  1. Looks to me as if you are in the market for a Blaster QuAdRaCeR^775. Otherwise how would you have found it on ebay?
  2. 135'ish on my FZR 600. I dont think I have ever gone any faster then that.
  3. Its basically like a clamp on Filter. You remove the airbox completely and the air filter goes into a "Y" which then bolts onto the carbs. Ok so what Im thinking is that I will Grab a set of 360's and a set of 300's and 310's I will try the 360's first and if it gets worse I will go to the 310 and then possibly the 300's. Now I need to find out if the 27.5 Pilot Jets are right or not. It seems to start and run good at low RPM's but Im not sure if the main jets come in to play at all at low RPM. Anyway, Ill get the Main dialed in first and then worry about the Pilot Jets. Thanks again for all your help guys. Ill let you know what I end up with.
  4. Last thing I want to hear is that Yamaha is going to discontinue the Banshee and not introduce another 2 stroke. Personally, I hate 4 strokes. I dont like the sound or the power, its boring. Im not saying it isnt for someone else its just not my thing. Maybe when I get older and get a little more brittle or less daring I will buy a 4 stroke. But for all of us that have Banshee's you can only imagine what this Ban is going to do for us. Banshees are going to go up in Value the older they get. Yahoooooo
  5. I run Sandstars on mine and it hooks up fine but if you want haulers then go with the 9 paddle not the 8.
  6. Thanks guys, When I shut it down there is black unburnt gas on the silencer. When it bogs starting at half throttle it doesnt even try to open up or anything. I have heard that CPI's work diferently then most pipes as you go the opisite direction with the Jets. Also It doesnt smoke at all unless just sitting idel when warming up. So I have tried 340 and then 320, you think maybe I am going the wrong direction and should try 360 or maybe 380?
  7. Thanks for the help guys. Well I cant do a plug test since it wont go but half throttle. Once I get to my midrange it only bogs and wont go any faster. The K&N did not look over oiled. It is oiled from the factory and the outerwears werent sticking to it or anything. I have been told by the shop that the needle should remain in the stock middle position. Also thought I should add that the carbs are in synk and I was running with the air fuel screw from 1 to 2 turns out. I will try maybe just running strait 110 octane thru it when it gets running but I dont think thats my problem right now. Oh, and I am using redline oil for my mix. Should I go down to 310 main Jets or maybe even 300. What should I do? Thanks again guys, Mike
  8. Ok guys I really need your help. I cant seem to get it right and need to know some of your opinions. I have a stock banshee with CPI inframes, shaved head with 19cc domes, 2 into 1 K&N Kit, Stock reeds, Bored 20 over, and I use 3 gallons 110 octane leaded with 2 gallons pump gas mixed at 40:1. I started out with 340 main Jet and a 27.5 Pilot Jet and it bogged real bad on the top end. I went down to 320 mains and still boggs bad on the top end. I am afraid of going to lean and blowing it up. can someone please tell me what to do? Am I running the wrong sized Jets or do I need to do something different? Thanks alot for any advice you may have.
  9. Got mine at Herbs cycle Town in Cottage Grove Oregon. I priced them everywhere and they are all the same price. I got mine for $570 which includes jets.
  10. Holy Shit, wonder what happens when it throws a rod or something?
  11. Theres nothing that pisses me off more then hearing that the Banshee is the underdog or that 4 strokes are faster and better. I ride the Florence Dunes here in Oregon and the Majority are Banshee's. Coming in a close second are 400ex's. I think the banshee is just an awsome Dunes quad so that is where you will find them. I have a hard time believeing that the banshee is the underdog when you start looking at Billet parts and mods. No quad has more accessories then the Banshee, and why is that? Because they're everywhere!
  12. ??? I clocked mine topping out at 38 when it was bone stock! I must have bought the slow model. 45mph? You do know there is more gears then just first right?
  13. What VIN are you going by. All vin numbers off of the frame only have 9 digits. Are you going by the motor?
  14. Where are you located?
  15. according to the clymer manual it is a 2001.
  16. Well, Its good to meet you all. I didnt realize there were so many of us on this forum. Since I have been checking in here twice a day for the past few months most of your names are very familiar. Take care, Mike
  17. Id say that the shape it is in matters more then the price of the shee. You may find a cheap one but have to put 2K into it to perform the way you like. I bought mine for $3900 and just dropped another $1600 into it to make her sweet. I could have probably got a nwer shee in better shape for less money if I had waited. Good Luck, Mike
  18. Sorry If we cant help you out any . If you could tell us the color of the stock plastics then I could tell you a year. Also the VIN on the engine wont tell us anything, what you need is the VIN off of the Frame. These are the years for the frame VIN. Hope this helps you out a little, Mike 1987..........................2GU-000101 1988..........................2GU-030101 1989..........................3GC-000101 1990..........................3GC-010101or 3GC-024101 1991..........................3GC-025101 1992..........................3GC-036101 1993..........................JV42GGAO*PA049101 1994..........................JY43GGAO*RA059101 1995..........................3GC-096101 1996..........................3GC-082101 1997..........................JY33GGAO*VA111026 1998..........................JY43GGAO*VA111026 1999..........................5FK2
  19. What color is the frame and plastics?
  20. Hi guys, well thought after lurking on this site for the past few months I had better register and say Hi. I live here in Eugene Oregon and ride the Florence Dunes often. I have a 01' Banshee and my girlfriend rides a 01' Blaster (she wants a Banshee now). Just for starters I thought Id ask what all your screen names mean. Mine is nugshee short for Gold Nuggets and of course the Banshee my two hobbies. On weekends when I am not riding the dunes you can find me in the creeks running a gold dredge. Anyway, Its nice to finally say hi and I hope to talk to you all soon, Mike
