BEWARE: Tom Borrink & The Rocket Pipes
trickedcarbine replied to Thack82's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Those are all speculative possibilities. However, SheeRider is correct. There just haven't been many cheetahs to be solid performers. Where the Servals are popping up all over and are thoroughly sorted out and making the numbers. It doesn't matter why the cheetahs have trouble. But it does matter that they are being out gunned by a new design in the real word.- 149 replies

BEWARE: Tom Borrink & The Rocket Pipes
trickedcarbine replied to Thack82's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Remember the cheetah wasn't designed to be some torque monster for trail guys. It was designed to cater to the dune/hill shooting guys who are usually wide open, but occasionally find them selves needing a bit of early on grunt for hills and what not. I believe if Calvin held off on cub for a bit and worked with Harry on further development, there very well could have been a more solid approach to the cheetah's.- 149 replies

All this talk about gun control... Have these fucks came up with a plan as to how they intend on employing the multitude of people who currently work the manufacturing, small gun shops, sales, etc? Where do they all go if the democrats have their way in the future?

Cheetah squish and pitting on pistons and domes
trickedcarbine replied to Cali421's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
What did the bore look like? No major scaring? Typically with nikasil you just do a fast diamond hone only if it's needed, and just keep chucking new Pistons and rings in there. Try to avoid honing it if possible as it's just a coat of plating in there. -
People's rights are being infringed. I'm baffled that the NRA doesn't have lawyers putting together a suit.

I've done some quirky testing with the original Rockets. You need a larger Stinger diameter for them to function on a motor that size. I cut mine up and ran 7/8", 1", 1 1/8", on a 440cc motor. Results were much more favorable on larger stinger. It let them actually pull RPM as well.- 149 replies

Cheetah squish and pitting on pistons and domes
trickedcarbine replied to Cali421's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Deck height is measured at the edge of the piston crown. Get the motor at TDC and measure from the deck of the cylinder to the edge of that crown. -
I know. I'm just pouring gas on the fire.

He is an imbelish everything kind of guy. If you are public about everything, then folks talk shit. So he just stays off the radar yet his phone keeps ringing. It baffles me.- 149 replies

Two thoughts. No amount of engineering thought, theory, and Internet diagrams is gonna change the fact that LED's hand made stuff is capable of crushing an out of the box stamped options with smooth interiors. Look at the dynos. Second being that LED = LRD. We both know they dug their trenches in the GNCC world and dominated.- 149 replies

YFZ450/Banshee Spacers Needed for Suspension Swap
trickedcarbine replied to 97Screamer's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
The physical dimension on the pivot points of the YFZ and Banshee are totally different on the frame. For all the time, money, and aggravation you would have invested in it, you can find quality used aftermarket banshee arms and be much happier. -
Oversized radiator. Quality impeller, even if it's a fresh OEM with a new bearing and seal, good coolant, and it keep it jetted right and it won't over heat.
-
Try them out and if ya need some big bore Shearers to try instead, I'll sell ya a set. I'm gonna pony up for these Sniper Doohickeys.
-
Sure it locks it up, but the difference in the new stuff is the ability to apply pressure at a more progressive rate. That means more control before the bike skids or slides.
