  1. yeah ill be sure to get ahold of you guys as the time gets closer ,im stoked about it ....we will definitly have to meet up and have a few brewski's , im hoping it doesnt rain ,i hear the strip is short ,might have to play with my gearing so no slowass four pokes take me out of the hole , that would be embarrasing
  2. i will be there , you guys bring your trail bikes ...my cub is only a baby 350 dammit
  3. keep in mind your bolt on mods will play a big part in working with the port work , youl lhear alot of promises ....about anybody can make a banshee scream @9000+rpm with a narrow powerband but getting them to come on off idle and have a wide strong linear pull takes time and alot of work especially to the rear transfer port and exhaust shape ,to make a a small displamcent parallels twin 350cc engine get a broad smooth powerband off idle isnt easy as alot of builders claim ,good bolt ons for this project would be igntion timing set at like +5 ...18cc domes ,vforce 3 reeds ,lightened flywheel and run stock carbs with clamp on K&n filters. as muc has i dont care for FMF pipes i must admit they work damn good on woods ports for a banshee ..toomey T5 and pro circuit is another good choice ,generaly as long as your exhaust port timing is under 192 degres and transfers under 127 degrees yo ushouldnt have any trouble keeping good lowend punch .just some things to thin k about and discuss with your builder
  4. their both good pipes i wouldnt say one is leaps and bounds better .to have a big advantage you need full porting and head mods ,thats where the real gains are going to be seen for you get an agressive trail port so yo ucan stil l have decent lowend and fast response ,...nothing is worse than a banshee wit h a ton of lowend rpm hesatation and bog .
  5. the guys at vitos are asses ...they will tell yo u anything to sell a product (sounds like trinity racing) their pistons are said to be wisecos specially cut for them to their specs ,when the damn things clearly say " made in taiwan " right o n the box ,last i checked wisecos are manufactured by me ..just over in mentor Ohio .same as their fancy aftermaket cylinders -all chineses junk that wont last ,the cranks are unwelded made from recycled hyundias and dont last ,gaskets and their reeds are cheap poorly made junk ...in fact there isnt much they have that is worth a shit and the staff is pretty much useless for technical support . as far as the single carb dilemma ,i would run the stockers any day over a single . a high performace parallel twin needs dual carbs ,and it needs to really breathe as well if yo uexpect to make decent power.robbing your engine of CFM is no way to add lowend response to a banshee ,theres othe r much more effective ways to gain i nthat department without choking it out . and actually yo u would probably only lose 500-800 rpms by running a single carb
  6. its going to take alot more than fmf pipes and a 4 mill hot rod crank get any where near those numbers .if you just bolted that stuff on with no porting you ~might ~get 55 hp .to get a true 85-90 at the rear wheels it would require very extensive port work and a host of drag oriented aftermarket bolt ons to all work in unison together .btw generally most 4mill ports only produce around 75 hp on race gas
  7. with fmf fatty pipes on a stock port youd probably only be close to 7700-8000 rpms before it falls off the pipe and peters out .after porting and timing advance of 5 degrees ive seen 1000 rpm rise for them and 12-14 more hp with like 6-7 more pounds of torque its a vague description he gave but it sounds as though your builder is on the right path ,a popular port spec i have found that works great for all around play ripping with excellent lowend and broad midrange is 18cc domes with fmf pipes is 192 degrees of exhaust duration and 126 degrees of transfer ,equaling 33 degrees of blowdown ,exhaust port 70% chordial width with a large arc on the roof and keep transfer widths small and reangle the rear transfers directly towards each other .id run these port specs by him and ask his opinion .fmf kinda suck for over 9000 rpm,but they make really nice broad torquey power for all around fun IMO ,with that port you should be able to hold a 2foot high power wheely through first 4 gears with front wheels never touching the ground .
  8. cubs perform best with high timing and huge carbs . on a 421 i would run 20cc domes with dual 39pwks with atleast +7 timing could even go +10...you will need high octane fuel over 100+ BTW
  9. in reality I doubt your bike even hits 70 rwhp especially on one carb ,the thing is :setup is more important than hp and rider ability goes along way .also the cubs have poor lowend with some hesatation which in some situations could be a big disadvantage .IMO he (cub rider)must have had a big problem with jetting or something cause they are in another league .
  10. i put my 350cc .040 over bike back together tonight and after i put topend tank plastic pipes and antifreeze and whole nine it i realized the compression was super low when i kicked it over a couple times ,it was never fired or ran . long story short i looked at the boxes and to my horror then realized wiseco sent me the wrong pistons these are 2 )65mm 795 series prolites with rings clips and pin ,...0 hours on them ...im going to disassmeble my topend and sell these and order the correct ones for the stock short rod rank , unfortuanlty they wont return them cause i put them in bike even though they are unused . i would like to get 99$ shipped in lower 48 to recoup some of the cost .pm me if your interested .these are for a stroker or long rod crank not a stock setup like mine .thanks
  11. TTT i can make any year work with a little soldier o nmy 97 plug ..shoot me a PM anybody?
  12. looking for a good usable later model stator -must be known to work and function properly . please pm me if yo u have one for a fair price ,thanks Denny
  13. good reliable port work and higher static compression will be a huge difference for you
  14. Klemm no longer makes pipes ,he was a big name in custom tecate pipes
  15. if this is for the bike with the cylinders i ported for you id have to say the cpi small bore inframes would be a really good noticable jump in overall power and the port specs and durations would still suit it for all around nuts without losing too much lowend
  16. thats very true ^^^.... the only instant real cure for a hangover is a injection of synthetic B12 ..my father was a medical coreman i n the navy on anaircraft carrier in the 70's ,him and his buddies would hoop it up get tanked all night long and in morning they would do the B12 injections and reported it would instantly snap you back to normal
  17. ive chatted with the herr juggs owner before on another site ...he seems like a straight up knowledgable person and his porting looks good IMHO ,Jim ia another great guy to deal with ..i dont think you could go wrong with either one .
  18. yeah thats my site ,im not a registered site sponsor on here ( just yet anyway) and i certainly wouldnt want to take any business away fro many one else ,but if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to PM me. -Denny
  19. hes probably really busy at work now with the holidays coming up,those shelves at target arent going to stock themselves ...either that or our boy azriel abyss is waiting in line at his local walmart parking lot for the much anticipated big release of the new slayer christmas album .probably dressed in a full authentic klingon uniform or a dirty black trench coat and ripped fish net stockings.
  20. I cut his flywheel and no i didnt make it any thinner than any of the other ones i have ever cut ,in fact i use the same specs as most builders do for those diameters, theres not really a good way to see what is manufactured on the inside of the casing and these things are mass produced and have flaws ,voids ,and differences internally just like any production OEM part ,spin it at 11,00rpm for awhile and theres a chance for things ot go wrong ...not making excuses ,just saying sometimes shit happens as we can see by the pics,I wouldnt want this to happen any more than he does and as soon as i read this post i instantly emailed polish and discussed several options to resolve this and to address my sympathy for his troubles and he has my word on what ive said to him ,granted it looks much thinner when its all apart i n the pics like that .like was mentioned before i n this thread i have cut dozens and dozens and dozens of these and polish had been running this wheel for a good while now, they are trued and machined off a banshee crank.Im a stand up guy and more than willing to make things right within my means if theres any problems just ask anyone who has ever dealt with me on porting or other mods i have done .sometimes things can go wrong as any banshee owner can testify to. I wonder how many nickel plate bore flaking happens out of 80 cub monoblocks... how many bad spark plugs there are out of 80 NGK's.. how many differences there are in 80 wiseco stroker cranks or vforce reeds ...etc if you still think im a piece of shit and a hack , then you are certainly entitled to your opinions.
