You hate Gorman, I love it... You say they hassle shees but you don't go there ... but you've been there... yet I've never gotten a second look in the 8 years I have been taking my 97 shee to Gorman... Bottomline is that this thread is in the Events Forum as an invitation to HQ members to come riding... It says HUNGRY VALLEY RIDING TRIP in the subject line... So why are you coming in here just to trash our trip ? If you hate Gorman so much why even open the thread ? The subject was NOT "Haters post your thoughts on Gorman..." so I'll thank you to quit pissing on OUR party... Merry Christmas... Jeff

NO... This is riding season... RED sticker starts in early October everywhere... Maybe if you weren't riding a stolen, unregistered bike you would know that... Ha Ha Ha Ha... I think you should come with us cause I don't think it sounds like you know Gorman well by your thoughts on the place... Pack it up and meet us there... unless you don't have a RED or GREEN sticker... PS - I will check into Honda Valley... Thanks for the tip !

Well YES... It is California... That kinda goes without saying... I guess I should have stated that this trip is not for out laws, wife beaters or criminals on the loose... LOL

Not many shees out there these days... all 450s... Which makes it all that more fun to blow by them... Everyone that buys a 450 thumper thinks they are the fastest bikes... and when I blow by on my stock, piped, jetted, old school shee they just can't believe it... Makes me laugh everytime... People just don't understand what a Banshee is unless they own one and know how to ride a 2 stroke...

Not sure what kind of MODS you think you would have to remove to ride there? All the Rangers care about at Gorman is that you have a spark arrestor... They check at the gate and thats the end of it... I always arrive on Friday so the gate is open and no Rangers till Saturday to even check... If they stop you for being an ass they may check you for noise or check to see if you have an illegal green sticker... If you are not racing through the campgrounds without a helmet they don't care what you do... I even rode up to them last trip and asked if they would sound check my XR... It was 101db when the legal limit is 96db... They said "Thanks for caring about the noise issue. We don't randomly check like other areas because we don't have residents to put pressure on us here. Have a nice weekend and enjoy your ride !" Another time I was ripping up a big hill and using the lip as a berm pulling a brodie and ripping back down... my friends thought I was nuts... I was on fire tearing it up... I saw a Ranger parked off to the side and thought he was going to give me shit for something cause it sat there the whole time I was on the hill... To get it over with I came down and rode over to him and asked if he was waiting to nail me for something... He said "God NO ! I was just watching... Never seen anyone do that before !" Another time I pulled a power slide coming into my camp on the 15 MPH access road and threw some rocks my neighbors way... I didn't realize one of the guys on a bike was actually a Ranger talking to them about racing through camp earlier... He was one of the two Ranger Riders that work the weekend. He came over, checked my Banshee serial number to make sure I had a legal green sticker... Chewed my ass about the slide and my speed... I was super respectful and kissed his ass and apologized. He walked off NO TICKET ! I like a lot of Rangers as long as they are cool like the guys and gals at Gorman... and since all but two of them are in trucks you will never see them on the trails anyway... They just drive around the campgrounds... Bottom line is DON'T BE AN ASS and you will NEVER have an issue with a Ranger at Gorman... I guess it's like law enforcement in general... Some people have issues with cops every where they go... some of us don't... But in Gorman you don't get random harassment ! Can you tell I like the place...? LOL

Hi gang: I'm trying to get a head count on non registred RIDERS that will be meeting us for this trip... Please let me know how many you have coming... Bike or Quad... and if you need room to camp or a Toy Hauler... or just day trippin it... Thanks peeps... Jeff

Are you guys telling me out of 8,450 members no one actually rides their quads in Gorman...? Is this site just internet chat and Sand Drags...? or do people actually get out and go riding...? Regards... Jeff

Hi guys: Got a hair and decided to spend the whole weekend in Stoddard and do some riding as well as catch some of the Outlaw 250 ... Will be out there Friday afternoon till Monday morning... Look for the RIDERS sign on Stoddard Wells Road approx 2 to 3 miles EAST of Dale Evans PKWY to locate our camp.

I wish I had it fixed... Bought a Toy Hauler... Been setting it up... Went away for several days... Started a motor project for my truck today... LOLOLOLOL... Need to build a gate in the fence to park the Toy Hauler... and dig a trench for the at home dump station my plumber buddy is going to install... Whew... Poor little Banshee is on the bottom of the list... Been riding my XR...

It's time to schedule Ocotillo again... This trip is during the week between Christmas and New Years... (Tuesday through Thursday)
