Look into Otterbox. They are pricey...but they are the best protection you can buy. I have a Body Glove for my curve 8330. It's got a THICK plastic cover for the screen and it's a textured rubberized coating for the case. It's damn tough. They're about 20 on ebay or 30 in the store. I've been reading up on the droid. It's speed and availability of apps is very impressive. Of course it's an IPhone competitor, for a long time it was the number 1 selling phone... Obviously, each year companies expand their coverage. But in the past I've had Nextel, ATT (Cingular then) and sprint. Verizon by far has the best coverage for me.... They're hyping the shit out of the droid. Go to a store and put your hands on one and see what you think.

I use Crisco without trans fat. Works like a charm...and when I crack open the dipstick to check the fluid it's like a popcorn and french fry factory. In all seriousness...any oil will work. If you're running a drag bike with an override, you should be using ATF Type F and change it every or every other race.

With a lid on and hole drilled in it...I think you're closer to your jetting than people are giving you credit for. We run 270 to 290 here with a stock air box, no lid. Make sure ALL of the TORS components are removed and disconnected. Check all electrical first. It has no throttle response...he's not on the main yet. I think you're going to find one of two things, electrical or an air leak.

That gear might be an off-season purchase for me... Looks good!

Several manufacturers make billet intakes with the crossover tube built into them. They tend to space them out a bit more...might want to try that. Cleaner look, too!

Eventually, in Lectrons anyways, the bowls get cloudy, but they're not as transparent as these are in the first place, they're like a frosted clear. Enough to see the fuel level, but nothing like these... You may have to bend the clutch arm down just a hair or take a grinder to the bottom of one of the float bowls. Reed Spacers are cheap, just get the extra gaskets needed and use blue loctite on the bolts to tighten them down.

There are easily 10 guys alone on this forum that will without a doubt tell you that you couldn't be further from the truth. I've got a little 21mm OKO on my 50cc pit bike. They're just like Keihins. I've never seen clear bowls like that except on Lectrons...I gotta admit, that's pretty cool.

Quite honestly, no. You don't have the motor to go 100MPH. As said, you can gear a bike to potentially do 120...but without the motor, it's not going to happen. Banshees are about as aerodynamic as a cinder block...that works against you too. No BS...take off the front and rear fenders to gain 3-5 MPH...we've done it at the 1/4 mile. There is resistance, the picks have to penetrate the ice then come back out...from a rolling tire. You're putting steel through solid ice...the ice gives... You can see the rear tires I used off the to the side here. To be honest, after my bike went up the back of my buddie's leg on a pass and it looks like he got bit by a shark...I like to go and watch. That was a rough day... We've got a lot of guys that go on the ice to drag here, it takes a lot more motor and gear to hit 100MPH...

It depends on who you listen to on the RDZ/Shearer pipe story. Either way, I've run Shearer's pipe the last three years. They do run great. I've also split the seam on the same pipe three years in a row. This last time I had a professional weld them with stainless welding rod. These pipes run great on my bike, no doubt. But when they're in a box, from MI to California to get re-welded, rechromed and mailed back, they don't run too well. My next set of pipes will be White Knuckle or possibly even CPI.

You can almost buy it new for that. In a premium market...he MIGHT get that. In today's market...it won't sell unless it set a record at a nationally known race with a good attendance. Cylinders are 875 new. Call it average of 400 for a good port. Head is 175 new, 250 with domes. Hardly anyone buys carbs new. Those are about 350 to 400. You can get those intakes new off ebay for 100 bucks, and VForce 3 reed cages for around 200 to 225. So on the very high end of all of that...2200 ish. It's all used. Take off 25%. That's around 1650ish. This market sucks...and people are giving stuff away. You can buy a complete 10 mil DM with dyno time only (BIG MOTOR) for 6500. That's cases, override, clutch, cylinder, head...etc. from one of the best builders in the world (A&S Racing). You can't sell just a cylinder, head, intakes, reeds and carbs for roughly a 1/3 of that.

What exactly is he tryign to sell you, you lost me. If he's selling you cylinder, head, domes, intakes w/reeds and alky setup mikuni carbs used you're looking at 1000 to 1400 for a package deal. The cylinder on it's own is 700 to 900 used, depending on the porting, nikasil condition (should be like new) Head and domes 150, again, in good shape. Intakes and reeds, 100. Alky Mikuni carbs with billet bowls, 250 to 400. If you don't know what drag parts are worth...than why say anything?

Gunk and a power washer. Get a wire brush for the real stubborn parts.
