  4. if any one has any stock jugs sitting around that haven't been ported could ya grab the top to bottom measurement of the intake port for me please. or if you have measured before please let me know. i am having some custom pipes made and i called jim (passionracing) and got my transfer and exhaust derations and he told me that my intake was raised 3mm and lowered 2mm from stock. but i don't know what the stock measurment is. thanks in advannce for any help.
  5. pull your right plug and see if there is aluminum on it, if so time for a rebuild.. you might need to have it bored if the cylinder is bad. as far as a reliable trail motor, you can either slap some new pistons in it or you can get a woods/trail port from Jeff aka (fasttoys), or from jim at passion racing. both do really good port work.

  8. they can be very loud if you don't keep the packing fresh they will be a round 105db. you couldn't hear my buddies cpi's over my 916's
  9. are they the round slides or flat? mikunis are pretty easy the bigger carbs jetting will be almost exactly the same as your stockers. the pilot jets are different sizes though, they go in increments of 5 not 2.5 like the stock carbs. i am running 34mm mukunis and have 35 pilots and 340 mains, needle in the middle. and i am at 4300 ft. i am a tad on the rich side where i like to be. my bike starts in 3 kicks cold no choke, one light kick warm.
  10. alright well i am probably going to get some cpi small bore out of frames and i was wandering how much it at all am i going to have to change my jetting. 34mm mikunis 35 pilots, 340mains, needle in the middle, 4500 ft elevation. aggresive dune/rec drag port. +7 timing. any help would be appreciated.
  11. the power is pretty smooth. there is a bit of a mid range hit. there is more low end than stock and way more up top. great pipes. the 916's sound sick. i would go with them.
  12. just got it runs great. hate to to sell to but unexpected issues force sale. runs and rides perfect. comes with cover, clymers manual, extra brackets and brake lines, saddle bags, and wind shield. has new battery new plugs and wires, new tires, new air filter. just tuned up. bike is 23 years old so it isn't perfect. could use new paint and a new seat cover 2000 o.b.o.
  13. the plug caps have resistors in them and the go bad easy. swap plug caps with your bike and see what happens.
