  2. that looks like it,but i need the seat also #8 http://216.37.204.203/Yamaha_OEM/YamahaATV...pe=13&A=138&B=1
  3. pull the float off ,then remove the needle vlv.if you have a air compressor you can blow air into where the fuel comes in the carb usually the seat will pop right out, just be carefull you don't blow it across the room
  4. no, just the needle valve /seat under the float
  5. yes ,stock carb
  6. now that i reread his post it is funny
  7. it seems like someone would make a foam pre-filter that would fit over the k&n, i didn't realize how much shit the K&N lets thru, until i tore down for rebuid and ran my fingers up into the carb boots, very fine fine sand stuck in oil
  8. i just changed my shift shaft ,shift star and put a tudor shift pro kit and it made a huge difference in shifting
  9. take a look and see if the carb on that cylinder leaks a little gas out of the overflow tube
  10. might want to check your float valve/float level, i know mine smokes a little more out of one pipe, that carb also has a bad float valve asembly on the same side
  11. anyone happen to have a extra float valve assembly, out of an old carb or a new one as long as its good, i have a leaky left carb
  12. my stepdads old honda was doing the same shit come to find out one of the bearings were froze up in the rear , i could not even push it when it was in neutral ,take the chain off try to push the quad
  13. don't get me wrong i have less missed shifts with the modded shift star than with the stocker, but i have obvious other problems also. i just found that my shift shaft is very slightly bowed.guess i'll go from there
  14. my bike has been missing a lot of gears lately,i have the top end off for a rebuild so i figured i would split the case to check out my problem,as i get the clutch basket off i noticed that the shift shaft is a very little bit out of adjustment. can someone tell me if a slight bit out of adjustment can make miss shifts? also looks like the shift shaft hooks are barely catching the pins on the shift star. how far toward the shift star do the hooks usually catch? as i was shifting back and forth between gears, i did not see it come off of the pins but with a little effort i could pull it right off of the pins .so the question is to split the motherfucker or try a new shiftshaft and risk being right back where i started.oh buy the way it is like most others i have read about it only misses gears when i am racing or under a load.it will either find some extra neutrals or, i shift and it stays in same gear thanks Mark
  15. i bought a whole pro-light kit on e-bay for 129.00, seemed like a pretty fair price to me,came with everything but wrist pin bearings
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...5&category=6718 half banshee/half fzr1000
  17. call the 1-800# on rockymountain atv website they will fix you up
  18. i run some shit called ice water ,keeps the banshee so cool sometimes it is a bitch to warm up.i have not put a temp guage on it but it seems to run cooler since i added that stuff
  19. the price i found for the power piston kit is kinda hard to pass up. I just don't want to f-ck up my cylinders. hell i am on a 1999 and still on stock bore with good compression, i kinda feel like i am running on borrowed time
  20. when i opened my banshee up to change the clutch i noticed the clutch springs in my banshee were about 1/4 of an inch longer than the ones in the heavy duty kit from ebc.the old clutch fibers must be kevlar or something, they are kinda green colored .are some clutch springs longer then other brands?
  21. well its rebuild time and i am thinking about going with the vitos piston kit. i have read that a few people have had problems with them. has anyone had good luck with them ? do they give a noticible power increase like they claim? will they last? any input is appreciated. thanks MARK
  22. i had the flare on the right brake line, break off inside the splitter, the dealer did not have the line in stock so i used a compression fitting , seems to be holding up fine
  23. hey bansheefreestyler why don't you use your pull with the hundreds of sponsors you have and help the fella out
  24. sunday we went down to the beach for a ride, well i ran down to the store, leaving my son and a friend to watch the bikes, well my buddy thought he would take the shee for a ride while i was gone, i get back, get on my bike, no fuc-ing front brakes, i have nothing at all, i am assuming that the master cylinder is bad . it is full of fluid and i can't get any pressure at the calipers, today i tried to bleed one side and could barely get any fluid out .has anyone used the rebuild kit on the master cylinder? i found one for $16 on ebay i am just wanting to know if the kit holds up or should i purchase a used master cylinder thanks Mark
