  1. I would like to know the answer to this too.Mine has also gone bad.
  2. Ditch the box.Let that engine breath.Don't forget that with all that extra air, you'll most likely have to jet it fatter.I've never had an air box on my banshee and have had no problems, just can't bust thru water holes.
  3. Might call upp.I really like mine.
  4. Anybody ever been to the Dyersburg track.I haven't,but I have been to the track at Sikeston.Don't think Sikeston will let you run quads, but they have a good track for cars.Like how they run the classes too.
  5. Haven't got the wheelie bar fixed yet.Hopefully will be ready in a week or two.
  6. That should be fine.Might try a 280.Might first try staying with the 300 and move the clip up one notch on the needle. It's mostly trial and error.
  7. I don't think I'd worry about the flywheel.Getting the crank welded is a good idea.Banshee is right, you can get a cheaper port job.Don't let them talk you into a drag porting,if that's not what you plan on doing with it.Just a good port job will do wonders.20 cc domes would do just fine.Who ever you buy the head from, ask what they would suggest.Make up your mind what exactly you want to do with the bike(trails, drags, all around bike).Don't let them talk you into something you don't want.
  8. Good pistons.I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  9. A friend of mine is having his quadzilla totally rebuilt. The entire engine had to be tore apart. He also had it ported by FTZ.He is really wanting to go to St.Joe once it's together.I'll go with him if I don't have to work.
  10. It's important to get a builder you can trust.I've never used passion, but have heard good things about him.You should tell him what you plan on doing with your banshee, and he should have some suggestions. He'll most likely have a pipe he prefers. If you mostly ride trails, then you don't need a drag port.
  11. Here's a small list:PORTING(huge difference),Toomey T-5's,Pro-design K&N airfilter kit(can then eliminate the lid),get the head shaved, wiseco pro-lite pistons,v-force reeds. This will really wake up a banshee.Don't waste your money on a boost bottle.Make sure you get porting done that fits your type of riding.Don't let them talk you into a drag port.Banshees really like breaking the tires loose.Might need a more aggressive tire?A banshee with these mods will smoke a stock banshee.Make sure you get the jetting right. Can burn up a banshee if it runs too lean.
  12. I was having a similar problem awhile back.It only needed the clutch cable adjusted at the perch.Make sure you have a little play in the clutch lever when you first start pulling it.Made a HUGE difference.
  13. Other companies have shearer beat as far as the chrome goes.Shearers pipes are the hardest pulling pipe I've used yet.I love the performance of them. They are definitely not a trail pipe.
  14. The shearers are awesome.Mid to top end is where these pipes really shine. They are not a good trail riding pipe.Great for drags.
  15. You would be surprised how many people think that. They probably are compared to the smaller banshee pipes, but the in-frame cpi's,shearer,etc.. can really put out some good hp.#'s.The out of frames look racier, but that is just looks.I like the out of frames, but prefer the in-frames.
  16. Get porting, head shaved, wiseco pro-lite pistons, and v-force reeds.Even with stock carbs.,he should not be a problem. The porting helped mine alot.Go with shearer pipes and bigger carbs. The YFZ will get smoked big time then. That will be one fast banshee. Before someone gets upset over me suggesting shearer pipes, there are alot of good pipes out there.I just prefer the shearers.
  17. Let me know if you decide to go sometime, and I'll meet you somewhere. You do have to turn off of 412 once you get into Paragould. If you guys ever want to get ahold of me just PM me.
  18. I've tried FMF Fatties and Toomey T-5's.I liked the T-5's alot more. They'll work great in the dunes.
  19. I personally like my shearer in-frames.Just because a bike has drag pipes, doesn't mean he's fast.I've beat bikes with drag pipes and have lost to some too.The in-frames make it more of a sleeper.Just my preference.
  20. Hey Blake,I'm from Paragould,Arkansas(Northeast).I really like my Banshee. They are getting some very good #'s out of the 350's.Mine is ported and on alcohol. It will surprise you how much harder it pulls than just a piped banshee.I don't think there is such a thing as fast enough.Just too broke to buy more parts for awile.Let me know where in Ar. you are.
  21. I'm hoping to get the shift mod before too long. It's a cheap mod,yet every time I have a question,he is quick to answer my questions. That means something to me.I've seen some of the drag banshees he's done run.Awesome doesn't even begin to describe them.
  22. I've seen some pretty fast bikes with the 28's.I'm using the 35 PWK's.They are converted to alcohol.I think where you'll notice the bigger carbs advantage is on the top end.The 28's will probably be more responsive.I'm also using shearer pipes.Got to really get the revs up before launching.Awesome on top end though.
  23. One of my friend's banshees has Pro-circuits.It has no bottom end.It runs really good once you get up in the rpms. You may have some jetting issues, but it may just be the pipes.I had fmfs when I rode his for the first time.Mine was alot easier to take off on.
  24. Shouldn't that mouse be tired by now John?LOL!
  25. Go to planet sand's forums. In the where to ride section,Oklahoma, there is a guy that goes by the name BOSSHOGG.I think he uses Mikuni's.I raced him and I got smoked. He's got a really fast banshee.Maybe he can help.He rides at Little Sahara,or at least that's where I raced him at.The banshee he was on had a green drag frame and black fullbore plastic. It was awesome.
