  1. If or when i get my next banshee i will definitly have the single carb setup. Its much easier on the thumb and you get great throttle responce. I think its a good setup for trails and just playen around.
  2. powerwash it and use plastic renew.
  3. If you can't down shift, then how is it a duneable tranny?
  4. Sell your pipes, buy some cpi's or shears. Get a good aggressive duneport. If you don't go through the wet stuff get some pod filters and outer wears. Advance your timing. get paddles for the sand. Do all that and see how you like it. Should be a LOT faster. If you have more money the mods are endless. Just remember there is always someone faster, so build something you like and are comfortable riding.
  5. sounds like a nice bike.
  6. I agree with those mods, and i would include an agressive port job. Good tires are key to putting the power to the ground. If you have money left over a bigger set of carbs. tunning is priceless.
  7. Don't give up that easy, it will come out eventually. Keep it lubed and keep working it.
  8. Maybe its just me, but i don't understand the question.
  9. After reading the link i'm not sure if the crank comes with or you have to buy that too. Besides that you are talking about a serious motor. That is a FULL blown drag motor. I don't know if its gonna be trail rideable. To keep the front end down you are gonna have to have a BIG swingarm on that beast. By the time you get that thing built, tuned, and buy the other things you are gonna need you are talking some serious coin. There is so much more to making a banshee fast and rideable than just slapping a big motor in it. With that said I will repeat my self and say "sell your bike and buy another one that is hooked up." In the long run you will save soooooooooo much time and money. I took my bike from stock to what it now over a 9 year period and have spent a lot of money. More than i am willing to admit to. I would recommend a 421 cub, on race gas. I bet it will have more power than you can handle. In the end its your money, burn it if you want.
  10. Also, i went from boysen reeds to vforce and the difference was still huge.
  11. Do a search on pipe comparisons, but i think you will see performance gains across the board. And they sounds so much better.
  12. Thats when you break out the sledge hammer.
  13. A friend of mine had to single carb with some t-5's and it had awsome throttle responce. It was much easier on the thunb too. You barely had to touch the throttle. If i get a second banshee that will be my set up for sure.
  14. I just read your mod list and noticed you don't have reeds. I would buy the vforce reeds over the dyna ignition. You can also get more HP by changing you pipes. I like t-5's, but if you have bigger plans you way as well get some cpi or shear in frame drag pipes.
  15. They offer different gearing with the override trannys for different uses. You need to talk to your builder and figure out what will be the best for your setup and style of riding. If your not 100% drag then you might want to consider a dunable, so that you can down shift. Lockup clutches are great and if you build a big motor (500cc) your gonna need one. AN adjustable timing plate does just that, adjusts you timing. You can get a little more top or bottom end with adjustments. If you really plan on a complete rebuild with all high performance parts at one time i would recommend buying a new bike off here. You can get something crazy fast for a little over 5 grand. The best way to help you is if you post you current mods and even a pic of what your working with. And what you plan on doing.
  16. Kinda scary, but really cool at the same time
  17. The alba's are kinda played out, but i still think they look the best.
  18. Damn, all i said was i don't heat mine. I like how it hooks. I never got nasty with you guys, no need to be a dick. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same track cause i've been there a bunch and there are only two lanes. Englishtown race way park. I've always run the 1/4, so maybe your right. "Go play with dolls" what an ass hole thing to say. People have really changed on this site. Everyone used to be cool. Now everyone wants to be a computer tough guy. And i'm definitly not your man. sounds like some gay shit to me.
  19. I would get v force reeds. I don't understand why you wanna wait till you do the top end to buy them. They are a great mod.
  20. I don't heat my tires. I don't see the need to waste the tire. I hook great. At e town the 1/8 mile track is the same as the 1/4 mile track, so you have even more room to slow down.
  21. Call east coast atv, they did mine.
  22. That does look nice.
  23. I'd buy the KTM first then the ltr 450 second.
  24. A non running banshee goes for under a grand by me. My friends have paid 3 or 4 hundred for some. I vote fix it. Drop a 4mill stroker in it, get it ported, and you got a sick banshee.
