  1. Typically you will only see it on very large CC motors. If you put a center point in the bores of a stock case based banshee motor the spread is 102mm. With different cases and cylinders you can spread the cylinders out giving them more room to increase bore size, add cooling( just absurd on a motor that size), and also increase transfer volume so you can feed a motor that large. This also requires a different crank as well. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=162506
  2. Relieved so the piston goes up in to the dome.
  3. Negative. Not the cylinder I'm referring to. The sniper cylinder is spread bore cylinder from Twister. The sniper pipes are made by SRP. And I suppose there could be a builder out there with sniper in the name. But not around here.
  4. Well fuck, here we go. When I started debating what cylinder to use on my 10mm, everybody here ran me through the mud for wanting a twister. Even a few engine builders stated they prefer the cp stuff. Out of the box CC for CC the CP ind. stuff will make better numbers. But for rich fellas like you buying a Sniper Cylinder or Big Block, that's a totally different story.
  5. Or the head. Either there is a spacer plate or stepped domes.
  6. Not quite. They're damn good, but the CP stuff is a step ahead.
  7. Yeah, bigelow is fast.
  8. No, I said POV. Which means from your Point Of View. You need to actually be wearing the helmet to pull that off.
  9. What about hydro dipping them at JDS
  10. Has any one used their GoPro on their helmet to make amateur POV porn at home yet?
  11. If it's a Duner or Drag bike, yeah a nice paint job can go nicely. But when I see trail bikes with ho hum paint jobs I just think eww....... You would probably be better off buffing the plastics to their original luster instead.
  12. Look in the hole on the end of the input shaft on the transmission. You should have a ball in there as well as a rod.
  13. Definitely my new approach. Got fucked around by low rate companies trying to save a buck. Now I'm out what I paid them and what they should be paying. I expect a frugal life style for the next year or so to mop the mess up. From now on with any insurance, I will pay top dollar to the huge reputable companies gladly. It only takes getting fucked one time to be totally fucked.
  14. I sort of pictures his crib like crocodile Dundee's
  15. Big enough.
  16. No RZ350 guys out there? They seem to finally be catching up to the banshee guys in engine tech. Either way, try and do as much as you can through one builder. Much less headache.
  17. Lock up would definitely be prefered, but if the motor makes anything over 80hp, you'll need one. Definitely OEM stator, or race tech. Just google "Rickey stator bansheehq" A round house swinger is way easier to adjust and keep it right. Maier is definitely hit or miss. There are a lot of really cool aftermarket companies. Full bore is making another run. That would be ideal. If not there are a lot of really nice aftermarket hoods out but no many options out back. Otherwise there is a lot of nice used stock stuff. Only buy second hand motors that are very well documented. Sprink's is a good example. If you don't wanna do all the assemble it, it maybe in your best interest to have a builder do it for you. There are a few who get motors shipped properly and headache free.
  18. ^ nothing further. That's a bitchin deal. Get her fixed up and enjoy it.
  19. Dude, I don't know what it was about the torquey porn thread, but now I can't even get near a tool box with out getting wood or wondering if a fellas torque wrench is inch pound or foot pound...... I even quit beating off traditionally. Now, I have to actually physically beat my dick with a real torque wrench to get off.
  20. FFS. Take photos on the phone of things as you're doing them. PM me a phone number and I will text you back for photos. I will then use my free tap talk app to post them here. Really, photos shut everybody up. Hope that if it's not right you get a refund or if it's a turd tune it gets sorted or whatever. Definitely gotta have some type of validity to an argument though. Best of luck
  21. Not very drop in ready with no trans, stator side or clutch side...... WFO, what would it take to get you to sell the motor complete? Minus carbs and pipes.
  22. As always we love pics of fast time slips or holes in pistons. God speed and good luck to your wallet. It's kinda the way it goes the first time out on a big motor like that.
