  1. He he...or 1.79 or 1.89 at Pep Boys... To each is own...I just wasn't impressed with them in my cub at all!! For 5 bucks, I guess if it's a mental advantage...
  2. Extra 2 bucks over a BR8ES?
  3. Sorry...I disagree. I had a 421 cub last year, going bigger now. It was in perfect tune....and there wasn't a lick of difference. And I bought two of the Irridiums just to see...waste of money in my opinion. And this was with a Nology Coil and Hotwires, and a Dyna Ignition. If that setup can't take advantage of a good spark plug, I don't know what can!!!
  4. If you can't find one, my buddy has a 98 for WAY cheaper than that in MI. Shipping would probably be a bit pricey...but, if you can't find one.... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry633004
  5. Ha ha ha ha...Sorry (I think) I didn't see this till now. If you're able to find a banshee for 1600 this clean, with this low of hours and done right, please let ME know, I'll buy two of them. Sorry...but not even close.
  6. BR8ES are what you need to run all day long. You're not doing anything for yourself by running 9s...unless that bike is on alky. I'm going to assume you have pipes and properly jetted carbs (good luck at that big of altitude changes) along with the other bolt on mods. Next is porting on your cylinder. BigRed350X rides in Wyoming I think, and he's high as a mofo. (Elevation, that is...) He can probably chime in and give more advice on how to combat the high elevation performance robbing blues.... Take it away, J...
  7. I'm not saying you can't shift, but....clutch pull will be VERY tough...you're basically fighting the springs AND the weights of the plate...which is why you put in on in the first place. It is my opinion that a lockup and dunable override should go hand in hand. That way, you can bang gears with NO clutch at high RPMs, or...drive it like a normal tranny. With a cub, you gotta do something. I had a FAST Clutch and 6HD springs in mine, stock clutch stock tranny...and it shifted like absolute poop. You're putting double to triple the HP that tranny was designed to handle from the factory...somethin's gotta give.
  8. I know greyhound will ship a frame, I think a whole bike is too big. I had a snowmobile tunnel shipped to me for a buddy (computer illiterate) and it was damn near too big...
  9. I've got a few friends of friends that have 100 acres, 200 acres, etc. But...I've got a drag quad, so...I pretty much will be hanging at Clarsksville and Silver Lake with that bike. I'm picking up a 400EX for playing around/trails and a backup bike this Friday... Put some studs in it and take it out to Lake St. Clair...we'll all be out there this Saturday I think. I hear ya on the trails. You used to be able to ride at Adams and M59, cops. Port Huron past the old Strip mall, shut down. Mounds is fun on a bike with all the whoops...but, even that gets old. One day if I ever get a big ol 4X4 ute quad, I'll go back to the mounds....not for me right now! I live in St. Clair Shores...so...we're probably pretty close to another. If you like to trail ride, the northern Michigan and UP trails are hard to beat, period. Long haul though.... St. Helen is real good too. Mio has some ok hills, Bull Gap is fun, but...whooped out.

  11. Wow...two post, no firm pricing, just getting interests, and once again captain dipshit is running his mouth. When you post stuff for sale, either name your price or DON'T fucking post it. Put it on ebay if you want to generate interest with no pricing... When I posted my roller, I was gauging interest, but I still LISTED A PRICE ass clown. Pedal your shit somewhere else.... You can count on me to bust your balls and call you out like the jerk off you are every time to try to sell a thing here...so people can see what kind of person they're dealing with.
  12. **SOLD to minkia38, dropping off today** Thanks for all the inquiries...
  13. Always good to deal with, quick communication and quick payment. The kinda guy that will ship you parts before his payment arrives on a trust basis. I gave him a stock swinger for the price of shipping, mainly because I know he'd do the same for me....
  14. I would start with a 52, and work your way down. Will probably end up between a 45 to 52...
  15. I can tell you to run a castor based two stroke oil, Maxima 927 or Klotz Benoil. It mixes better with and stays mixed longer with alky. Not a whole lot of help here on Lectron setups....they do run pretty good though. You might want to call Packard Racing, they use Lec's a lot, or search for help on Planet Sand.com. Ton of alky's using Lectrons there....
  16. Ditto here....badass will atest. It's a lot of fun...but slowing down...waiting to shift, etc., is no fun!! I had 5 or 6 people ride my bike at the track and dunes, and they all said the same thing, how do you shift this thing? My answer, often, I don't....
  17. Yeah...1 link at most, it's alot shorter than you think it'll be. Just be careful and don't overtighten it.... Also, replace the sprockets too, in a matched set. Steel sprockets are the only way to go on a banshee!
  18. Very good point Jbooker. Never assume. Get a good quality tester, a complete tester kit from Craftsman runs 60 bucks. Check it... Report back what you find, but...all I have around here is 110 octane too. If you're at or near 180 PSI or so, yeah, 110 is a good idea. I ran 110 in my 185PSI cub motor with a lot of timing, no issues.
  19. Or spelling them for that matter.... Stu, I think you need some medical help or medication. You get awfully testy anytime someone takes a quick shot at you, jokingly and in fun, and right away get defensive. We're just playing around with you and making light of what you said. Yeah, we know what you meant, and we know you misspelled the word... You typed me in a PM that you're a Christian, it's against your nature to hold a grudge, etc. RELAX...we're just poking fun at your expense, no need to jump off the handle... And...once again, the point. You came here asking for advice, the majority of the people here advised you it's a good idea to get it welded, stock, near stock or not, and you're just gonna let it ride anyways....under the assumption that it won't do any "real damage"... You're a self proclaimed car guy, Mustangs If I remember. Have you had a crank fail on you in a car? Was it pretty? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I'm trying to a. make light of the situation and b. point out why and what you came here for, but are ignoring what most of us have recommended. It's obviously always your choice and money no matter what, but I'm confused why you'd come to ask advice here, get pretty consistent advice on what to do, and then just ignore it anyways.

    ice drag

I'll post up some pics when I get a few minutes to take 'em.... Yeah, I got to put them in the corner of the garage, because you know I'm snagging clothes or putting a hole in my leg if I bump into them....LOL...
  21. I'm not that smart....there is a good chance I just didn't read it or understand it well.... No big deal...
  22. Finally out of the closet, Stu? Ha...J/K....that was way too easy. :yelrotflmao: I would do it because you have 20cc domes and a trail port, that's just me. A piece of mind can be priceless...
  23. YOu might regret that, since it's going to be harder to pull the clutch when the RPMS are up there. Temps should be fine, use engine ice....but, you already know it's not a trail machine...

Actually...these are the nasties in my tires. http://www.wiem.com/catalog/details_produc...62494&cat=3
  25. The banshee is the WRONG bike for the mounds...let me tell you. I'll never go back there. Get some pipes and jet that bike, WORLD of difference right there...after you gear it. (I"M only saying that because you have stock pipes in the mud boggin picture...) Trust me, whole new bike once you pipe and jet it. No bike responds like a banshee when it comes to pipes because of how restrictive the stockers are!!
