  1. Do you still have the TORS on your banshee?
  2. I had one(20c.c.domes).I couldn't really tell a power difference,but it's a very good looking cylinder head.
  3. WAIT,WAIT,WAIT!!!!!!!Don't take it to a shop.Unless it's someone you know, you're fixing to spend a bus load of money for nothing.Mine use to act up some when it got wet.Doesn't seem too bad now.Without an airbox, busting water holes is not a good idea.If you ride in water,I'd suggest going back to an airbox. If it starts doing it when it's dry,let me know.Might have a few more things to look at that might be causing your problems.
  4. I was having alot of problems starting my banshee at LS one year. After we got back one of my friends told me (not sure why he didn't tell me out there,LOL) that when he starts his he doesn't give it any gas.I really thought you had to give it a little gas when starting it,but I tried it and it worked. Not sure it's your problem, but it worked for mine. I wonder also if your stator might be going bad? What's the timing set on?
  5. Definitely get porting. It makes a HUGE difference. With some bolt-ons you won't even be able to tell a difference.
  6. I've found a set of cheetah cylinders with powervalves(400 c.c.).This will be with the stock stroke, and I'll most likely get it drag ported. It will be on alcohol too.I've already have ported stock cylinders with more horsepower to be gained with more porting.Am I better off with the cheetahs or will the stock cylinders with more porting be the better way to go?Need people's opinions that have tried both.Thanks.
  7. That's a whole lota gator.
  8. I did buy the used set I found.Would like to thank you for answering my questions though.Again, thank you.
  9. Thanks for the replies.I think I might have found a used set of drag a-arms.If that deal doesn't work, sounds like you have a very good deal.Might be getting back in contact with you.Again,Thanks.Just wanted to let you know what's going on.
  10. Asking because I don't know the answer.What type of shock are they designed for?The -2 and +2.Please explain.Thanks.
  11. Please let me explain. The really fast YFZ's were using drag frames.I believe I heard they weighed between 250 and 300 lbs?Not sure what hp. they were putting out.Probably with overrides.Light bike+strong motor.I'm now a true believer that this theory works.I saw it with my own two eyes. Not saying a banshee can't beat them,it's just getting the right set-up.Can't seem to get the pictures small enough to post on here.Pictures have been posted on planet sand.
  12. Are these spindles for hubs or the type that bolts directly to the wheel?Sorry if the wording is wrong. What colors are available for the a-arms?Got pictures of the spindles?
  13. I'm thinking about buying some a-arms from sanddragon.Anyone ever dealt with him.Good or bad.If you read this sanddragon, nothing personal, just wondering what everyone thought.

    lil 350

Have any pictures of it going down the track?Just wondering.
  15. Yeah, they can be .I don't care who you are,if you had seen how fast those YFZ's were you'd be a believer.Looked cool too.I think the name of the group was finishline racing.I think.Hope to be getting some pictures developed today.
  16. Compared to stock, how much of a weight loss(for the banshee not me,LOL)can I expect? What type of spindles do you have? How much?Needing to lose a few pounds on the banshee. Also, are these drag only or will they hold up under normal riding conditions.I know no jumping, just if I run over a small bump or whoop will they hold up?Thanks.
  17. We just got back last night. If you like drag racing, then you'll like it.They kept the track smooth. It's sand.Better bring at least some type of haulers.lesser tires won't do you much good. They have plenty of competition for ya.There actually wasn't alot of quads, maybe 40,but they ain't play'n.Several had drag frames. The YFZ's on drag frames were(I hate to say it,LOL)awesome.I didn't have a chance against the really fast ones. The classes were only a 2-stroke and a 4-stroke class.Pretty much a run what ya brung race. There was maybe 20 in my class.I was probably ranked #2 or #3.That's from the slowest.Really, they had alot of very fast quads.Kinda felt like I took a knife to a gun fight.Still,I had a good time.To let you know how fast those 4-strokes were.At the end of all the racing they put the fastest 2-stroke against the fastest 4-stroke.The 4-stroke(drag frame YFZ) got to the finish line first.I couldn't believe it.t's definitely time to rethink my strategy for a faster banshee. The banshee is going on a diet.I know,I need to also, and need more power. You guys need to think about going next year.
  18. I'd go ahead and get the T-5's.They are an awesome pipe for a stock 350 and "IF" you decide to go farther with the mods, you won't have to sell them for different pipes. They really are a good pipe. The Toomey needle are a good buy to.Just to let you know. The jetting they suggest(for where I live) is too lean if you remove the lid or airbox.
  19. The T-5 is better in my opinion, but I'm more into racing than casual riding.I have shearers on my banshee.T-5's on my wife's banshee. She really likes them.
  20. To me it might still be lean.Have you checked the plug?
  21. I hope I'm not wasting your time, but I'm just curious what they look like. What do you mean by cut?I'm not wanting to buy them, just curious.
  22. I have a friend that once run from the cops.He didn't know it then, but the cop was one of his friends. He was going really fast on his' banshee when a car pulled out in front of him.He done his version of a superman.Really.He's fortunate he wasn't killed.Think about that the next time the cops show up.
  23. They look to me like gecko's big brother. The gecko's are extremely tough.A friend of mine was showing out and was doing a burnout on pavement.I know it wasn't a great thing to do,but everybody loved the show.
  24. The T-5's are a good pipe.At one time I had them on my banshee, and my wife has them on her banshee.Good for drag racing and still rideable. My wife likes them. They do a good job when combined with porting too.I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  25. I second that.I once beat a guy that had a banshee with a drag frame and out of frame pipes. It looked fast sitting there, but not when I beat him. Then again maybe he was flying when I passed him.LOL!
