You just have to pay attention to make sure that you weld the stop (at the bottom) and the handlebar mount on correctly or you handlebars will be crooked. Good luck.
  22. I saw Rob zombie once with alice cooper and the Scorpions. Awsome show, In fact I had soo much audio and video stuff pumped into my head, I almost passed out (true story), I had 1 beer and no doobies yet, all of the sudden I got light headed and almost passed out, after I sat for a bit I was fine. Weird experience. But Rob Zombie puts on a great show. Cheers to Rob.
  23. Well I am pretty useless as far as information goes but, if i said anything that was helpful you have my permission.
  24. That really sucks, at least the kids made it (as far as we know). But shouldt the cops be held responsible? I mean I thought that they were not supposed to do high speed persuits any more, and let alone 100mph in a residential area that was probably 30mph, thats just asking for people to die. I mean a little kid could have ran in to the street going for a ball and got smacked. That accident was inevitable, if it didnt happen to those people then it would have happened to someone else. Now I am sure the cops feel terrible, I know I would, and who knows maybe the robber does too. No one asked for that to happen, but if my kid got killed (perish the thought), then I dont care who did it, they would pay for it one way or another.
  25. Well, If you have good compression, then maybe you carbs are off?, are the sliders in the correct carb? (there is a left and right) and that will make all the difference in the world, and since you may have taken that apart for your rebuild the it is possible you switched them. Also if that isnt it, then maybe your CDI is bad, but I bet the problem lies in your carbs. Check your carb boots, and all seals.
