  1. I havent tried Shearers, but love my CPI's on my 4mm dune port.. I dont know what Matt is like as far as guy to deal with, but after reading this post I'm not sure I'd be willing to support him.. at least a few members definitely have some bad impressions..
  2. might have some junk clogging up the pilot jet.. have you looked at the plug and ensured that the plug cap snaps on securely? My bro has an 86.. of course they were liquid cooled by then, but non the less 250r trikes are f'ing awesome.
  3. By the looks of that hackjob clusterfucking mess, I'd say the only thing that was ported was your wallet and your ass.. I've had my bad experience with local porters as well.. Taking my set of stock bore cylinders, keeping them for a month, refusing to let me put my own motor back together, and then when it doesn't perform and I take it apart, I find ZERO porting done, but its been bored out to 66.00... I found that to be an awesome deal for $350... no refunds and hangups we're all I ever got in return..
  4. It seemed to run good off both sets, although I'll take that advice if they are perhaps better for gas. Thanks
  5. Both sets squish around .045
  6. yes.. one set has "19" scratched into the sides, and the other has 20 scratched in.. neither set is suppose to be cut for the crank, I am running a spacer plate.. I am more or less asking if that is the way 1cc difference usually looks.. I was expecting them to be cut the same in the center and one just not as deep... Considering both sets have me kicking 145psi, my thought (until i'm able to cc them) is that they are both 20cc - one set is mislabeled and they are cut for "different" applications.. but that is jumping to conclusions.
  7. I have a set of both 19cc and 20cc noss domes, I am kicking over 145psi in each cylinder with both sets. I took my head off and am getting some new o-rings as the ones the fit along the domes are questionable.. When looking at the domes its obvious to tell they are cut different.. Is this they way 19's should look in comparison with 20's? I'm running them in a 4mm with spacer plate. Bought the one set from a member, i forget who.. and I'm basically just wondering if they look cut for a different application, the 19's have the smaller combustion hole, but its deeper.
  8. Belleville area.. about 1.5 hrs east of Toronto. We should get out for a rip sometime.
  9. Yes.. that may indeed be your problem... Usually people label the pistons when they plan to use them again.. Unfortunitly without doing so its pretty hard guess it.. I was assuming you have a fresh bore and new rings.. since you said you were doing "heat Cycles" Either way I think you may have came to your problem..
  10. couple heat cycles and then a wide open run isn't a good way to break in a motor.. You probably made the bore go out of round.
  11. Any chance one of your carb slides is getting stuck open?
  12. When my friends bike had a similar knock, we decided that it was piston slap.. we rebuilt the top end with new pistons and bore, and just to be sure it wasnt a crank issue, he bought a brand new hot rods crank as well.. After being broke in correctly, the knock came back.. He now rides the shit out of it, and nothing ever let go, but its quite annoying when you can hear a knocking sound over the t-5 pipes...
  13. flywheel tight? crank bearing? waterpump bearing? my buddy has a similar knock and we're still trying to figure it out a season of hard riding later..
  14. What color is the frame, and would you be able to ship to Canada?
  15. I'd be giving it a quick hone and new rings if I got that compression reading.. your 20cc domes will bring it up a bit, but with increased compression if you have some wear on it now it will probably be accelerated...
  16. Your askin for trouble without plates and insurance just about anywhere you want to ride.. Decibels are suppose to be 96 or under at the Gan, but i've never been checked and I've heard that anyone who's every been over, just gets warned, so its fairly lax. You do need plates and liability insurance to ride there though..
  17. I have 165mains in my flotech 4mm right now.. it revs all the way out and pulls hard throughout.. I'm running 35pwks though..
  18. 94 pump... I think it has some additives to bring it to the 94 mark though.
  19. Its about a dimes thickness.. leaning towards a nickel...
  20. $300 for Flexx bars seems steep, but arm pump in the dunes is exactly why I bought mine, and they totally eliminated arm pump for me and made the dunes an enjoyable experience.. so I felt they were worth it.
  21. I thought they were for a primer.. either way, I blocked mine off.. as they would suck air and lean you out if you don't.
  22. I've never done a plug chop before, so I thought I'd try it and see how close I am with the main jet.. How do these look? Thanks for any opinions/advice. Brad
  23. This was absolutely an awesome trip, and if theres some folks around that didnt make it out, we shall do it again. pics and video on page 5 http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthr...8387&page=5
  24. I know there are more Southern Ontario folk on here... Lets get out from under them rocks, suppose to be a beautiful day!
