  1. Ok back to the subject guys. First of all if your looking for a good amp on a budget the Kenwood isnt gonna do what your asking. you would have a problem getting descent power out of a Kenwood and they are very unstable. Once you start pounding on it its gonna heat up and shut down on you. I have gone through many many systems (only because people seem to need it more then myself) and have always gone back to kicker. I mid sized kicker amp will power your whole system and take the abuse. Sure its going to warm up a little but she wont shut down on you. Either Kicker subs or Polk subs are a favorite of mine. That is if you are on a budget. There are more expensive subs that will hammer on these two brands but for the money you cant beat them. I had 4 12" JL Audio W6's in the cab of my 93 ford pickup and the set of kickers I have now would smoke these without a problem. Anyway, your question is kinda to broad for a strait answer. You said the loudest stereo. If that is what your shooting for then why mess with the subs? Get some bullet proof MB Quarts or again some kickers, like the 8" mids and a good amp. The system in my 97 4runner will make your ears bleed and loosen the plaque on your teeth at the same time. Hope you dont have heart problems. this is all Kicker with a Alpine deck. Good Luck buddy
  2. non drinker here
  3. um $10 for the kicker. damn kick down with the company name if ya got it. I went to one place and they wanted $35 for each foot peg, $55 for each A-Arm(4 of them), $240 for the swingarm and he said he wouldnt do the frame because it will rust to fast. Did I just get a bad chrome shop or are prices really that crazy. I mean shit, I can by a whole chrome truck bumper for $90 but cant even get my A-arms done for that much.

  5. Thanks Rail. Ya I often wondered why the aluminum parts to come polished from the factory. Man if you could buy polished carbs I sure the heck wouldnt have sat in the garage doing it myself for so long. Now I just need to find a good way of coating them so they are more durable. Thanks again to everyone for the great comments.

  8. Damn, I didnt even think about the V force. without a doubt the best quad in the world. Good call loco
  9. I sent you an email chuck.
  10. first thing you need to do is sand them over and over gradually working your way up in sanding grits. get up to about 600 grit and let me know when you get that far. From that step on its easy.
  11. I would be more then happy to trade. I have exactly what you need even with the aftermarket filter and adapter with it. I have the clamp ons right now and dont plan on using it anymore and it is off of a 2001 in absolute perfect condition. Let me know if you want my setup and we can make the deal.
  12. Ive looked but havent seen him yet. There are a lot of tree stumps that look like him in red county especially at night. Oh, keep your eyes open for ghost driver cars (cars driving themselves). Ive found 4 of them so far.
  13. If you do a search on this topic you will find a thread all about riding wheelies, I know cause Im the one that started it. I still cant ride a wheely and wont be able to until I can get more practice in next summer. Do a search, there are all kinds of tips on this. Good Luck

  17. Well guys for every aplication there are 10 diferent ways of polishing meatheads looked nice but he invested some money in supply's and has probably spent more then that on wasting supplies during trial and error. A person can just stick with a few polishing wheels and some green compound and it will be just as nice. A caution for those of you going that route there is a trick to it. speed and pressure are the keys to a good polish job. Use very little of both and it will turn out great.
  18. I dont have much time to polish stuff other than my own anymore and would only do so for a very few members of the HQ... 280512[/snapback] lol, Im getting to the point where I would almost rather work a few hours extra at work and pay someon to do my polish work for me. I just spent the last 4 weekends working on one of my carbs (dont ask). Lots of trial and error I guess. As for now I will still take a few polishing jobs on the side. I would have to see $100 for both jugs to make me interested though.
  19. It would be a little hard for me to put a price on the carbs as they are just plain hard to do. as for the clutch cover I will do that for $50 I can guarantee it to be a chrome like finish when done. Anything aluminum on your bike I can polish. Just send me a private message and I can give you a price. If you would like to give polishing a try for yourself I will help you out the best I can. Good Luck to you all.
  20. I would be interested in doing a trade for my polishing services. I would consider polishing your carbs in trade for a good port job and fly wheel lightening. You must do quality work and have refrences on your port job. There is a few weeks turn around per carb as I put in about 10 hours of polishing on each one and only have weekends to work on them. We can disuss polishing other parts if you need them done or would rather them be done instead of your carbs. PM me if interested. Here are some pics of a carb I recently did.
  21. Ok here ya are guys. Hopefully these pics turn out, sorry if they might be a little blury. I cant say I would recommend doing this to anyone unless you have a ton of patience. Let me know what you think
  22. well Ive tried all of them with all kinds of wheels. (brown, black, yellow, green, white.) They all leave little swirl marks except for the green. The slower you go the better the outcome. Good luck.
  23. hahahaha, wait till you get to the rest of the carb. I started with the bowl first and that was the easy part. There are parts on the carb you wont be able to get. I do all my work with my dremel tool and a lot of diferent wheels. Best polishing combo so far is green compound and a small whool wheel. when all done you can get rid of the ultra fine swirl marks by using a cotton wheel with no compound on low speed and applying very little pressure. If I can figure out a way of posting pics I will let you see my carbs. Good Luck.
