  1. Ok, I just got my knockoff fullbores today. Not bad for the price. He has an accurate description on the item. You will have to do some work in order for them to look real nice. If you dont have a hook-up in a bodyshop, you should probably just buy the Fullbores. I paid $175.00 shipped and I think Fullbores are around $275-300. You will probably pay the difference for body work if you cant get the hook-up.
  2. SHIT!!! I know I have that somewhere. I looked and I can find sept, oct, dec, but I cant find nov. If I come across it I will let you know. Do you know what is on the cover? Hey, I just checked on the Hotrod website and they dont even list a November 2005 issue in the back issues. WTF??? Is there no Nov. 2005 issue?
  3. I should have it. I will check when I get home.
  4. Got an airbox w/ k&n and proflow if interested. $50 shipped??? Sorry, didnt meen to quote on that! Got a set of headlights also. The plug that plugs into the stock harness is gone but you could just bypass the plug. Good headlights. A friend bought some Trail Techs and needed the plugs for them. $20???
  5. Fullbore looks the best in my opinion, but a little pricey. I just bought the knockoff fiberglass off of ebay for $175 shipped. Should be here Thursday. I will let you know what they look like.
  6. 2001 Banshee for sale. White fenders with black tank shroud and radiator shroud. This thing is bone stock except for a k&n filter. Comes with new Hauler 9 paddle tires. The bike has only 5 hrs of ride time on it. I went and looked at it last night and this thing is showroom quality. It does not have a scratch on it. Original tires with tits still on them. The guy bought it new in 2001 for his wife. She rode it once and didnt like it. They are getting a divorce, so he is trying to sell it. Its only been on the sand one time. I would call this thing brand new. You could wash it and put it on the showroom floor and nobody could tell the difference. He is asking $3500 for it. If you want a basically new Banshee, this is your bike. PM me if interested.
  7. I dont have a coolant tank on my shee and I havnt had a problem yet. Hasnt overheated or anything.
  8. I have bought two Trans Ams off of Ebay and had them shipped to me. The first one I bought out of Redondo Beach, California and it cost me $600 to have it shipped to Topeka, Kansas. The second one I bought out of Portland, Oregon and it cost me $700 to have it shipped to Topeka, Kansas. I used a company named Trusty Transport and they did a real good job. They will give you a free quote online if you get on their website. Gas prices are quite a bit higher now so it may be more expensive. I would just pull it with the Uhaul. It would be easier and cheaper. Good luck!
  9. I dont know where you have priced a new frame, but the ones I've priced are more in the $700.00 area.
  10. I wouldnt buy a "new" one. I would see if anyone on HQ has one posted for sale or check ebay for a used one. There was one listed on ebay a couple of days ago that was brand new - dont know if its still on there or not. Good luck!
  11. I thought this was already resolved?!?! Jesus Christ - adhesive side down next time!! Seriously though, Jeff wouldnt be so backed up right now if he didnt have that back injury that he has been fighting for a while. If your motor was damaged, I am sure Jeff would have taken care of it. No sense in bitching if nothing was wrong. The fact that he works out of his shop (20ft from his house) isnt always a good thing. Alot of the time he works all day, goes in for supper, and then comes back out to the shop only to go back in when his kids are walking out the door for school the next day. Give your business a few years and then get back on here and be all cheery! Its not all good times. Trust me though, you will love your motor.
  12. The best subs I have ever had were called American Bass. Ya, I know the name sounds corny, but Ive had JL, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, and a few others. These were the best out of all of them. I had a Kicker KX1200.1 running two 12's and it would bounce the windshield wipers off of my windshield (also cracked my windshield 4"). Check em out, they are on the net.
  13. Most of the time when that happens it is caused by pulling in the clutch and holding it in (like when going down a big hill). It usually only happens when you're going fast. My friend did it last year at Sand Mountain. He was coming down from the top and just pulled the clutch in and coasted down instead of going down the hill in gear and POP the clutch engaged and that was all she wrote. Thats a hard lesson to learn.
  14. Good communication - great product. Thanks
  15. If its not bent too bad you can do it the redneck way!! Get a come along and chain the rear of your bike to one tree and then hook the come along to the part of the frame that is bent and then to another tree. SLOWLY pull it back into shape. Make sure you have your gas tank and plastic handy so you can test fit everything until its right. That is what a friend of mine did and it worked perfect. Good luck
  16. Jeff at FAST (FASTOYS) can get you a swinger any length you want and I dont think you can beat the price. You may even ask him if he has a rear shock for sale. I think he might have one with an Eibach spring on it. Shoot him a PM.
  17. If all I did was drag race, I would keep them. Im just afraid I am goind to scratch them.
  18. Ya, its a friend of mine. He can do probably just about anything. If you need someone to paint for you, I can give you his number.
  19. ESR makes an inline temp gauge that you splice into radiator hose. Its pretty trick. I think it comes in three different colors. Im not sure on price though. PM Jeff at FAST (FASTOYS). I think he has them in stock.
  20. Thanks Speedie. I tried forever to get those on there and couldnt figure it out.
