Not true, Ben...you can swap 'em. See if a good welder can patch it up before you spend coin on a new one...
-
Steel Sprockets...they last longer. regina makes a nice chain, DID, ERT, etc. Sidewinder makes a good chain, but several high HP big bikes break them pretty easily...from what I've read. I think mine is a std. RK chain. If you're gonna ride in mud or water, you want an X or O Ring chain...if you're just gonna dune it, non-Oring all the way IMO.

He he... Just playin with ya Scotty...you and I are sun and moon in comparison to what we do with our Shees... However, I bet we'd both like to go for a ride on the other's bike...though...

A single carb IS a choke tube....LOL....

Dan...bring the cub to the race this weekend, and think of a price...I'd like to see what they look like first hand.

Been thinking the same thing.... 10 a hole...till she goes boom...
-
Same thing I keep saying...but, it's easier (albeit more expensive) to build a bigger motor...LOL...
-
Yeah...last time I was there I ran a few 4.3s...but my 60's were consistent as were my reaction times for what I do at Bobs... All you have to do is look at RT and 60ft to see if you're beam jumping, LOW 60s and high RTs are a clear indicator...especially if it's WAY off from what we run at Bob's. Hey...it's all good...I'm coming out to have to some fun...and I can't wait to see the group again. What's it been, nearly a month already??? Wish I had property...I'd have a sand drag in a heart beat....and a dirt drag, just to play between the two!!! I think with the trucks/buggies that are gonna be running, the big end should dry up soon. I noticed my MPH were the same at both tracks....last time I met you out there. However, only having you and Tommy to race with kinda sucked (no offense, but you know what I mean...LOL)

I will today. Squish is perfect, compression is perfect...just wanted to let the yamabond dry to seal up the water jackets/head. Unless I blundered big time...it should rip. Compression and squish are all identical to my motor before she popped...I'll keep it on the rich side this time...though. I'm interested to see how the new pipes let it run...if anything, they sure look nice...LOL...

Yeah, albrights is definitely different...I ran a good time there....you just have to figure the lights out...it's not like Bobs. The lights are .400 instead of .500 like Bob's, and Shane...if memory serves me correctly, the reaction time is in addition to .400 (a perfect light) At Bob's, if your RT is .600, you were .100 off from a perfect light. At Albright, if your RT is .100...you were actually .500..or .100 above a perfect light of .400. Different...but it's all good. Albright seems to hook better, would you say Shane?? I ran my fastest time at Bob's last time out, but I also had Hopper's 15 paddles. I ran faster at Albright with my 14s more consistently than I have at Bob's. Looking forward to it...hoping to be packing things up and on the road shortly by this time tomorrow...

Brian...tried to PM you back...it was turned off or not allowed...check into that...will ya?

Thanks man.... I'm letting the yamabond on my head seal and dry for the night. I'm going to put water in it tomorrow...fire it...and clean up the mess I call my garage, tools EVERYWHERE... As long as it all goes well tomorrow, I'm leaving my house Friday at 9:30 or so...I plan on being there by noon or shortly thereafter...
-
I posted it up on PS...but if anyone can bring me a stock shifter and hold down bolt I'd be much obliged. I got my pro-design shortened....yeah, too short. Hell...Dan probably couldn't fit his mini me foot under it.... Let me know guys...gonna fire it up tomorrow when I get home...

They are all the same length on the clutch cover side except one... I just sealed mine up yesterday or I could've measured it up for you... M6, either 1.0 or 1.25 is the pitch...sorry....

Lately...it's been like computers... No matter what you buy, there will be something faster tomorrow...or next week. My pockets simply aren't deep enough...I just like to have some fun... I definitely didn't get into this to make any money...or I'd be more broke than I am now... -
Roughly 7% increase in power...

Yeah...Sean is building a cougar....going from an 18 mil twister... Sick I tell ya.... ***BOWLS ARE SOLD**** -
They should be ported for the 4 mil crank....timings won't be ideal if they were ported for the stocker...

10 mil mint cases and Billet Bowls for sale
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Yep...as long as I don't go too big, I think stock cases will be ok for a while...don't forget Johnny boy, sand is more forgiving than pavement... I hope E gets a welding table soon...bet your ass I'm building a chassis soon... -
Oh boy... If he trenched the cases for a 4 mil crank he wasted money... The reason you trench cases is to clear the lower rod bearing...which sticks out and will hit the bottom of the cases once you go larger than 4mil. Squish should change with dome cc's from where you're at now... Dome volume, however...will. I like to run .040 to .050 squish...and make sure you check it twice, on either side the left and right. You don't want to take measurements front to back, the piston will rock slightly in the bore and give a false reading. Yes...if there is no stroker plate, the piston edges where it meets the cylinder wall (you know what I mean) will stick up 2mm over deck height...

Please jet the bike before you ride it....you already know you need to...unless the sound you want to hear is that of it blowing up....

10 mil mint cases and Billet Bowls for sale
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Wow...you're the third person to ask me that...NO...just selling them for Sean (quadsean) on PS. He never goes to HQ or E2S, so...figure he's hooked me up in the past, will try to sell them for him on other sites with more exposure... When I go bigger, the motor is gonna end in "DM" or "teen" something.... -
The only way to check the stroke of the crank easily is get a dial caliper and stick it in the spark plug hole. From TDC to BDC should be 58mm. If it's 54mm, it's stock stroke. As said, I've never heard of machining a set of cases for a 4 mil, it's a drop in crank. 7 to 10 mil have to be trenched, anything bigger needs to be epoxied on top and bottom, then trenched.
