  1. im not saying teh she is the greatest handling and suspended quad by no means ! and i said 2 strokes not banshees anyway as far as 2 of everything! but alot of these machines are just pushed into the market in a rush to win sales ,look at 01 raptors thier trannys are pure scrap polaris even had tranny and geometery problems as well till this year! im jsut saying people really need to sit back and watch a couple years into production and 415 lbsDRY is too fuc*in heavy for a sport quad ,come on thats heavy and raptors are tippy as hell and feel like piped high geared warriors in stock form. and i didntr miss your point, you can make a bike what you like weather its a 450r or a 250r its up to the way you set it up ,people just get to caught up in the latest and greatest and end up paying for a pile for next 5 years ,and it shouldnt be that way
  2. see if your plugs are wet after you kick the piss out of it and youll have an idea if shes getting thirsty or not . id say do as these guys say comp, check be sure all head nuts are tight then id tear those carbs off and start cleaning ,can you hear rubbing or scratching inside the troubled cylinder?
  3. as stupid as it sounds have you checked your in ilne filter ,it may have shitin there and keeping a good flow minimized .or possibly your petcock, did you disconnectall lines and check for rapid flow through them,id also ge tsome carb spray and check to be sure that pilot isnt clogged up .
  4. some machines are just poorly made regardless of the high sticker. a raptor is a fine example of ymaahs rush to compete against its 350 twin bike and it was an abortion right from 01 " and on ,polaris predator is another perfect example, its 415 lbs dry ,thats unacceptable ,we shouldnt have to settle or spend top dollar for this crap ,although i will say in stock form most every bike is slow and poorly accelerates .bottom line id say is it costs half the price to mod a 2 stroke than a 4 and theyre far more responsive to mods thats an advantage and savings right there
  5. try searching under (which exhaust to buy) its only 7 threads down right now ive never heard much about t4s probably cause they arent that great compared to the other t series pipes.
  6. look into a new chrome g force adjustable axle for 199$ ,lifetime gaurantee too rockey mountain atv ,best bang for the buck
  7. sounds like most everone who uses type f has had great luck with it ,and it may bevery well be an excellent alternative to the specilized 6 $ a quart tranny oils ,but for me,personaly, im not willing to chance it when i know the other oils are good for my motors tranny and clutch life .
  8. i think honda makes restricted quads aslo but primarily becasue most of there machines are archaic .theyre 250r line was nice and yes restricted and reliable ,but there 4 strokes were very out of date and still a,re the 450 unicam that was supposed to be the shit turned out to be a mellow rever incomparison to the yfz s agressive dual cams.the ex line and big bore utility lines used push rod slow reving motors too ,reliable yes ,exhilirating,no even the mini quads like the 05 trx 90 actaully uses the exact same motor thats found in the atc90 that came out in like 71 !evry one brags up hondas reliability and ruggedness but if you think about that can be said for most detuned engines ,look at tractors look at briggs and stratton lawn mowers very mellow very rugged ,very archaic designs as old as the she motor dates to (circa 1982) it still is the bike to beat even against the fangdangled latest and greatest four strokes out there .
  9. wow talk abouta staged race, ilike how the she rider is all hunkered over the bars trying to do all he can to muster the hp need ed to beat the mighty slugforce, and the 700 rider is kinds just hangin out sitting upright as if hes just taxying around at a leisure pace a slightly modded 400ex can beat a slugforce ,he should get the kfx mower atachment for it and atlest use it to cut his grass thats funny as hell
  10. i do some port tinkering on bikes in my area. ive ported a she with toomeys and one with pc and id say with average port timing (mild) a pc has a better powerband than t5s ,the t5s come on quicker and punch harder but sign off to earl,y while pc actually seemed to rev farther and more linear topend pull. my.02
  11. atf is badnews in a shes bottom end it is the equivalent of 10w ,auto motor oils and quad oils weight value os different ,i know guys who have tried in 250 dirtbikes because they heard its chemically same yamaha tranny oil but it destroyed (fried)my buddys clutch big time, its not worth it get some thing thicker to protect that bottom end !!
  12. as lame as it sounds rockey mountain hd tusk clutch is a very nice product ,i just installed in my modified she ,much improved design over stock beefier fibers better designed perforated steel plates ,and for 29 $ its a screamin deal
  13. yeah polaris 400 s can be very quick take off the line nice but they still lack that explosive midrange punch a ported she delivers ,a scrambler can track the ground better and 4 wheel peel can launch great too ive seen 400 polairs eat shes and zillas but they cant hang with a 60+ hp she (120 pounds lighter too ) and theyre still heavy ugly bikes that when built for drags dont hold together for shiznit
  14. i run 155 mains 48 pilots air screw 11/2 out needle in middle so far she runs pretty good, had a helluva time when i got them at first ,i still think ican get more power out of these if i can pinpoint jetting better ,it runs great but when i pull up choke, it runsa tad bett r on bottom, but bigger pilots didnt help like youd think ,didnt mean to hijack the thread
