  1. Alright Now were getting somewhere, see the shop also gave him the plate that goes on top of the cylinders instead of the base plate so there is no way to see how far the pistons come up with the spacer plate. Now do you have any clue to how we would be able to establish whether or not it is a 4 mil or if it is just a 5mm and also if it is just a 5 mil rod on a stock stroke would he just be able to run regualar banshee pistons instead of the 795s therefore making the pistons up about farther there for creating a 5 mm stroke? shit this stuff is confusing...just need help figuring it out
  2. See thats the problem I'm no amatuer when it comes to banshee motors but this thing has me stumped..it a 4 mil wiseco he got...the local shop has him all confused and hes taking me down with him...lol with th stock banshee pistons the piston will come so far out of the cylinder that the top ring will pop and get stuck on top of the cylinder. So the shop told him he had to have the 795's he bought those. Now the piston comes up just as far as my stock stroke crank. it is a 4 mil but its all crazy the evryone tells him he needs a plate and the shop said he doesnt but the way the motor is doing its like he doesnt need it I mean he even put the head on without the spacer and the crank turns over fine dosn't hit or anything..This local shop contradicts eveything i say to him and I persoanlly feel they dont know thy're ass fom a hole in the ground.....
  3. Alright heres the situation my buddy is building a 4 mil stroker.. when he first put it together he used regular pistons but they came up so far he the top ring of the piston would pop out of the cylinder.. he called the local shop and they told him he needed the 795 series piston with the spacer plate..Well he got the pistons before the spacer plate so he went ahead and installed the pistons, just out of curiosity he put the cylinders on, and turned it over, the pistons come up just as far as they would as if the crank was stock.. So that raised the question why is the stroker plate needed? he then installed the head and turned it over and the piston does not hit anything and turns over smooth? So he been calling around and has been trying to get ahold of Jeff to pick his brain but can get no answer..Any of you guys have some answers or similar situations....?
  4. I think its preference, who prefers what! I ru nthe billet on from modquad now I had the dm design and snapped a chain and although it didn't take a chunk out of my cases it flexed and cracked them in the usual place so I got rid of that pos real quick. since then I've thrown the chain i don't know how many times and it has done very well! tethers are real handy wouldn't ride my quad without it.
  5. No Porting? with the v3's you should jet up 1 or 2 sizes where you at now? 280? somewhere around there?
  6. Search button.....its been gone over 100000000 timesit's all preference..but on the other hand Klotz does have a higher flashpoint than any of the other oils mentioned!

  10. where at in wv are you?
  11. don't get me wrong bansheman I'm not knockin the wickeds by any mean and I'm not saying that tey are week, there is just always that what if, what if my bike get hit by a car sorta thing...lol..I think I'll just go with the Janssens $200 isn't alot of money and that the difference...
  12. He seems like a standup guy but your right $525 is way too steep for these arms...considering what he said about his warranty..He said alot of guys that are buying these think they can buy them with the lifetime warranty go roll their quad over the hill and bend their arms and send them back for him to replace..he said thats not the case he said his lifetime warranty only goes for manufacturing defects he said that if you ever have a weld break or something hell replace it..so I guess if your riding and just hit a jump and they bend your screwed but on the other hand he said you can buy all seperate parts for you to replace what you break This is why I'm leaning toward Janssen mx tech arms..lifetime against bending or breaking..I just need some guys to chime in about their experience with them. Too bad I would have willing gave Wicked my $425 or even $450 but No way will I give them $525 with a warranty like that. I'm leaning toward Janssen c'mon guys let me know about them!
  13. Well. I called Wicked and spoke to him about the arms and they come with a lifetime warranty againts manufacturer defect...I.E. weld cracking.. so I was like yeah I call back friday to order them for 425 shipped. So I call back and they tell me they have raised $100 dollars to $525 in 2 days So now I've been looking at the Janssens which are $700 shipped and are the arms I've always wanted so I'm having problems making up my mind The janssens look way beefier and they are a way better established company also the warraty is lifetime agains bending or breaking but the wickeds are cheaper. the only thing I dont like about the Janssens are the heims, I usually avoid the mud but sometie you cant help it..I need some guys that have these arms to chime in a help out.........
