  1. 4mm, stock bore, redline dune port, stock carbs, 93 octane pump gas, duncan coolhead with 21cc domes, VF3's, CPI inframes, +4 on the timing soon will have some 28 bored to 30 PWK's, and run some 110 octane with higher comp domes......should give me a few more ponies
  2. what's all included in the bottom end?
  3. i didn't see in the listing if a charger and battery come with?
  4. much love for PS No tellin how much work I'd get done if I'd never come across e2s, PS, and HQ. Just hope my IT dept never starts tracking net usage
  5. gotta give a nod to Cameron at Redline sharp guy that kinda flies under the radar. he and dan @ patriot are pretty tight, or so I've heard.
  6. Find some bikes where you ride and ask them who ported them. There are probably a ton of local shops that are more than capable of doing good work. That way if you have a problem, you don't have to deal with shipping parts back/forth. Lots of those shops mentioned do good work, but most of them have a lead time of over a month or 2 and aren't going to create anything magical for a set of stock cylinders from "joe blow" off the street. Odds are that if you buy a dune port from any of them, you're gonna get a motor that will dyno within a couple of HP regardless who built it, all other parts equal (pipes, etc). That's my $.02
  7. You can't really go wrong with CPI's or Shearer inframes, so long as you have the port job to go with it. Odds are that you will gain a couple of peak HP with the shearers but lose a couple of HP lower in the curve.
  8. I run 3 toomeys and 3 stock, no slippage.
  9. I've had dish network 2 different times now and have no complaints. Had it for about 2 years, went back to cable, and switched back to dish. Cheaper and better quality video in my area anyway. I don't have the HD setup though, so that part I can't comment on.
  10. 62.03% I'd like to thank my ex for some good times that almost offset the bad times Brooke, I can help you with your score
  11. T5's I think are the best all around pipe you can buy, especially for duning and a mostly stock motor and will work well with ported cylinders as well.
  12. you will have more HP through the entire curve, and yes, it will be very noticeable
  13. Really, what Holyman said is true. But, no matter how big a builder is, word of mouth travels fast. If they make a habit out of this, the doors will close on their shop sooner or later. When you see someone ask about where to get motor work done and somebody recommends this builder, briefly summarize your encounter without getting personal. I do feel for ya though. Sucks when you finally get some $$ to upgrade and get the run around for a couple of months, when you could've just been riding your bike near the entire time it sat idle in a shop. Many people get shafted on out of area deals. Learn from it and find a reputable local builder. I'm sure Cali has quite a few within driving distance.
  14. I live in Oregon and don't think that you need a spark arrestor for the dunes. I'm fairly certain you don't. I've been riding here for quite a while and have never even been stopped to check my offroad tag or for sound either.
  15. try a different guage? I've seen some pretty substantial differences among guages. how are you measuring? way I've always seen it done is to hold throttle wide open and kick the bitch til the needle quits rising.
  16. 310 might not be that far off. I think I was running 320's with T5's and K&N's.
  17. if you are planning on keeping your shee, i'd pull the crank and get it welded anyway. better safe than sorry imho.
  18. I bought the VF3's because my builder told me that I'd pick up an addition 1 or 2 HP over the VF2's with my motor, because he had dyno'd them on his motors. I'm not gonna drop his name or anything, but the guy knows his shit. He also had the fastest cub motor at KoTH at Sand Mountain this year. I know a couple of differences between the 2's and 3's. The 3's are screwless. The petals lock into the cage. The 3's also have symmetrical petals, so the petals are identical now. Other than that, dunno, but my VF3's aren't "modded".
  19. no doubt in my mind that doctor could win any night on fear factor. what a freak
  20. my point, fuckface, is that this site seems more a popularity contest than it is a forum for learning about banshee performance. i thought that a mod would have a bit more class than that as to bash someone from behind the scenes here where he is popular. notice that he didn't post jack shit in the forum it was originally posted in. i come here to learn about the shit in my garage, period, not make friends or swap spit in the showers. if i cared about what you personally thought of me, i'd post pics of my gf on my quads and get the thumbs up from everyone too. dan will forget more than most people on this site will ever learn about 2 stroke motors, and it was a classless thing to do.
  21. like someone mentioned before, some places you can actually rent guns and try them out. first, i'd consider which type of handgun you desire (revolver, single action auto, double action auto, double action only auto, glock) target shooters prefer single action auto's due to the light trigger pull. 9mm is a nice target round because it's cheap and has very little recoil i'd consider just holding some guns and see what feels comfortable in your hands. a double-stacked .45 magazine makes for an awful bulky grip that's just a tad too big for my hand. once you find some comfortable guns, close your eyes and point the gun as if you were gonna shoot it. open your eyes and see how far off the muzzle is from where you thought it would be. guns have different grip angles, which is another reason i didn't get a glock. you want something that's natural to your hand and grip. myself, i have a sigp220 .45, and a sigp239 .40SW, but I bought them to carry, not target shoot.
  22. if you're gonna keep the cylinders non-ported, stick with your T6's. if you get your cylinders ported, your builder will most likely ask you what type of riding you do and port to your specs and have a pipe that will work best with the application. Rockets seem to popular here on HQ, but I've yet to see a banshee run them in Oregon, and believe me there are a ton of banshees here. I would like to get a set to dyno on my bike, because I'm curious. Personally, I have T5's and CPI's and I'm very pleased with them.
  23. backcountry (Dan at patriot racing) is only like one of the most reputable builders in the NW. by detune, I think he means shifting the HP curve to a lower RPM to give you more low end torque.
  24. pawn these off yet? my offer looks better every day
