  1. 19cc domes wit +4 timing at 1200ft you will need to run 100 or better octane
  2. go back to 80wt. the atf foams up and wont let the clutch fibers and steels seperate because of the air bubble act like scution cups and can cause you to bend shift forks kinda like not useing the clutch to shift. it shifts fine for the first 5 mins you ride doen't it? double check the adjuster make sure it isn't bent and get that sucker dead center. it will probably take a few oil changes to get all of the atf out. atf works great if you only run 300ft and then shut down and wait till next round.
  3. if you over tighten the carb tops you slides will stick.
  4. where the coil bolts to the frame. there is a ground on the back where the voltage regulaor monuts, and there is one on the back of the timing plate (gotta pull the fly wheel and tining plate) and while you are the make sure the pick up coil is clean. you know electrical grounds. but before you do all that pull a plug and make sure you have spark by holding the plug eletrode to the head and kicking it over or having someone kick it over while you hold and watch. if you have spark it is most likely a carb problem.
  5. i would check the water pump impellar. the stock one is plastic and if it gets hot enough once the blades will melt. and since it was on the left side check and make sure your cranks seal isnt leaking and sucking air in from the stator area.
  6. pull your carbs and clean the up real good. then make sure that all the grounds are clean and free of rust. mine wouldn't fire after winter a few years back because the grounds had rusted up on me.
  7. if you have the engine under heavy load ( climing a hill with good traction) and pin it. if you have piston slap you will for sure hear it then.
  8. you might want to seriously consider a strut for the rear end. more traction. don't hop on that seat when its cold, those sides will crack. nice bike! post some vids when you get her dialed in. that is a big twister billet mono block.
  9. it wasn't to bad. had to wear a hoody while riding other than that unseasonably warm. i was on leave and staying at my moms house about an hour from the dunes, so we just went for the day. i'm sure camping would have been pretty cold.
  10. yeah i know, i am from oregon originally, we are hoping for good weather if not we will ride any way. i'm not driving eight hours to sit in the trailer because of some rain. might not break out the tripple until a break in the rain. i rode horsefalls last year on Dec 23rd a little foggy but all in all good weather.
  11. so on the 19th to the 23rd of oct me and probably 3 other guys or more are heading to spinreel. i will either be on a tripple or a red duner shee, with a blue and white raptor and a zuki z400 (485), and maybe a couple kfx 450s. any one else gonna be there?
  12. i like #13 blue and red or orange would work. great idea
  13. you can do it on a bench grinder. i did mine. you just wont have the back cut relief for neutral, so it wont be any easier to get in neutral.
  14. i called dave moore about those and was told that they were never produced. some thing about dave and mod quad got together to make them and shit fell through so they never made any to sell. (i have seen afew around, makes me wander). i would really like a set of those though.
  15. whole new bike in the works!!!! hybrid hill shooter chassis 586cc 18mil. you will see. look forward to seeing you and chris again and all the other guys from the CAG. see ya on the 3rd
  16. who makes some and where can i find them.
  17. here is what i think of them. spend a little more and get wiseco's namura pistons after one year.
  18. do a compresion test with a good gauge. after that if your #'s are good pull you left carb and check it out. sounds like low compression on the left side or a jetting issue. good luck
  19. good find. i bet that will work titts with full bores!!
  20. does any one make a kit? if so who and where can i get it. i have looked and can't find one.
  21. jim is very helpfull every time i talk to him. great customer service. i highly recommend passion racing for quality and service. there is just a point when i feel like i am bothering some one because i know they are busy.
  22. thanks any way guys. i talked to jim (passionRE) again and he said that he has at least ten programs he uses to give dimensions for pipes and none of them need the information that the guy i am talking to is asking for. we have decided this guy is probably not the best person to build me some pipes. so he is calling mat shearer for me. thaks any way again.
