  1. Yup, if you built a sick bike with all the best parts. Had it tuned on a dyno. The bike was never ridden other wise. You would lose money on the deal. But, if you did that with a car you would probably make money.
  2. I never said i was an expert. Actually next to my name it says it says amatuer. There is no need to be a dick. I was just trying to help. I put heavy 6 ply tires on my bike and noticed a loss in performance. I'm sure there is a good 2 ply that grips just as good. Just tryen to pass that info along. And about racing, look next to my name. You think your bike has a chance? Who's the amatuer now?
  3. Chrome won't get you home, but it sure as hell will get you laid. In other words it doesn't help performance, but the girls seem to like it.
  4. Inthemail, i don't know what you said, but it makes me laugh when i read it out loud.
  5. You will save money by having them ported why its already apart. If you wait till you get pipes then you will have to do another top end when you take it apart to get ported. The porting isn't mush different from pipe to pipe unless you are making a switch from say fmf to shear oof's.
  6. You shouldn't reuse o-rings. I think its only $20 for an o-ring kit.
  7. I just switched from inframe cpi's to oof shears. I haven't run the oof yet, but the chrome is shitty. All around the weld didn't stick. For the money i payed i was pissed. I hope they atleast run good.
  8. I would go with vforce reeds and a good set of in frame drag pipes. If you have more money get the biggers carbs intake boots and pod filter with outer wears. Then get a longer swingarm. Tires are very important too. By the time you finish this you will probably need a rebuild. Then go big. stroker, cubs, drag ported, lockup clutch, dyna ignition and an override tranny. Along the way you can get rid of all the extra weight on her. By the time you buy all that you are better off buying a nice bike in the for sale section of this site. You would save atleast 50%.
  9. Looks stock to me
  10. Don't get those kits of off ebay. They look cheap and dangerous. I would try the 300 AND R6 setup. You can always have them beefed up and keep the same ride height.
  11. The bike looks good. The rear sitting too high is an easy fix. I can't help but notice those tires. The fronts are good, a little bald, but the rears look like they should be on a 4x4. The weight of those things kills your performance. Unless you are mudding i would go with a some lighter tires. You will see a huge difference in performance.
  12. I would think it would look good in black. post a pic, maybe somone will trade. I really don't like chrome, i would rather have black.
  13. That is a cool bike
  14. I would get some toomeys, I tike the t 5's over the t 6's.
  15. My first purchase would be vforce reeds. You will see a huge difference over those boyeseens. Then call jeff and have him port your juggs. Don't do a play port, go with the dune port. Make sure you have some meat on them tires cause you'll need all the grip you can get. After that my next mod would be carbs. good luck
  16. I would never buy a new one when people are selling banshee's with their kids college funds dumped in to it for under 5 grand. I hate seeing people sell these bikes for too little. I have a ton of money in mine, and i will never sell because i won't get enough for it. I joke with my girl about putting a piece of glass on top of it and making it a cool dinning room table.
  17. I have a gforce and before i converted to a drag quad i beat the hell out of it. I would jump every hill in sight. Its a lot cheaper too.
  18. I have a rs and had no problems. I would only buy from them. Fuck the french
  19. Do your self a favor and go with the stroker. Make sure its trued and welded. Get your cylinders bored and ported. Like everyone said call jeff. I just had him build my motor. He is fair and very helpful.
  20. I agree, the yfz 450 front end sucks. plus, it takes a lot to make it fit right. You would be better off rebuilding and upgrading your stock setup, or buying a works setup.
  21. you may aswell get it ported. You will be so much happier when its done. Call Jeff at fast racing.
  22. Why buy stock carbs, you should return them and go bigger. You might even save money, and get better performance. I would never replace a stock part with another stock part. Just my 2 cents.
  23. It wouldn't be a waste of time to pull your stator cover and check everything in there. Make sure nothing came loose and everything is as it should be. Do you have good spark?
  24. I agree, talk to a builder. How much do you want to spend? What mods do you already have? That will help answere what you should do. Also, what kind of riding do you do? Suspension and tires might help more then you think.
