Usually an easy way to tell if its been ported, is to look into the intake port. If it still has black pain, its unported, if its bare metal, its ported. Though that alone couldent tell ya what kind of port you have done.

do the reed peddles have to be flush and tight against the cages? Mine stand up by about a millimeter(not a lot at all). There not cracked or nothing like that, they just "hover" a little Thanx!

do you intend to ride this quad? cuz if you ride in sand at all, all that paint on your swinger, frame, and everywhere elso is just gunna get chipped then start flakin off. Sounds cool though

Last week, Mexico City Mexico was struck by an earthquake measuring 6.9. It was the largest quake in the nations recorded history. dudes i went to my local dunes and I saw a truck roll up haulin a 06 raptor and an 06 yfz. There was some little hottie ridin the raptor so I was'nt payin too much attention too the raptors performance. But it looked pretty cool. Also, the new raptors are f**kin quiet!!! When it rolled past my camp, I couldnt hardly hear it.

Check this one out----Hair Spray!!!---thats right hair spray. Get a can of cheap airisol hair spray, give em' a good squert, slip on your grips, wait a little bit. Then your good to go. But alway use safty wire.

Damn, you guys are GREAT!!!!!! I brought my reeds to one of my local shops and they said because my reeds werent cracked or brocken, to just flip them over. So thats what im gunna do. As for the gearing I believe ill try the 15tooth front sprocket. See what that does. Also the day of that race i was running a 50/50 mix of 91 and 110 octane. And I was racing on dirt (sorta loose, and sorta hard packed. You know the type). THanx for all the help you guys, its my first bansh, so im kinda learning by doing. Alright dudes, the 4th gear start was retarded, I was just tryin somethin new, and no dice. So lets just move on. Ive called all my local engine builders and they say 130psi is ok, but with my poet and carbs, the main problem is my domes are a little small. They recommended 18cc, or even 17cc. domes. But now my main question is, should the reed peddles be laying down flush against the cages. My right side reeds stand up about a millimeter. Does that mean I need new reeds? Well starting in fourth was a wrong idea on stock gears, But the problem still remains. It boggs really bad. Well I tore it down, I looked at the reeds, and the left side looks wierd. Are the reeds supposed to sit flush against the cage? My left side reeds sit up about a millimeter. Ivew never seen a bad set so im not sure if thats bad or not. Could use some help here. Thanx dudes.

I still have stock gears front/rear. And is 130psi low?? if it was'nt for my port i'd be around 150. The top-end looked fine when I had the head off. Could it be a reed problem? Ive got an 01' bansh with quite a few mods (check out my sig.). With my set-up, you'ed think my quad is hella fast, but I lost to a mostly stock 05' bansh(I think he only had CPI's, pods, and gears). What the hell It starts and runs pretty damn well-even at w.o.t.- though I do feel some hesitation-but not much at all. When I was draggin, I started in 4th and dumped the clutch while pinned- and it launches freakin hard, then when i shift, it boggs out bad. I have 19cc domes in it,and making 130psi. Should i go to 18's?? Im thinkin I mite because im gettin so much fuel from my Lectrons. What do you guys think???? BHQ RULES P.S. Im not sure what kind of porting I have. Is there any way to find out just my measuring the intake ports?

nope should'nt be a problem. Though you mite wanna think about adding "water wetter". it'll lower you coolent temp, and lub your coolant moving parts(i.e. your water pump impeller and others). Plus its just cheap insurance. A bottle of water wetter is only like $10

always keep an open mind to future mods. You never know what you mite want to do down the line. Go with the t5's- ya cant miss!!!

You mite wanna check out some pc platnums, my friend has them on his shee, and his power band is awsome! It spreads all over the rpm range, and it still makes damn good power on top. But ill still kick his ass when it comes to drag racin(i got t5's). As for your two options, i'd got with the t5's But dont take my word for it

First off, welcome to the HQ Now what do you mean "all the way"? what sort of riding do you do? what sort of bansh are you wanting to build?

Im sure the T6's are a good performing pipe. There only problem is, they will hurt your performance if you decide to ever port or other engine mods of that nature. And im sure, like most of us here at the HQ, you are a power fanatic! Im sure your planing on something that would make T6's just not a good investment. Ya really cant miss with t5's!

Damn!!!! $4000? that sucks. I got my 01' shee this summer for $3400, and it was already ported, piped w/ reeds and a cool head. But I guess thats cali. for ya
