  1. I believe they call it a labrynth seal, though they are not a "true seal". Low velocity air travels right through them, this is why banshee owners don't test each cylinder seperatly. I found where I read this, here's the link about halfway down the page. MOTIONPRO
  2. Hurricane Katrina could of hit LS and I would be there with the banshee in my boat. Hell now watch something happen.
  3. Only on the aftermarket cranks. It is to keep the outer bearing race from spiining in the case since they don't have the bearing pin. Otherwise air can go between the inner crank bearing and web, through all the bearings to the other side inner crank web and inner bearing.
  4. There's not a crank seal between juggs.
  5. Well hell here's my theory: Heavier flywheels smooth a powerband, absolutely no question about it! Does it add power, absolutely not nor does it add torque. The rotating mass of the flywheel is used to transfer the power when off the throttle, maintains momentum. In all actuality a flywheel costs horspower, there's nothing free about spinning mass, it's about transfer of energy that was originally produced by your motor. Does it affect tractibility? absolutely, this is why banshee's do not fair well as mx'rs, they spin too much because of the powerband hit. A heavier flywheel can smooth this out. Spinning tires get you no where fast accept with the right tires and it's generally in the sand. This mod is popular among duners because it allows just that, spinning tires! The banshee is less affected by a lighter flywheel cause it is a twin cylinder and a 2 stroke at that. Combustion is continuously driving the crank. A single cylinder 4 stroke doesn't have that and requires momentum to carry it through to the next compression stroke.
  6. Hey SB, glad to see ya on. Bout time for another banshee isn't it?
  7. Around 875 plus about 40 for the stud extenders, casting plugs, and ? for your flavor of pistons. The 4mils add about 500 and 1000 for the 7mil and 10 mil. Plus you will need special cut domes for the strokers.
  8. I never payed attention. Mine has always been like 16 hrs off, my time zone was in like cukamunga or something. I finally fixed it but yes it is an hour off.
  9. You mean she finally talked to you after she hung up on you twice? I guess you sent the money, they spent it before making sure it arrived to you. The transaction is not complete until the part arrives on your door step. Some people need to realize not to touch the money (if they can't replace it) until it has been recieved. The money needs to be given back to you till this issue is resolved on their side. So may the flaming continue!!!
  10. It's a Ricky Stator flywheel so I dunno if the balance marks are different from the OEM. The balance holes are almost flush with the surface where it was milled, the pic doesn't show it as well. According to whiteknuckle they removed as much from it as they do a regular oem unit. Though I've heard the magnets in them are larger and you can't take them down as far but whiteknucke disagreed and said they do them all the time. Maybe different company's remove different amounts of material.
  11. This is where I get mine, they pretty much deliver all over the US. http://www.simonspetroleum.com/Race_Gas.htm
  12. Probably sold us all some faulty clutches so you'd have a chance.
  13. Running around on a yfz450 with a bunch of cubs, I'd stay home too. J/K DG, sure wish you could make it. Maybe I'll see you at sand fest. Were gonna move the dunes a little further east.
  14. Glad you got it all back together. Did rax do anything for the damages?
  15. I've done a few side flips. Never been in the seat though.
  16. And I don't think very many of these people carried flood insurance since flooding isn't in the regular home owners policy. I'm sure the price of insurance will sky rocket around the southern coastal regions and flood insurance will hardly be affordable.
  17. You run across a nice one, shoot me a pm. Thanks!
  18. You selling the gas tank? If so gimme a price.
  19. Man, got me all excited.
  20. Any stock gas tanks. I don't need the petcock, I just need to make sure the internal petcock nuts are in good shape.
  21. Well I couldn't back one of the screws to my petock out and basically turned the bolt on the inside to where it is now useless. Anyway's let me know what ya got and how much. I need a nice unit and make sure the petcock screws will come out. Thanks.
