  1. thanks everybody, going to go tomorrow to give her a try
  2. thanks, I will give it a shot, The reason I asked is I have never done anything with Keihin Carbs before and dont quite understand the jetting and jet sizing
  3. Just looking for a place to start, I dont know enough about the motor yet to know where to begin, just lookin for info so I am not doing an immediate rebuild due to burn down.
  4. The new setup is, Cheetah cub with mild port work 68 x 54 mm, i think it is a 392cc. I have an RK tech head with 19 cc domes. I am running v-force 2 reeds and 35 mm keihins with separate K&Ns. I have a k&T adjustable timing plate and lightened flywheel. I am running CPI small bore inframe pipes. I know somebody on here has this setup, all I can seem to find is info on a 4mil. Just need some info on a good place to start for Jetting and timing. I mostly run at 5000 ft elevation. I have also considered running about a 50/50 mx to get about a 100 octane if needed, Let me know what u guys think or any other questions.
  5. They seem a little high on the parts and mods for somebody not well heard of.
  6. I think my buddy has one, I will ask if he wants to sell it.
  7. I like it. I just did the same to mine. Do you have any trouble with the front tires catching when you are in sand and turning moderately sharp?
  8. You can buy a whole set on e-bay for 24.95, all gaskets. The dealer here wanted 47 and the other one wanted 54 for a whole gasked kit. Its not worth having to drain fluids and redo everything again for the price of gaskets!!
  9. we made one out of aluminun and used two springs to hold it on. I used it for one ride and took it off.(four years ago) Now just the K&Ns, no supports and No leaks, cracks, problems.(yet)
  10. I run at 5000 feet and I have a 310 main in it, with K&Ns and t-5s. Just upgraded to 35 pwks and CPI inframes, that will be fun to figure out again.
  11. Basically what you are trying to do is get your spark plug electrodes lined up equally in different cylinders. By doing this it is supposed to give a more consistent burn across all cylinders. As stated above though, with the type of head used by a banshee it is not as critical. I did it on a Rice Rocket Civic owned by my buddy with Nos on it. Stock it ran no different. With the nos it seemed to pull harder. But maybe I just knocked some crap loose in it. I wouldn"t waste your time on a 2 stroke doing it.
  12. I need a stock or modified banshee transmission. Anybody has one let me know!
  13. Kim Muncmore is the K in K&T. They do good work and are reasonable and have good turnaround times.
  14. Dunes mostly, but I do drag at the dunes pretty often.
  15. I am looking for a 4 mil crank so I can finish my cub setup. Anybody have one or could point me to a reputable place to buy one let me know.
