  1. i have a bent upper A-arm on the right side. the bend is on the flange that hooks onto the ball joint. can i bend this back with the help of a little heat? will it hold after i do this?
  2. i need advise on a carb choice. the air fuel adjustment screw hole stripped out of my stock right carb so i was going to just go bigger. i have found a couple of carb sets on ebay and need to know which to purchase. there are a set of factory 26mm carbs that include two k+n filters, billit intakes and they have been ported and polished. they are buy it now at 150. then i found a set of 28mm flatsides with a starting bid of 140. they are both ending today. what do i do???????? also, would the flatsides accept my twist throttle cable that is on my wheeler. the cable fits my stock capped carbs... thanx for your help and post!!!!!!!! -wiggans50cal
  3. i have a 98 banshee for sale, fresh weisico .20 over pistons and rings, hotrod crank and rods. full dynoport exhaust, new razr front tires, new v-force reeds+cages, new plugs, new vitos twist throttle, clutch cable, new brakes, tor eliminator kit, new DID chain, new JT sprocket on rear, new front sprocket, all these mods are fresh and the rebuild has about 1 hour of riding time on it. this is a great running banshee and you have my word it runs great, plastic has one crack behind the seet that is about an inch long from the grab bar hitting it. other than that everything is sound on this wheeler. give me a call at 660-676-8700. my name is daniel wiggans, im asking 2750 for this banshee, it is well worth it, you wont find one this cheap that is this mechainically sound. thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!! PS, its white in color with blue radiator and tank cover.
  4. dont buy a stator right off. start cheap. go for the cleaning first, make sure you remove the main jets completely, clean them up, put a fuel filter on it, then try a coil. try these things, get back with us. dont blow your money on the expensive stuff first. probably one of these two
  5. nah man, spark is probably good. i just had this same exact issue. so random, so frustrating!!! i know it sounds simple but clean your carbs, run some gas out of your tank into a bowl and inspect it for black chunks. i had this same issue tho and it ended up there was crap stuck clear up in the main jet on the left carb. ran fine on low and mid rpm, but you really put the hammer down and it would bog, sometimes die. that was my deal anyways. hope this helps. i would do that THEN ignition coil. 20 bucks on ebay, or send me 30 and ill ship you one.
  6. what size is a good size of jet to go to with factory carbs?
  7. because i got these stock carbs for 20 bucks. both carbs. i dont see how i lost on that deal, i can re-sell them for 40 easily, and then sell mine too if i end up going bigger. stock is 26 mm i believe, what is a good size to go to without haveing to change a lot of other things, besides boots? i just got these cuz they would have different jets in them and that would tell me if thats the problem by simply putting them in and taking mine out. just cheap. thanks for your post!!! have a good day.
  8. i have irridium plugs, cant be gapped. i know that aftermarket jets dont tell you anything, but i just dont know what size they are, i will have to dig into them, my question is that why it just started doing it one day???? i rode it for a couple months and then it just happend. im with you thogh, im leaning towards a jet issue. ur assistance is highly appreciated. thanks again!!!!!!!!!!
  9. new plugs, k&n air filter, new weisico 20 over pistons and rings, new delta v-force reeds, dynoport full exhaust, jets are after market but dont know what size. the guy before me did this. lately ive been riding in 40-70 degrees, im about 275 in weight. the carbs are factory also, ive got an ignition coil and new factory carbs on the way, going to see if either one of those change anything. kinda thinking its a main jet issue, not for sure though. if you take the air box lid off it makes it way worse. fyi. thanks so much, your time is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
  10. ok, i didnt know about that one, ill check it out as soon as i get home. i ordered new carbs and new ignition coil. ill run this check before i install anything, thought it might be a main jet issue. thank you so much for your advice.
  11. also, i have a new ignition coil comeing, was this a wise choice to try that??? thanks for your input, i truely appreciate it!!!!!!
  12. i dont have a filter on my wheeler, i will try the cap idea, thanks a million
  13. i replaced the plugs, still does the same exact thing. however, i took the air box lid off and it magnified the effect, it was way worse, bogged at lower rpm and +. i have a K&N filter on it, good filter but i dont know whats going on. do you think the jets?
  14. ok, i hope someone would be kind enough to help me, ive been working on my banshee on and off for a month now and cant find the prob. here is whats going on with it. it runs fine especially in first and second but you get up to third + and it boggs terrible at 3/4 + throttle. but you let out of it and it will take off pulling hard again, you give it a tad more throttle and it will bog. i started out with plugs of course, then v-force reeds, then i removed the top end, inspected the weisico pistons, they look new, replaced the rings, inspected cylinder walls, they look good also since its been bored 20 over. i just bought an ignition coil, could it be that? could it be water in the stator cover? or do i have a jet problem?????? please help, the idiots at the yamaha honda place just keep insisting that i trade it for a new one and WILL NOT help me. thank you guys so much, this is a great site!!!!!!! (NOTE) if you rap it to an extremely high rpm in first and second you CAN feel it cutting out, but it does it under a load, sixth gear is almost useless after 3/4 throttle. thanx again
