2002 yamaha banshee 350 twin. I bought this banshee a couple of years ago and rode it maybe 10 times. It ran and drove fine. I left it sit for about a year ( because i moved and have no where to ride) and now i cant get it to run right. Its probaly something stupid such as the carbs or something like that. Before i stopped riding it i had a set of pistons and rings put and maybe put 10 hours of them. It will fire up but will not rev out like it should. The transmission and clutch work fine. it is a six speed without reverse. It has the TORS ( parking brake sensor on top of the carbs) removed and idle screws professionally installed as pictured. The frame is solid with no cracks or breaks that i am aware of. Some of the paint is worn off from normal riding. The front end is a little loose and could probaly use new bushings, which cost around $30. The front sprocket has some teeth rounded of as pictured but still pulls fine. The tires are still in good shape. it has nice looking aluminum wheels all the way around. The plastic has no cracks but is scratched up a little, and the rear plastic was white at one time but is now painted black. It is missing the bracket for the front fender on the left side. The cooling system is in good shape and has no leaks at all. It has a after market front bumper. the shifter is also after market. it has a thumb throttle and the grips are still decent. the plastic is missing a couple of bolts here and there. The exhaust is a little scratched and dents up from normal riding. It is also missing a couple of bolts. The right side exhaust needs new rubber clamps as pictured. The headlights work great, but the tail light is missing. I also have a spare set of carbs i will include. This a very fast machine and with a little bit of fixing up will be a great bike. 02 banshee for sale. It runs and drives but needs a little work. The top end (piston and ring) have about 5 hours on them. i just put rebuilt carbs on with tors removed and idle screw installed. it has set for a little while and i cant get it to run quite right... its something stupid but i cant figure it out. the chain and sprockets are whorn out and need replaced although they still work. The front end needs new bearings and bushings. Plastic is not cracked but is scratched up from riding. the rear plastic was white but is now painted black. the parking brake is broke off. the frame is missing paint around the sides from normal riding. they is some more odds and ends that need fixed up. But the good part is that every thing major is ok. the motor and transmission work fine (except for not running right) the clutch is alright, it holds water fine doesnt burn any. i am the second owner and have title. i will get pics 2morrow (too dark tonight). it needs work but is overall stilll a solid machine with potential. i am trying to get $2500 but will except offers. also will except a trade (something small for my wife to ride like a 250) email me at scjandllj@yahoo.com

Oil in the motor??? dont foreget its a 2 stroke. the oil you would have to drain is if water got in the tranny. i would try to fire it up and clear it out... i mean how much water could of got in there??? start it up see how it runs and go from there

no how do i set that up???? i did check the intake boots and they look good

man i'm not to good when it comes to the electrical crap... the guy who owned it before was a idiot very possible sliders got switched like i said i cant find mark in the sight in the carb

i understand but if i switch the wires take the right and put it on the left.... why would the let still die and the right run just fine>? its not completely dead runs at idle and up to 1/8 throttle.... it also back fires out the pipe

i dont thinks electrical again because i switched the plug wires and it does the same thing!! as far as the reeds they look good to me no cracks or breaks... i'm starting to lean towards the carbs.. although there is a chance that there is low compression on the left side, i trust the guy i bought it off (he's a buddy). Any way the i was checking the manual and got into syncing the carbs. I checked the sight glass to line up the mark on the slide and they are way off!! so i started adjusting but i had problems because the glass on the left carb is scratched up. the right carb the mark barely lift into sight. help i'm in distress

i will check the plug gap... both cyliders have good spark... i switched the wires ( since they fire at the same time) and it runs the same .....
