  1. hey tats with your mx port and mids did you still have the awsome low end while reving out at 10g's. and how much hp/torque did u have.
  2. did he ask you what type of riding u wanted the play port for? and what is your setup, dunes or trails?
  3. Anyone have experience with the Dave Moore Racing play port? Would it be a good setup for trails, because when I see "Play", im assuming a mild port, but wondering what kind. I emailed him but i'm waiting on a response, just wanted to see if anyone on the hq has dealt with dave. http://www.davemooreracing.com
  4. go for the dmc 916's, real nice set of pipes for a decent price. u can get the headers new, plated, for just 288. rev out round 8g's, pretty good for a low-mid pipe. even though I haven't tried them I am wanting to, but i've searched for info about them. still want to compare the torque to pt mids.
  5. here some info , dynos for most of the pipes out on the market. http://www.angelfire.com/extreme2/yambansh...s/pipeinfo.html

    New to Modding

for some good low end pipes that are cheap, i would suggest dmc's. u can get some for 288 new, plated, pipes only. dont be fooled by the price, i hear they perform real well. their are also alot of used fattys on ebay, u can score some for real cheap. shit i know what it feels like to be broke, im trying to get a job this summer myself and save up some cash. i want to trade my quad for a shee, hope it works out.
  7. yup im registered there, same name
  8. from the dynos i seen the power falls off a little later than pt mids. i think the dmc's can be compared to pt mids, a low end trail/mx pipe. im not sure torque wise, im assuming pt mids would have more. i would get the the dmc's over pt mids because they are cheaper make almost the same power. i found some for 288 new, pipes only, plated. Im not sure if u can run them with stock silencers but i would since your not looking to spend 500, and maybe get the 2 into 1 silencer later. email DMC about it. here's a link to the website, has alot of hp info on pipes, but the only thing its missing is torque. btw i've seen a 2 into 1 silencer for dmc's on ebay going for 130, maybe u could buy the pipes and that, save u a few bucks. http://www.angelfire.com/extreme2/yambansh...s/pipeinfo.html
  9. here's a vid of a 2 into 1 pipe in action, they sound like an indy car. http://www.dominatevideos.net/v211
  10. got me confused when he said cv 33, i usualy see 2 in 1. a bigger tank would help out because banshees suck alot of gas, and the stock tank is just a joke. i would suggest either a 4 or 5 gal ims.
  11. thanks for the opinions guys. i most likely will be going for the banshee.
  12. get a 2 into 1 carb and a oversized gas tank, should be able to ride longer.
  13. Anyone got one on their shee? If so post it, I want see. They look kind of cool.
  14. Well i'm looking to get a new quad this year after riding on a 4 poke for a while. I like them but they are nothing compared to the banshee's i've riden. My uncle and his friend own banshees and I go riding with them all the time. We mainly ride pretty open mountains, trails, and hills (no tight woods), and go to the sand occasionaly. I'm having a hard time on deciding to get a banshee or a 250r. The banshee really suits my size, 6'3 225, but i've never riden a 250r and hear they have good suspension and they are light, also the power output can be good with some mods. I dont want to get a quad that I have to baby all the time and watch for things going wrong because its 20 years old, so im kind of leaning toward the banshee. Any suggestoions would be apriciated on helping me make a decision.
  15. either have Mr.Matt on the hq do it or Quicksand. i wouldnt go for a twist throttle, get an aftermarket thumb throttle, they cost about 100 bucks and are way better than stock. its better than going with a twist, especially in the woods.
  16. helmet, goggles, gloves, jersey, riding pants, knee guards, some work boots, chest protecter, knee high socks, tighty wideys. i tried to ride one time with boxers and they ripped from all the riding, learned my lesson.
  17. to solve your traction problem, get your swinger shortened -2. it will hook up like mad in the dirt. start out with some minor stuff, like what banshee said, pipes, pro flow foam filter, nosshead. if you really want to go further, a woods port would do some good and really help the power alot. cost about 200 from eric gor, and i hear it runs real strong. as for pipes fmf fattys, or ptr mids would be good for the trails. ptr mids are the best midrange on the pipe, only if u have the cash for some. you can find them once in a while on ebay. fattys are a real good all around pipe, alot of people like that pipe.
  18. yup i play it, im pretty good too and happy with my cookie. i dont play everyday but once in a while, and when i do i get real into it. my names dEcon, add me.
  19. did you eliminate tors?
  20. yeah with t5's you wont like them in the trails, so get ready to clutch alot to stay in the powerband. if you ride open trails that's different, but if u were riding tight trails, i wouldnt recommend t5's. best all around pipes, their are a few out there, fattys seem to be the most popular. real good low end, with awsome mid range, and a good top end without sacraficing anything. you could also get a port job to increase the performance, you will really like your banshee then. i hear t5's respond to the eric gorr port really well, gives u some low end while keeping that top end of the pipes, and only for 200 bucks, and the 2 into 1 carb will help your low end even more.
  21. who goes to the dealership to order parts anyway? truthfully 250r engine parts are cheaper than banshee parts, because its a single cylinder and not a twin. just think about it.
  22. make sure you use silicon o-rings, not rubber ones.
  23. 2 into 1 35mm carb, ported, -2 swinger, front shocks, pro flow filter. do you like your t5's in the trails? their are other pipes out their that would suit you more in the trails, but if the t5's are what you like stick with them. -2 swinger would help you with traction. but if u hill climb im not to sure, i never heard of anyone climbing with a -2 swinger, maybe a -1 would be better, any input out their guys? 2 into 1 carb would help out with low end and increase top end. porting will open her up more, giving you more power. front shocks help out with suspension, giving you a smoother easier ride. pro flow foam filter for maximum air flow, since the stock air filter setup is crap. the pro flow setup utilizes a airbox adapter for the air filter to directly clamp on to, so you wont have to worry about it falling off. coast about 100 bucks, comes with a filter that you must use for the adapter (its larger). thats all i could think .
  24. dont get cut domes, run the spacer plate. its more efficient and safer. with domes the pistons are going over the top of the cylinder putting the o-ring to heat, which will lead to failure.
  25. if you already have a banshee then go for a 250r. 250r has the best suspension and handles real good. even though the stock power output is nothing compared to the banshee, you can get its power up there. i would say the 250r could be more of an agressive sand duner since its suspension, and the banshee a hillshooter/draging bike in the sand. they are light and easy to handle. the 250r is a totaly different machine, get that and you have the best of both worlds.
