  1. Aw, shit! Replace the clutch, eh? Maybe that's what all that goopy shiat was in the bottom of the case. I don't mind gettin my hands dirty, but breakin the piggy bank? I'm too broke as it is.... I'll break the clutch down and check the fibers. Thanx for the help.
  2. We're doing some custom grills, just about anything you want. Here's some pics of our work. --->clicky<--- Lemme know if you're interested.
  3. Yeah, coolant level has dropped some, but no oil in the coolant. Took it apart yesterday... oil was extremely fuct up. Milky (of course) and all kinds of mush laying in the bottom of the tranny case. Was tinkin' it might be clutch fiber, but the discs are in good shape. Impeller has some fairly deep grooves, so I'll be getting a new one of those and a new seal along with a new o-ring for the coolant transfer through the case. Throw her back together and we'll see. Wish me luck.
  4. I had some on my old 89 shee, they've been in there since 95. I owned it for 6 years and sold it to my cousin. We've still got it and that I know of we've only had to change 'em out twice. Maybe try going to a different pedal?
  5. Don't think you can test the CDI, but do a search for 'Electrical FAQ' or clicky here for directions to test most everything else.
  6. Ya mean I ain't supposed to be doin' that?? But I just can't help myself, the Shee turns me on soooo much! wtf do I do now?
  7. '99 Shee, just bought it about four months ago. Checkin' the tranny oil and it's milky. I'm thinking it's prolly just the impeller seal, but was hoping for some more ideas from the experts here. So whadda tink guys (and gals)?? Anything else it could be? Thanks!
  8. Those trees don't move, do they? That sux man, but I'm sure you'll be back up and ridin' soon. Get well.
  9. I have run Skat Trak's "The Edge" for years and been very happy with 'em. Just like any other Skat Trak tire, you can custom order nearly any size/paddle combo you want. Still pull fairly well in a straight line (not as good as a Hauler...) yet still allow ya to carve the sand up pretty good. My old bike was set-up fairly close to the same as yours. Try a 22X11X10 10-paddle Edge. Oh, and I'd avoid the Sand Stars....shitty tire from my experience. JMHO Good luck
  10. No battery, unless someone installed an aftermarket kit for one, but that's extremely rare....at least from my experience. Oh, and welcome to the HQ!
  11. Word on that....the only stupid drunk some bitch that rides my shee is me!
  12. I know the feeling....my entire motor has been sitting at Dan's since early March. But it's all good. Just got off the phone with him not but an hour ago. The guy is up to his ass in alligators from the sound of things. Too much work and now his Mom got really sick, so he is trying to care for her at the same time. When it rains it pours, eh? Anyhow, from what I've heard and seen - Dan is one heck of a guy and will do what he can to make things right. But still, it sure is tough to have that shee just sittin in the garage takin' up space ain't it? Hang in there!
  13. I can't speak from experience, but that is what I've heard: Yes you need to be a premium member to play the games.
  14. Without seein pics it's difficult to say, but I'll go ahead and throw in my .02 Some of the original pipes for the Shee were designed around the J-arm frame. They stretch way forward and if installed on a later A-arm frame, clearance with the top bolt could be an issue. (Because the A-arm is longer and reaches further back) I've seen this happen before and could be what's up. Anyhow, post some pics when you get 'em. I'm sure everyone on here will be more then willing to lend you some advice. DJ
  15. Damn weather anyway. rz and I are still planning a trip May 6-8 if ya want to head up then. Lemme know what you find on those whips. I'd like to find something custom, or at least something that not everybody else and their brother has. DJ
  16. I'd take the rear caliper, disc, and bearing housing.
  17. You live in Rexburg? You luck dog, I'm jealous. Six or eight of us from Colorado are heading up there on July 9-22. Some of them are here on the HQ. Yeah it's gonna be hot, but we're meeting another group of folks up there. They're buggiers, but they can party down. Can't wait!
  18. Worthless piece of shit, yup that's me! Couldn't have asked for a better day of riding. Except for the jerk-off I had to ride with. Seriously though, we did have a great time. Nothing says stress relief like burning some fossile fuels and getting sand in your beer.
  19. Yeah, we started doing that a long time ago just trying to make as much power as we could at these high elevations. Compression is the key when the air is this thin. IMHO My old shee, mildly ported, 28mm carbs, FMF GoldSeries pipes (obviously this was a LONG time ago ) and 14cc domes would only make about 195psi at Walden. Every setup is different. Really the only way to know fosho is to do a compression test. In other words, please don't do as I did and risk damage to your bike. Do you know what psi your shee is at now? You don't need race gas unless your pushing 160psi and I doubt you are with 19cc at 5000ft. But again, every setup is different. You prolly don't want my opinion , but I'm just trying to help out and maybe save you a few bucks. Prices of fuel are f***ing crazy!
  20. Either somebody filed some numbers, or you're looking at the engine numbers. There should be three digits in front of the 3GG.
  21. Could you send me some a pic of the six pack rack pls? dj@lovelandscrew.com thanks!
