  4. i had an 87 that done the same exact thing..and couldnt figure it out..it done it from day one and finally i cracked the topend open and figured out why...the people i got it off of didnt let it get the proper warm up time and it partially froze the rings.. it would run great until it started getting really warm then it would just run like shit..redid the top end and shee screamed...i say check your compression....! :thumbsup:
  5. you can cut the plugs off the cdi and the stator and put on the plugs from the 89 model or you can just change the electrics so you dont have to cut anything other than that theres nothing else different.........

  7. that intake is definately not the same size and those have boost ports cut in them..who done the porting? i think that the porting is set up for stock stroke. dont quote me but i think if your port is above 24mm you have to have them adjusted for 4mm..someone correct me if im wrong...also those dont look like no recreational port ive ever seen...
  8. nah the pipes are the shit..I'm a certified welder i just done them myself...one of my buddies bought a set recently and they didnt come with the o ring flanges either.....just how duncan does shit...

  10. i bought mine brandnew last year and they didn't come with them, when i called to see if they could do the retrofitting for me they said it is only upon request and costs extra.........
  11. well pt usually dont come with the oring type flange on the end of them..you know where they slide up on the cylinder..so you either have to request they do that when you buy them or someone has retrofitted those flanges off some other pipes onto those... :smile:

  19. if you got metal in your cylinder you might be better off just to split the cases and examine the crank.. Wiseco postons are the only way to go depending on how bad your cylinders are a builder will determine what they need to be bored too. why you was at it you should look into porting your cylinders as well..you will see the biggest increase of all. I would call around and get some estimates...jeff at fast is a great guy and will get you going F.A.S.T.
