is it really that hard to do? I consider myself to be good at most anything I do and If I really try I wont make any mistakes so do you think I can port my own bike? I have a dremel, what else is needed?

so what happens when I hit the grab bar? will it kick me forward or just keep me from going all the way backward? also the question about shifting with or without the clutch is another one I was wondering about. If it werent for the fact that the shee weighs so much and myself being 210lbs then I would consider having someone lift the shee up so I can feel the balance point. Anyway thanks so much for all the advice, now I dont feel so bad about having so much trouble about pulling wheelies. I keep practicing.

Thanks alot for the reply's guys. I kinda figured that it was just harder on a Banshee then a 400EX. My buddies always making fun of me. Before I used the excuse that I didnt have enough power or that I wasnt hooking up but now with the Shee being built with a stock swingarm and Im running Sand Stars I dont have any excuse except for I just cant do it. Some people just make it look easy I guess. Lets hear from more of you guys on how you do it.

Ok guys, I have debated for a long time on weather I should ask this question or not but I just cant ride a wheelie. Is there a trick to it? My buddy can ride one forever on his 400EX but I just cant keep it up on my Banshee. My shee has plenty of power to pull it up in 3rd gear and Im no pussy when riding but I just dont feel real confertable when trying to get her on two wheels. Do I just suck? Thanks

I work for a saw mill (Weyerhaeuser) and it really sucks ass. It pays well but the shit I have to deal with on a daily basis just isnt worth it anymore. I am also a student so some day I will tell them all to kiss my ass and get me a new job that sucks. Thats what lifes all about.

I will argue with anyone till blue in the face. There is no better dune pipe then the inframe CPI's period. I run them and wouldnt have it any other way. The only negative thing to say about them is that they are hard to jet. The size of them and their ability to move some serious air makes them unlike any other pipe.

I live here in Eugene Oregon and from what I hear in 1980 the ash from it travels south which is right towards this area. As far as it erupting again there is a 75% chance it will within the next 24 hours they say. I hope it does just to add a little excitement around this broing place

The best way to find if your banshee is getting too hot is to put your hand close to the pipe and if you feel a good heat wave comming from it then its time to let her cool off. Also if you start to overheat you will notice a huge lack of power especially in your low end. Hope this helps more then the other morons on here.

I almost bought one but from what I hear they are just one problem after the other. This is coming from people that still have them and thats their only ride. I have not heard anything good about the LT500 except for they have good torque. If I were going to buy one I would make sure that it is in near perfect shape. Good Luck

Just thought Id add that shampooing the carpets will only do harm if you dont make sure they dry thuroughly fairly quick. Best way to clean them is to remove them from your truck and steam clean them. wet carpets will just cause mildew.

huh? what is maitence? Just playing with you TAT Just think, once you replace it then its new and you wont have to do that for a long time. I dont think you need new carbs but for some reason you cant just rebuild them or have them bored then new ones arent that expensive. if you have any questions just ask us. I dont understand why "blacks" still get mad becuase some people may be racist yet they are the only ones that have a cable channel specifically for their race. BET (black entertainment television). If you notice it is ok for a black to call another black a niga but its not if you are a white person. I think that if anyone is racist it is black people. Personally I dont mind colored people. I have never had a problem with them. However I dont like mexicans. If not liking mexicans is racism then yes I am racist. The sad thing is that some of my best friends were mexicans.

wow guys, thanks for all the help. Now one of my problems is just deciding on a color. There are some very cool PC colors out there. Well, its raining out and I am going to tear the banshee apart and have some pieces powder coated. My question is this, can I grind some of the welds on the frame to smooth them out any or is there anyhting I should do to the frame before sending it off. I dont want to get it back and later find that I should have removed a bracket before I had it powder coated. Im in no hurry to get it done and would rather take my time so I have no regrets later. Also is there a way to have the stock A-arms powder coated? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks again.

you pulled a wheelie in 5th gear and then it took all you had to get the front wheels on the ground? Thats nuts dude. I couldnt pull the front end up in 5th if I tried but then again I dont have a boost bottle. cool story though.

I can help you better understand fuel ratio's. Maybe, hehehe. Ok here goes. Basically you are talking about parts of each (fuel, oil). when someone says 32:1 the first nuber being 32 is referring to the fuel, the second number 1 is referring to the oil. If you had a ratio of 1:1 then it would be one part fuel and one part oil mixed together which is the same as half fuel half oil. A part can be anything, cups, ounces, liters, etc. If using ounces as your means of measurement and 32:1 as the ratio you are trying to achieve then you will need to add 32 ounces of fuel to every ounce of oil. the ratio measuring cups you can buy at cycle shops already have the ratios marked on them so you just add the right amount of oil in the cup and then dump it in your gas can with your gas. Its pretty simple once you get it figured out.

That was a reasonable question. You think its possible that he just doesnt have the money to buy the overpriced billet parts but would still like to fix up his banshee like the rest of us? Thus asking the question of maybe where he could get plans. This is a banshee forum where we all come to learn and read what others have to say. In order to learn you have to ask questions. ABM-BANSHEE, I have to admit that is a descent looking quad. Your not changing my opinion any about the hood and headlight arangement on those but I have to give you props on making her look good.

Pyro- you talking about those cheap ass quads they sell at places like GI joes or some select sporting good stores. If you look on ebay there are usually some of those no name quads that you really just dont know what they are. I dont think the bombardier is the ugliest or the predetor but at least we havent had anyone in here defending the damn cannondales.

I agree, the mojave is an ugly bike. I also cant stand some of the graphics scemes that some of the older bikes had. Look at the earlier blasters with the pink tanks and the bubble style lettering. The dang lt500 looks like an ant eater and the cannondales look like a garbage fish with the eyes all spread apart. The older warriors are just plain ugly. The amazing thing is that people actually bought these bikes brand new and probably got all excited about them at first. What were they thinking. Anyway, I just felt like causing trouble this morning so thought this would be a good post since there has to be some of you with these "things" in your gareage. Keep the comments comming!
