10 mil cub for sale (NO NOT MINE...)
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Last I read he was looking at a 14 mil cub or cheetah and trade for his 4 mil, I don't know if that panned out or not. I'll PM him a heads up...thanks!! -
OK...if you run our tracks: Change the gearing to 14/44, launch in 2nd gear, get 10 or 11 paddle extremes or 12 paddle regular haulers. 8 over arm MIGHT be too much...but, you already have it. So...get a little more paddle. I believe badassbanshee479 is selling some 11 paddle extremes...that might be perfect for that bike.

I think I have stock AND oversized boots for the airbox if you're interested. I'd be happy to measure them for you...and ship them to you for DIRT CHEAP.... -

Don't hate the playa...hate the game... -
Meat... I think you're missing the point...or didn't read the whole thing. We tried telling him go ahead and do it, however...you won't notice or see any results. He came here asking for advice...which we all freely gave based on our own experience. WE ALL said the same thing, except Texas... I understand the need to gather info and make a sound decision...but what irks me is asking a question, getting answers and pretty much ignoring those like you already made up your mind in the first place.... I tried to state my opinion backed with personal experience and facts. That wasn't good enough.... You've made a very good point as an example, and you're also right...size to weight to RPM proportionate, I don't think it would relate....in this case anyways...
-
All bolt on parts with some porting? Is your swingarm stock length, and how much do you weigh? Do you run stock gearing?

Posting up for a computer retarded buddy...for sale on PS too. 10 mill cub 68 mm bore, crank, head(stock oring'd), piston's, reed's(v-force 2)intake's (39mm).$2000-shipped. PM Me for info if interested.

Don't let the fact that it rides/rests on springs until a certain RPM locks it against the pressure plate fool you either....

People use them for alky burning drag motors... When you burn alky in your bike you use twice as much fuel as you would gas. Plus, you're generally at WOT (sucking the fuel down)... People use a combination of things to get more fuel into the carbs....bigger bowls, remove a float, better flowing fuel valves...etc.

List of things to buy with questions
dajogejr replied to badbrad's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hey Dave..I've been meaning to reply to your post for a few days now, finally getting around to it. First off, I've always appreciated your help and insight, you are a true asset to our site and sport. Thank you... Now...my question... I've alway had a problem getting aftermarket heads to seal. Do you have any plans, in the near future or Horizon...for a one piece shell and removable domes. Less Orings, more rigid construction and better clamping force would be my best guess for a new design. Dave, I have no idea how much time, energy and $$ it would take to redo or redesign something like this...just thought I'd throw that out there for discussion... -

My cases are powdercoated, and I've dumped plenty of meth on them, via removing the carbs or even using the quick disconnect to purge, my cases still look shiny and fine (once I wipe the dust away...) and my PC is a year old now... Anywho... I run my radiator overflow down the frame with zip ties, a few inches below the frame... -
Dave...I can tell you exactly where Turbo's comments came from. Read all you want...it's old news... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=84706&st=0 I don't know it all, far from it....but I don't forget much at all...old or new.

I thought you were reinvesting into your rubber butt plug company, something about a little R&D facility....

No problem. It really is a second family...this will be my third year hitting the tracks. Any thing you want/need...it's there. Couple ounces of oil, set of spark plugs, hose clamp...you name it. We all come together. Myself, badassbanshee479, fouledout420, BansheeDan, blewbyu, 87sheerips and quite a few others from this site hit the tracks. Even more from Planet Sand... (I know I'm missing a few guys...but it's all good) We've all borrowed each other stuff and borrowed from each other at any given day.... There is occasionally some camp racing, keyboard racing and BS...but I promise it's all in fun.... I guarantee the MI boys will chime in any time now and say the same....

Here's albright shores... http://www.albrightshores.com/

www.bobsfamilyraceway.com is for Clarskville. He doesn't have the 08 calendar updated yet, last I checked. We also rent the track out from time to time. Last two years in a row it was 240.00 for 4 hours...so, 60 an hour.... On days we rent the track for a Test and Tune, we usually ride 3 hours, then setup some type of gamblers race for like 10 bucks or 20 buck buy in....it's a lot of fun. Usually, 10 to 25 people show up, you get plenty of runs in...and just have fun. I'm looking for a website or info on Albright shores.....
-
In about 2.5 hours you could be in Clarksville, MI. It's a 300ft sand drag. We hit that twice a month or so. In about the same time, you could hit albright shores up near pinconning, MI... Same thing, but we don't hit that track quite as often. Little Sandy Raceway is in Kentucky... I think it's at or near Grayson. How ever, I've never been there. My friends that have say it's a total blast to ride there. If you're looking for street racing only, sorry...can't help ya there man!! According to my map, Bedford PA (BBDR) is 5.5 hours away from you, and that's a dirt track...if that matters.... Most of the tracks we ride are bracket racing, so you're racing yourself and your own consistency.... However, if you were to race the bikes we ride with at our tracks with your bike, not to be a jerk...but you'd lose pretty badly heads up racing. But I'm talking about lowered, stretched out alky burning bikes with BIG motors....in a heads up race. There are usually a few near stockers with bolt ons, a few 4 strokes, etc... Fast or slow, win or lose, you'll have fun...and meet new people that share the same passion for the sport as you. It's worth a trip. Word of warning....we've had a few people get bit by the mod bug...and once you get bit, it's a never ending, expensive disease with no cure in sight....just expensive mods and toys from there on out.... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

I assume you buy Keihin jets for them...how do they run, jet number-wise, compared to a genuine PWK? -
Wheelie bar, new pistons, porting and new lower end seals.... That's about it... If I can sell my rolling chassis for a fair price, then a drag frame as well...any leftover money will go towards getting more work done on my backpiece.

Wow....thanks from us puffer fish... We appreciate your co-signing....in the very next post!!!

There is a black wire, white stripe coming out of my harness. I attached my tether to that and a frame ground. Works perfect for me...

While I'm not disagreeing banshees have more potential...the reason you see more is because the zilla was made for what, 4 years I think, and the banshee has been made for over 20...and still going, still available in other countries for purchase new...and it had lineal ancestry further back than that from bikes (RD/RZ..etc.) IF the zillas had a run as long as the shee, I have a feeling you'd see more than you do now....They're not bad bikes, just some reliability problems in the wrong hands!
