Has anyone had their flywheel done by these guys?
RNBRAD replied to Holyman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
White Knuckle does them for 40 too. Ron said he couldn't do my RS unit and I didn't know about Boonman, so I had to go with WKR. -
Post the pics in the images section if you could.
-
You are correct.
-
I'll probably try and make it around Snake Fest (apr 2nd).
-
Yep high 60's today and highs in the teens for the weekend. Whatever happened to steady trends and norms?
-
Wow, that thing is in a class of its own!!!!!!!!! Bring that thing to any riding area and you will instantly have it to yourself.

I chose Trinity on my last build for several reasons and will continue to use them in the future. Though do like Chemical said, do your homework and know what type and style of riding you do most and what type of porting would best complement that. It's not all out horsepower or numbers that you should look at when deciding or you may be very dissapointed. A good area to start is with dyno charts from engine builders. This is the end result of their work, although variables are involved, it will give you a good idea of the performance differences between them. Most companies should be happy to send you dyno test results of their work. If not, choose someone else. This will help you to analyze where you want your power to start and how long it will last. If you trail ride or MX you need the power to come on early, if your a dune rider or a dragger you need it to come on a little later etc. It's a give and take with porting and yes we would like to have it all but it's not possible. Also you will find some dyno's on this site with some searching and luck. Remember also that your exhaust system should compliment your porting style, meaning match your porting. This has a significant affect on your performance. Ok you've been armed, now go do the hunting. Good luck!!

whats the best cooent to use in the shee
RNBRAD replied to oldschool98's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Just some bike racers take on the two products. Engine ice and WW. Engine Ice FWIW my experience with Engine Ice was with my Honda Hawk race bike. I read all the claims and thought it might have better heat properties than using just water (which is what's required in racing - most coolants would make the track slippery if you dumped any). In a couple of words - it's crap. The race bike ran 20 degrees hotter with engine ice than with plain water or water with water wetter. --MarkF Check this out: repost of good coolant article from old website Robert #959 WaterWetter? Any of you guys with systems nearing the edge consider trying "WaterWetter" from Red Line? They sell it in my local Murray's auto parts store, and I've not heard any BAD things about it (may be snake oil, for all I know, though). Supposedly designed for use in racing machines using straight water (due to the hazard of dropping slippery antifreeze on the track), it can also be used in normal antifreeze. The label I read said it could be used as well in a traditional antifreeze/water mix. Marty #436-Chicago-97 F650F Only thing about WaterWetter is that you would have to drain the system and refill it with antifreeze as water with WaterWetter in it will freeze causing tons of damage. I know a bunch of guys who race, and they change out after the season. MasterITRIT I've used a mix of WaterWetter and tap water in a turbo 5-series BMW, a supercharged Jeep, a 320is with a Korman built race motor, a stock EX500 and my R1 as required to run at Thunder Hill raceway. No problems with any of them, and the turbo car actually ran noticeably cooler at the track (she used to heat up a LOT running flat out all day at Stapleton in Denver, something about there not being any air up there). I did have to pull it out in the winter to keep things from freezing though. Moving back to CA solved that little problem. kelly1005 I hit the WaterWetter link and did a quick scan. It aroused my engineering skepticism, since it did not mention specific active ingredients and corrosion-inhibitor chemicals. I'd like to know what's in the stuff and if it is compatible with the type of coolant I might mix with it before using it in a cooling system. The Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for it or its ingredients may be posted on the web. If both the Texaco and Water Wetter experiments go south on us, maybe we can get a group discount on radiators and water pumps. teddco Beware, WaterWetter is NOT antifreeze... Red Line WaterWetter does not significantly reduce the freezing point of water. If the vehicle will see freezing temperatures, an antifreeze must be used. Flash #412 WaterWetter is used in motorcycle racing because it provides some benefit for a bike's cooling system and is apparently relatively non-toxic and not slippery, should the bike crash on the racetrack. It is mixed with straight water and I do not believe that it is what you want to use for long-term street-riding coolant. I suspect that it will not provide as much high and low temperature boil-over/freezing protection and will not keep coolant systems from corroding, the way commercial coolants will. I would not use it for street riding. Richard #230 -
HAPPY B DAY--locogato11283 and therail

Happy Birthday fellas!!!! -
Cool, looks like they mount up like air tool connections. That should make it easy for sure. I like the units with the springs at the bottom of the pole though. Seems like people never brake those.
-
Environmentalists and the EPA are to blame, not 4 stroke riders.
-
Haha, I'll have to try that next time at at the mall.
-
It may be the Elka's are the zero preload system. I'm not sure if TCS offers this but ZPS will lower your quad.
-
Brooke, why all the anger? You obviously have something against me for some reason. Just come on out and say it. Your gonna go off on just 1 little BS post? I don't think so, something else is must be going on. Clue me in.
-
Don't take everything in life so serious Brooke, and you will find out you too can be happy.
-
My lightened RS has held up fine.
-
Ok it's intermission time. Go get your popcorn, milk duds and hot tamales. See ya back in 2 and 2. Stay tuned, more love to come.
-
Ok I made it G rated for the family.

I musta missed this thread somehow, imagine that. lol. Anyway here's my 2 wheat pennies. Women, yes there are a few that are exactly like everyone has stated, "unable to please". Mainly the reason is they cannot be happy and have never experienced happiness, so it is their life search to find their perception of happiness, only God knows what that may be. This is not all women though. Read on to see what makes them happy. Men, we would go right to the 6th floor, treat all the women like shit every time the door opened and as soon as we get to the 6th floor. I'll be damned, all the women from the 1st to the 5th floor flooded the fire escape to get to the 6th floor and then you will have all of them to choose from at once. That's always been my secret, treat them like shit, and they will never leave you. Don't ask me how or why, it just works.
-
Can you simplify the question, maybe narrow it down? To buy or not to buy?
-
Hey Lead, I would PM BdBanshee. He may want it.
-
Yea I would bet they are the only 2 that would know that info. So I would just give them a shout.
-
Word!! Makes tuning carbs with open filters a breeze too.
-
You would probably need to PM Boonman or BdBanshee for that answer. They can also do it for you.
-
The 97 to present banshee's have a different plug. They have a green/yellow wire incorporated in the plug that goes to the parking brake switch which the 96 and earlier models don't have.
