  1. Well one small benefit is that it is aluminum, so it will disipate heat better than the pos oem steel plate. Doubt it's even close to measutable, but hey the theory is there. Maybe they should of put fins on it.
  2. I don't know how the EBC's wear yet, but I do know they are the best brakes I have ever used on anything as for feel and stopping power. I'm sure that a pad with more stopping power won't last as long. I would assume there is a price to pay for better performance.
  3. PTT, click on the modquad link above, they have them.
  4. 205th sig, lets keep on riding!!
  5. Yea the only way you will notice a difference is if you were running really crappy pump gas prior to using the race gas. The only other way to tell a difference would be a change in the amount of oxygenation between the 110 and 117, if it was even oxygenated fuel to begin with. Otherwise the difference was caused by the placebo effect, meaning you thought or believed it would increase performance, therefore your mind led you to believe your intuition.
  6. The EBC sintered R series heavy duty.
  7. Why do you want new ones? Yes you do need to explain. You already have the best pipe for what you use it for. I would definitely recommend the fatties over those listed and probably anything out there for trail use.
  8. Nope totally fine, only damage will be to the pocket book. It is obviously better quality than pump gas but not to justify it's cost for use in a stock motor.
  9. Yep same ice shit here in OK. To top it all off this freakin morning at work. A girl I work with offered to start a bunch of our cars for us. I'm like ok here's my key and don't lock my fkn doors. I'll be damned if I didn't get my ass to my car and the damn thing was running with the doors locked. At first I thought the doors were just frozen shut, nope I couldn't of been that lucky. Can't wait to see her ass at work tonight. 30 dollars and an hour later I finally got home.
  10. I think mine was right around 115 to 116 links. Can't rememeber exactly, just know that when I bought a 120 link chain seems like I took off around 4 to 5 links. So buy a 120 link chain and you will be ok. Your stock brake line should be fine. I purchased a +2 and it's still a little long. This really depends if you go with a honda style carrier, it moves the brake caliper more forward than a stock mount swingarm.
  11. To all those people who think they have a quad If you ride a Honda you only have one rod You need to ride a Banshee if you want a thrill Cause a Honda won
  12. 9 and 33 were girls, but man 46 was a girl.
  13. You could be rich or lean (unsure by the sound of it) on your needle setting. Slap some new plugs in it and do a plug check at half throttle ONLY, 1-6 gears for a couple minutes. Take them out and do a reading. You could also put the choke on at half throttle to see if it runs better. This will help tell if your rich or lean (just in case you are lean) it should run better with the choke engaged if you are lean. Adjust the clip on the needle, if it is rich move the clip up 1 notch (this lowers the needle). If it is lean move the clip down 1 notch toward the pointed end of the needle ( raises the needle). It's possible you may have ran into a lean condition since you needed to use the choke on a warm engine. The temperature or altitude from when it was originally tuned to where you were riding may have changed enough to manifest this condition. Higher altitudes and warmer temps will cause a rich condition. As lower altitude and lower temps can cause a lean condition.
  14. There is a set of wires coming from the left side of the engine, under the left carb. Follow these wires till you come to a white plug. Disconnect this plug. Take an ohmmeter and connect it to the white/red wire and white/green (this is the pick-up coil wires) on the engine side of the plug, your reading should be 94 to 140 ohms. Now place the ohmmeter to the red and green wires (engine side also, these are the source coil " stator" wires) your reading should be between 13.7 to 20.5 ohms. To check the ignition coil (located right of steering stem) there is a primary and secondary check on this unit that needs performed. Primary check: connect ohmmeter to the leads coming out of the black box where the orange and black wires plug into (remove wires first). Measure the resistance between these leads. Norm 0.28 to 0.38 ohms Secondary check: Place ohmmeter leads between front lead of black box (where orange lead connects) and right cylinder spark plug wire. Norm 4.7 to 7.1 k ohms. Hope this helps and explained well enough. If not let me know.
  15. I agree, a crank should mean everything that comes normally attached to it, rods included.
  16. Well the weather is sucking now and doesn't look good forecast wide. Dunno it may be 90 degrees out or snowing. Just never know.
  17. Well I recon you could, but if it came down to it your wife would be entitled to half the worth of those times. They may find out that you are doing just this and even bring your friend into the mess. Divorces can get pretty nasty, really depends on her, her lawyer and how bad they want to screw you. I don't know all the details of course, but it's a hellofa lot better to come to an agreement on thing, put it in writing and skip all the lawyer bs. Though she may not be willing and that would suck. Good luck. Any kids? Stay together if at all possible when kids are involved, just my opinion.
  18. Yea it's all based on percenetages, you have to look at it per capita or it's not accurate info or stats, an example: When they inacted the helmet law in cali, they said the rate of traumatic brain injury went down, though the number of liscensed motorcycle riders decreased also. Some people didn't want to ride anymore cause they didn't want to wear helmets. Some people look at this information as being a good measure. No it's not, though most people don't know how to look at research and statistics and tell if it is good research or not. The research did show a drop in TBI based on helmet laws but not as significant as it would be not comparing the percentage of the populous that actually ride them. Good research will try and take into account all variables. And yes there are a lot of variables. But it doesn't mean that it's not safer to wear a seat belt and a helmet. Variables change with time. Motorcycles are faster, kids are ridiing them younger, quads are getting faster etc. All these bad variables lead to a greater increase in injury. Lets hope the governement isn't going to make laws based on those stats. It's those individual organization with these agenda's to "shock" the public with these bogus stats. They are true, but not the full truth.
  19. Go to the hardware store and buy some thick rubber bushing. May have to do a Little trimiing to fit, but I had to do the exazt soem thing on one of mine. Damn boot was stuck to the bolt and spun in 2 pieces. Some larger diameter gas line will work also. Just cut the length needed and slide a piece in front and back of the bolt. Should help keep the dirt out.
  20. I also experience this but I use the redline water wetter. Good info btw.
  21. Thanks for the info Mike, I didn't realize you guys had stems. Also thanks for the sponsorship, you guys make some real good quality products and good pricing. Nice job on the website, it is much improved over the old design. Keep us informed of new products, thanks.
  22. The anti-vibe is a great system and a must have no doubt. Check out a Janssen unit, I don't think you will find a better quality unit at any price, also a lifetime warranty complete with all hardware and clamps. Some units don't have this.
  23. Fireman, that's why I said it is part of the problems and it is. You don't think so, find out why seat belt laws and helmet laws were inacted. You think in our parent's generation that there were as many injuries related to motorcycle's and vehicles per population? Look at the stats bro.
  24. Haha I said the same thing. Definitely funny but I can't get it out of my head now. My wife is like wtf you singing.
