  1. If it is round style I will take pics. [email protected]
  2. If you are trail riding, the farther you go the less traction you get. +2 at the most. But mostly I think you are just being a puss.
  3. Battle Creek. Just east of 87sheerips. Just south of Black&red87.
  4. I am not saying they won't work, just never heard of Hot Rods pistons before. I can almost guarentee you they are a relabeled weisco 795 if they are indeed made for the long rod crank.
  5. Glad I could help.
  6. You need either, a spacer plate, or domes cut to compensate 4 the stroke. Your port timings will not be right either way, but it will run. Since you have a long rod crank, you need either 795 series pistons or blaster pistons(only in certain sizes). The long rod does nothing for displacement. If you want to reap the benefits of going to a stroker motor, you need to have it ported, and you need to address the timing(adjustable timing plate will work for the basics). The stock carbs and Knarlys will work fine, but if you want the motor to run at all to its potential, bigger carbs to go w/the porting will make big difference. If you are not looking for a drag type motor, your pipes will be fine regardless. If you want that high RPM power, you will want a drag pipe. Bottom line is to make it work, you need to make sure you have the correct pistons for the crank, and you need a spacer or cut domes.
  7. If your emphasis is going to be mainly on drag racing you can get away w/a drag port. Different builders "Drag ports" are less radical than others. I have run a 4-mill Patriot stock cylinder drag port for the last 2 seasons. It dynoed at 83 horse and does fairly well duning wise. Like Dave has mentioned, you are not going to lug it around, but still a lot of fun on the dunes. Just remember the more radical you go on top, the more you lose on the bottom.
  8. That's what I am kinda thinkin. Everyone wants two out one side now which doesn't help. I will probably go w/new shearers but will wait it out as I can get them anytime. Doug Austin on PS is a painter so I am going to contact him about a coating for the raw finish as you suggested. Off subject here, but did Brad make you a chromoly steering stem included in the lightening cost?
