Good point...theshee. I just went back and read a few, from adding a turbo or supercharger, to balancing the crank... Then again, he does seem to think all the mods he has would cost 30K....

Did you contact him to let him know?

10 mil cub for sale (NO NOT MINE...)
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Already working on a set for you.... -
Correctamundo... Magic has a pretty good price on a complete top end kit, bearings, seals....etc.
-
Interesting.... I never paid attention to the sharp/dull....and it's lasted 3 years of abuse, still looks pretty good too.
-
I would replace both, pin and bearing each fresh top end. Do you have to? Nope...but to be 100% honest, it's cheap insurance...and you're gonna have it apart any way, so...not like it's extra labor.

I saw one tiny pic on Myspace (sorry...I hate that site...) Why don't you upload one to imageshack.us and copy/paste the link to it here....

18 mil TWISTER BILLET Cases, Turn Key
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
That motor is 600 or 700 plus cc's.... You can build them into 1200 and 1300cc twins... Just open your pocketbook up.... -
Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. For one...the cylinder has drag porting timings, and because of the open port work...they don't produce as much compression as say a stock cylinder. Now...can you increase that with domes? Sure....but the same could be said about stockers.. And two...these are high end, high HP cylinders. You can take a Corvette, put truck tires on it, lift it...and call it "off road" capable...but you'd be missing the point of what it is designed to do. I fully understand and agree...you can get more bottom and mid out of cubs just like you can with stockers by more restrictive pipes, smaller carbs or a 1 into two design....but you'd be missing the boat totally by trying to make it into something it's not. In those cases, I'll be the first to say a stock cylinder setup is better and more cost effective for what you are trying to do....
-
CUBS are NOT trail friendly.... You can try to neuter them, but you'd be wasting your money. You'd be better off with stock cylinders if they are done correctly. However, a Cheetah with powervalves would be the BEST all around motor. Power valves, top end porting....sheesh!!!! Way too many variables in that equation....depends on who setup each, chassis, setup, etc...

I got a rebuild kit, been a year...and it was like 10 or 15 bucks. Get a billet kick starter and you won't have to worry about it again....or just rebuild it once a year...

Oh no....I don't have the money to maintain something like this, it's a buddy's motor. It runs strong, but everything in it is custom or hand cut, etc. 530 chain, etc... It's an absolute animal to see run...just too much motor for my pocketbook... -
Who has a Pirate Hooker fetish...that's ok... Meat, I know what was said, I know who said it. I stand by my words...my responses, and the tone/intent on all of them. If you're not going to like the answer to a question, don't ask is my philosophy...and when you do ask, be prepared for an answer you may not like....

Funny thing is, OJ and I have made up twice, and I've sent him threads on E2S about LT 250 parts/bikes for sale trying to help him finish/build his Zook.... I guess when you post enough, BS or not....it's bound to happen....oh well.

The way people normally learn is by experience...or by listening to others with experience...that's it. I've tried to tell him that he can knock himself out by trying to balance it...but THROUGH experience...it's just not worth the work to see literally no results whatsoever. So at that point, I'd consider him wasting his time. My goal is to help people NOT waste time and be productive, to NOT have to learn things the hard way...as I have, or as others have that have taught or passed that on to me. I can tell you the stove is hot, don't touch it. I can tell you you're gonna get burned, don't touch it. I can tell you it hurt like hell...don't touch it. You want to touch it anyways....yeah, I'm gonna laugh at you and call you a dumbass... That's how it is...like it or not. Rippen and theshee...thanks for the support fellas... I know I don't please everyone all the time, but I try... Turbo... There is really nothing you can say or do to make me think any more or less of you. You've run your mouth...first in PMs to me, as said...then turned off your PMs like a chicken shit. Not only run your mouth, but threatened me. If you want to post where I do, so be it. I'm still gonna call you out....from then, going forward...I really don't give a flying fuck, to be honest. I've read your posts...I've read your so called accomplishments...and I'm still sitting here not even close to being impressed. I honestly don't care if you get my dry humor, sense of sarcasm...joking or not. I really could give a shit. You say your family owns a race shop...but the only thing you did in this post is post up...oh, cry me a river, leave the guy alone, don't jump on the bandwagon...blah blah. Never did you offer your own experience, first hand knowledge, the outcome...etc. So that mean you came to a thread I WAS POSTING ON to troll...once again, chicken shit on your part. I work in the computer industry...and I sit behind one 6 hours a day plus at work, maybe 1-2 hours a day at home. I got all kinds of time to sit and laugh at your stupid ass. You flat out don't matter enough to me to think twice about...period. I'm done with this conversation... For my friends, thank you for the words. You get me, you understand me... For the haters...piss off... Why don't you take 10 minutes, read my posts...see who I've tried to help and what lengths I've gone...then come back with the shit you've thrown at me here. If you still want to run your mouth....fuck off.
-
You're not standing, you're barely even kneeling... You make no sense...and don't even have a single leg to stand on...period.
-
Use a thin layer of grease on the orings so they stick and don't fall out/kink when installing it. Take your time....save your stock head for the torque tightening pattern, reference that. I go 10 Ft. lbs all the way around, then 15, 20...then 22. Nice even torque.

10 mil cub for sale (NO NOT MINE...)
dajogejr replied to dajogejr's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Trenched Cases included... CASES ONLY, no tranny, clutch, etc. -
Several of us didn't run one last year, and it was our first venture into drag racing. Most of the time....it will help with your consistency. When you can sit back, get good bite and not have to worry about flipping over...it's kinda a nice thing. I will have one this year. If you're bracket racing, normally...if you lift off the throttle, you just lost....unless the guy next to you red lighted, slept at the light, wheelied MORE than you...or flat out went to fast and broke out. All of which can happen. I think you'll be ok for now...you'll just have to learn to balance a good solid launch, yet slipping a little to keep the front end under control. My advice...make a trip or two to make sure this is something you like. Now...that being said...you want to race the street. Yeah, tires should hook like glue on concreted, so...if you're serious about drag racing, get one anyways....
