I just ordered cpi's..cant wait to get them!

Well since we are on the topic of cool heads.....Tell me if I have this right. Milling the head is basically a cheap way of upping compression right? And the milled head wont run any cooler right? Then on the other hand the cool head is going to up your compression, cool more efficently, but going to cost more. Does that sound accurate? I'm still learning

when you say the end of the pipe are you reffering to the cap?

Yea I bet Trinity was closed when I tried to call. As for porting I havent got it done yet. I probably wont port until next winter or after that. Thank again for all your help!

Thanks for the replies guys! My brother just got a lectron for his yfz450, so I am curious to see how it runs after he installs it. I just ordered some CPI's the other day. I almost bought the Trintiy's,(thanks for all the info RNBRAD!) but I couldnt get a hold them, the line just kept ringing. Then a bunch of my friends and one of the local shops here talked me into getting the CPI's. I cant wait to get them!

I am looking into purchasing some new carbs soon. I have been leaning towards the Lectron carb. Does anyone have any experience with this carb? Also what are some other good carbs out there? And what millimeter should I go with. By the time I get my carbs I will have trinity pipes, port, timing advanced, flywheel lightned, milled head. Thanks in advance!

This is very true! Whenever I wash my bike I put a big bag around the pods and then use a zip tie to seal it...seems to work pretty good.

I just raced a 400ex bored to a 440 with cams, carb, exhaust, intake, everything. Also his friend had a yfz450 with cams, exhaust, intake, etc. They both whooped my ass! Not by very much that is. The 450 beat me by about 2-3 bike lengths, and the 440ex beat me by about 1-2 bike lengths. We were racing up sand mountain here in utah. All I have done to my bansh is K&n and re-jetted. It still pissed my off though! I am ordering my Trinity Exhaust in the next day or two. Then we will see.........

I will be going to st. anthony dunes sometime this year, not until after june though. I am from slc utah, I am glad to see there are some utah riders on the forums. We should all plan a riding trip sometime. I go to jerico (sand mountain about once a week when the weather is good) I just went yesterday

I run clamp on k&n's. I think it is a personal preference thing. I have some people tell me they swear by clamp ons, and other people tell me they will never run clamp ons.

read the jetting faq at the top of the jeting forum also, it will give you a good idea were you need to be.

trinity has a deal going on right now on thier pipes. check out the jetting/exhaust section.

re-gear it. drop a tooth in the front sprocket. Its cheap as hell.

Thanks boonman! I read on another thread about some places selling TORS removal kits? Have you heard of this? If so where can a kit be purchased?

Jetting is easy man! Read the banshee jetting faq, the first time it will seem like a pain and after that its cake! I can rejet my bansh in about 10 minutes. (since i removed my airbox that is )
