  1. jeff offers a mod to the shift shaft to make it shift better, he also has a lighter spring for the detent lever to make shifts easier. I have the spring, now I am waiting on my shift shaft, I will see if this helps, I use mtl 80w oil, maybe I will try something else, what is everyone else running ??
  2. that is exactly what mine is doing too!! jeff and I are working on a way to make it shift without going over ride. I still dune and trail ride my shee!!!
  3. when I lanuch my bike is will let me shift up to third gear find but some times when you go to shift the rest of the gears you pull up on the shifter and nothing happens, it will not shift until you lift on the throttle shift then get back into it. kind of hard to win races when you cant get it to change gears. has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be??
  4. I was riding the orange powder coated banshee with race cut front and rear blue plastic, and the bare 3/3 tube +8 swinger.. can't wait to get the jetting closer and do some more tuning on the chasis.
  5. you guys missed some great racing when you left early!!!!!!!!!!
  6. my bike ran great for only having a half hours worth of break in and jetting for mi, but I had a great time and met up with some cool people, can't wait for the next one, I will be goin for more than a weekend though. long ass drive for sure.. thanks for everything jeff!!!
  7. just wondering what everyone is running jetting wise on there cub motors, mine is a 421 with small bore inframe shearers, 39pwk carbs, vf3's on gas. and I am at sea level, I am running 165 mains, 60 slow jet, and DGH needles

  9. yeah +5 was with stock cylinders, no porting. my old setup was t5's noss head with 19cc domes ported stock cages with tdr reeds, +5 on the timing, stock carbs with the dyno jet jet kit, and a 2 into 1 air filter

  11. friend of mine needs a stock stroke crank, e tosted his, let me know what ya got
  12. what kind of riding do you do? where abouts do you do most of your riding, this will help us decide which route you should go. also what kind of price range are you looking at sticking with?
  13. most of the aftermarket clutches do not need to be installed like the oem ones because they all are the same with no tabs sticking out like the stock ones. when you get your new clutch kit, take the steals and set them up against your stock steal plates you should be able to tell right away what everyone is talking about. also unless you bought a new stock clutch you don't have to reuse the rubber o-rings that are on the stocker. let me know if this makes any sense
  14. I ran +5 with my t5's with no problem, so you should be fine at +4
  15. F.A.S.T. from jeff, my 100hp cub can't even slip it!!! give him a call 785-364-5325
  16. friend of mine is very intrested, do you still have it? are you going to be around tomarrow 9-24-05 so we could take a ride out and look it over?? you do live in MI right?? whats the bottom line you are willing to go?? let me know asap thanks J.T.
  17. parts are in the mail, so as long as there is no surprises I will be there around 1-2pm on friday.
  18. still have it, let me have your email address and I will be happy to send pics your way.
  19. do you have a work bench?? if so drill a hole so the end of the axle with the threads on it will fit through so that the lip that the wheel hub sits aginst rests on the top of the work bench, then hold the other end of the axle, hit the sprocket hub working around it till it comes off. this is how I did mine, only had to beat the piss out of it to get it to move. good luck, let me know if you need anymore help.
  20. when I changed mine to a round house carrier I ended up pulling the swing arm off, pulled the tires, and set it on the ground, I then took to big cresent wrenches and my dad stood on one end and I kicked the other one a couple of times till it came loose good luck.
  21. I was looking around on the net and I found out that LS is at 1473 feet above sea level, my question is, I am coming from michigan which is at sea level, what should I do with my jetting ??
  22. I am sure jeff from FAST has them!! I have tryed everything I could think of to see if he does not have something, with no luck!!! give him a call 785-364-5325
  23. sparkys are about 72.00 from dune land. there is a 94 db limit, and of course you have to have a flag (duh) I would say as long as its an off weekend you will not have any problems. I always take my bike in, in the back of a truck so they don't hit me for db, remember the sparkys will make your bike louder, I slip them on till I get in, then I take them off and leave them in the truck, never got a ticket yet, just remember if you leave the dune area and try and ride back in without them you will not get back in!! if you can't meet db, stick some steel wool in the sparky between the silencer and the sparky till tyou get in and it will make it meet db. but like I said earlier, if its and off weekend you will not have any problems, they get real strick on the big holidays.
  24. last winter I had my stock tires broke down and I used snowmobile studs in them, on the ice it was like riding on concrete, and in the deep stuff it would dig down and go like hell !!!
