Alright Alright, hold your horses fellas... From now on im only taking TRADES, which include (but aren't limited to): - Muffler Bearing's - Radiator Bushing's - Headlight Fluid - Rubber Axle's - Continuum Transfunctioner's - Flux Capacitor's Now to answer a few questions: - This intake works with 24.75mm Carbs - It will work with forged internals ONLY if you throw a sticker on it - It doesn't work with blue powerbands, only green or red - As far as layaway, I only accept EBT card - I only deliver under a few conditions. The sun must be at the highest point in the sky, humidity must be below 15%, the wind must me blowing northeast, and it must be slightly cloudy with light raindrops. Thanks for your time.

Found a flywheel, dont need a stator anymore but thanks!
-
WFO I just took the old one off my junk RS stator, I almost forgot I had it. I'll definately put a little lock tight on the bolts this time around as well. Thanks fellas.

Thanks for all the opinions, I was going to swap out the flywheel no matter what, my main concern was the stator and pickup coil. Zilla, what pickup coil did you replace your old one with? I might just replace that since the resistance on the stator is still good.

Out at pismo my cousin's banshee just stopped, he said it bogged like it ran out of gas. It wouldn't kick over back at the camp. I figured it wasnt getting any spark so when we got home I swapped the coil, cdi, and checked the resistance on the stator. To make a long story short, a bolt from the timing plate got loose and rattled around in the stator covor. It banged up the flywheel pretty good and snagged the pickup coil, it was hanging by one screw. My question is should I go ahead and just replace both the flywheel and stator or can I salvage one or the two?

Spark Arrestor & Sound Options for Shearer Inframes
decon replied to decon's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I definately agree with you, it's like you pay all this money for a set of pipes but don't have any type of options or add on's for your silencer. I guess that's why Cascade made the CSFX. Now im not looking to be 100% legal to comply with the USFS regulations, I just want to have some sort of screen in my silencer in case I get checked. I can say the trinity sparkies do look nice on your CPI silencers, I wish they would fit the shearer's. I called and talked to Cascade before I ordered the silencers and asked them if they had any options for a spark arrestor available and they said no, but he also added their is enough room to possibly modify them for a screen. I got my CSFX silencer's in the mail earlier today and they are pretty huge, they do indeed have enough room for a screen which would not block or restrict any type of flow. I recently modified my cousin's bike with T5's to work with the FMF Turbine Core 2 Silencers, the left silencer/stringer fit without any modification but the right stinger tube had to be bent to fit. I am sort of partial about running those silencers, I guess im more concerned about looks lol. I think I will play around with my old Shearer silencer's and find an alternative to running the CSFX silencers, I will definately keep this post updated because I know their has to be other people running shearer's that are looking for better spark arrestor setup other than the sparkys. -
Have your tried adjusting the idle screws all the way in? Carb top's adjusted properly? Make sure that tapered hole is filed down and has a completely FLAT and even surface, also make sure you used the right size tap for that idle screw (Shouldn't be hard to screw that up since it's included in the Tors Removal Kit). There is another topic about this in the same repairs & mods section (http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=147682)

Spark Arrestor & Sound Options for Shearer Inframes
decon replied to decon's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Why not? Its the same thing as "jamming" a sparky on the end of a silencer or either modifying them to accept a spark arrestor just like you did, the only difference is the sparky says "usfs approved" on it. Sure the forest service may frown upon it but the screen is usfs approved. I can't find any other way to make my shearer's both quiet AND spark arrested, unless you have any suggestions? -

You could get the IMS 4 gallon tank. It doesn't look as bulky as the 5 gallon, the only downside is it doesn't hold as much fuel. It's either better looks or better MPG, choose one. However, if you dont like the looks of the clarke/ims tank you can gain a little more fuel capacity with the stock tank. It's not much but every bit counts. Drain your gas from your tank and disconnect your fuel lines from your carbs. Boil some hot water and fill up your tank while it's still bolted on the frame. Close your gas cap and take an air compressor or a hand pump to your vent hose, fill it with a little air but not too much. Let it sit for a few minutes while it's still filled with air. The boiling water will make the plastic tank soft, and the compressed air will expand it. Let it cool down, then repeat. I gained maybe a quart or two of extra fuel. Im just suprised no company has yet to make a stealthy gas tank to fit under the stock plastics that holds extra fuel, I wonder would it be hard for someone to do?

Im not too sure about those bulbs but I just did a dc conversion on my banshee and I run HID's, I would NEVER go back to stock lighting. The installation is pretty simple (if you know a little about wiring), you have to float the ground on the stock stator, replace the stock voltage regulator with a regulator/rectifier from Trail Tech, and mount a battery. Snopczynski can recommend some good LED lights, but I think most do require the DC conversion. Check out this thread for more info on the DC conversion: http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92899 And here is my bike with HID's: http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=147363

Im trying to figure out what's the best route I can go to make my shearer's have spark arrestor's and also be quiet. I did some searching and dug up a few threads: Alba Spark Arrestor Screen (http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67761) Trinity Spark Arrestor's ? (http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114376) Custom Sparkys (http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114245) Out of these three options, im not sure if the trinity spark arrestor will fit the silencers on the shearers. I don't want clamp on sparkys sticking out the back of my bike, and I really dont want to dish out $300 bones for the CSFX silencer but that is the only option that will make my shearer's quiet. The only downfall is they dont come spark arrested. My plan was to use the alba spark arrestor screen in combination with the CSFX silencer? Any thoughts? Has anyone else been succesful in ether making a spark arrestor or some type of hush kit for the shearer's? How many db's are inframe shearers? Where i ride in the forest they are real strict about the decible level and spark arrestor's.
