Recently brought my banshee up to the place I'm staying at school, and looking to get it out on a frozen lake.. Problem is, I dont have many tools up here and its not wanting to run too smooth.. Its a ported 4mm, Cpi's, 35pwks I have it jetted fairly rich, 160mains 55 pilots, cel needle one spot down from the center.. I can get is started with full choke, and need to play around between throttle and choke to get it to keep running when its cold.. when its finally warmed up enough to ride, I give it a shot of gas and it often falls on its face and dies.. then can take a shit load of kicks to bring to a run again....which i find weird.. I think my airscrews are about 3 turns out, could it be as simple as turning them in to get this thing on its feet again? If its as simple as that I feel stupid posting this, but Im sitting at college bored out of my mind.. nothing better to do.. Thanks for any help.. Brad

I'd like to throw another vote out there for Flotek.... Excellent work and turn around time... I think my 4mm port is stronger than most other 4mm jobs, and its very fair prices!

If you want to buy one I'd HIGHLY recommend getting it from Denny @ www.flotekperformance.com I truely believe they offer a much stronger spark and better burn, not sure how much of that can be felt in the seat of the pants though..

Hey guys Just wondering if theres a company that makes a bracket to mount the nology coil on the banshee? I read somewhere that its best to have it placed a couple feet away if possible from the head(not sure why this is) Currently I have mine taped on my frame with electrical tape.. its a real hack job, but its making due at the moment.. I might n*gger rig something up out of aluminum if I cant find a better solution... thanks for any help Brad

I modded mine and they're holding up great.. Just drilled 2 small holes in each one and put a small bolt through, then locking nut on the other side.. I would recommend using locktite, and make the holes big enough that you can use the largest diameter bolt possible without wrecking it all together.. I tried smalled ones and they accually would break the ends off from all the vibration... Good luck

Hey guys, I have had this sitting around too long and it would be great to get it out of my room and to someone who could use it.. Its a MINT crank out of my 2003 banshee, I took it out in 04 and I would say it has less than 30 hours on it.. All packaged up and ready to rock.. My ports weren't lined up and the blowby is the oil thats been running into the ring area of the piston. Corrective action has been taken. Thanks for all the input

Assuming they weren't honed(Im honestly not 100% sure) would I be able to hone them now and put a new set of rings in and have them seat correctly? I'm running blue marble 32:1, been using this oil for a few years on another motor and never had this before..

Broke it Correctly... 3 heat cycles then took it easy for a tank.. Always let it warm up good before hammering on it..
