  1. Well, guess ya learn something new every day. Thanx dude
  2. Yea, I got some blueing on my t5's, and that suckers dead on.
  3. what sort of problems mite you be worried about
  4. I think the lesson we can all learn from this is: If your gunna invest all kinds of money on some sick parts, dont cut any corners!!! Just go all the way and do it right. It may cost more now, but in the long run, it'll probably cost you less. Because, anything worth doing, is worth doing right.
  5. Was it not doing that before? Or atleast not as much?
  6. FUCK TRINITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never recommend trinity for anything(other than cubs of coarse)!!!!!!!!!!!! All of my dealings with them was a total waist of time To answere the topic question-T5's for sure
  7. Right On.!!!!!!!!!!
  8. try contacting Dennis Packard at packardracing.com he will custom set-up a pair of lectron carbs. for your ridding contitions/style. I got a pair of 36's from him, and I wouldnt recommend any other brand of carb-these f**kers ripp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Sure try the T5's. Ya really cant miss
  10. Anyone ever used or know about VP-U2? When I bought my carbs. from "Packard Racing", he told me to give er' a try. He said it made almost as big of an increase a alcy. And that guy knows about power and how to make it. So has anyone tried it??
  11. I have the same set up(plus a few things). and i use a stock plug gap. No worries so far- infact the f**ker hauls some serious ASS!
  12. Check out ebay. I got one for $45 shipped. Its a wave rotor style w/iron cross vents cut out. It fit and works really well. So give ebay a shot. -Just my two cents.-
  13. Word. I got the same power valves on my Lectrons. Cant beat how easy they are to adjust. While everyone else is sittin in the sand playin with there dicks trying to figger out what jets to use, all we gotta do is turn a couple of screws. And thats it.
  14. Save your money till you have enough to get ported. You wont notice all the beniffits from a stroker crank if your not ported. You mite even think about getting your stock crank trued and welded.
  15. Word!!!!!!! Thats would be killer!!!!
  16. dudes, I had a 686 craptor built by trinity( thats two strikes). AND IT SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! The f**ker never ran well. NEVER!!!!!!! And I spent/waisted more money one that damn thing(thats three strikes and your out!) than ive ever spent on the bansh. And It could'nt even compete with my shee. I guess the best thing you could do if you have craptor problems is to sell it for parts and buy a bansh. I hate talkin shit on anyones quad, but coming from someone who had a quad like that...... SELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. So I think im gunna do a clutch over the off-season. I ride about 90% dunez with some drag racing from time to time Anyone got a particular brand they like or would recommend? Is it a good idea to get the whole assembly at the same time. I.E. plates, basket, preasure plate, ect...... Also is it something I could do at home. Im handy but im not a tech. Thanx for the advice dudes BHQ all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Dude, no matter what you do, you'll sure loose money when you build a quad. Weather its from scratch, or if you just modifing an existing bike But if ya want to build one your self, first thing is:buy a "Clymer" shop manual. It'll tell ya the in's and out's of banshee build up's or tear down's. Also make a game plan of what kind of banshee you want to build. That way you dont spend money needlessly. P.S. check out ebay for some good deal. JMTC
  19. There are a few ways to gain some ponies without having to spend all your pennies. One way is to buy an adjustable timming plate from "ricky stator". There only like $35, and they make a bigger differance than you mite think Or you can get your flywheel lightend, thats usually around $100. Makes for faster revs. Thats always good! Ive heard getting your carbs bored does'nt make much of a differance, though thats just what ive heard. Not sure how much it costs though.
  20. I think the Pro-Circut Platnums would work great for trails. They make power right from the get go I have t5's. There a bad ass pipe, they mite also be a good choise. Ive also heard the DMC has some pipes that would work well for your riding areas. Let us know what you decide.
  21. it depends on the condition of your cylinders. if there still in good shape, you'll only have to get them honed and you'll be able to keep stock bore size. if not, go .030 over and get some wiezco pistons. Mabee while your at it think about getting it ported also. JMTC
  22. +4 seems be the tried and true number. Dont retard your timming(unless you plan on using a turbo). A friend of mine just advanced his timming from +4 to +7, not too big of a differance in power, though he did heve to start running straight race fuel. So IMO, start with +4, and got from there
  23. Dude, hot rods are connecting rods. They have nothing to do with building power. They have everything to do with your motors ability to handle a lot of power. If you build your motor up, sooner or later your gunna want to make the moving parts inside your motor srtonger. Thats why people get the cranks welded and trued. So if you've got a high horsepower motor, then you should be interested in Hotrods. If all you've got are pipes and a cool head, dont worry about em'
