  1. Yeah, something is not right. Measure again. Also, a hone simply cross hatches the cylinder. Does not remove much material at all.
  2. 64.25 is 10 over 64.5 is .020 etc. Yes they bore the hole larger. You may not need to bore on your first set of new pistons as long as cylinder is not gouged or already worn to much to place a 64 mill piston w/correct clearence. The shop should be able to measure them for you and tell you what you need. You may just need a new set of pistons and a hone.
  3. I've got complete front brakes w/ASV lever, stock headlights, stator and clutch cover. Would do all for $150 shipped. Could also throw in stock grab bar.
  4. I guess it's ok if it's for Lindsey's Bike.
  5. Damn you Jeremy...
  6. How is the Nik on em?
  7. Duner or dragger or mostly which?
  8. It has been in a bike for 3 seasons. Bearings are tight. I go to the dunes on holidays and went to the track for the first time last season. Not a daily driver trail/farm banshee.
  9. Got a 4 mill long rod hot rods crank w/TZ and Maxload bearings, true and welded by Dan at Patriot Racing $315 shipped.
  10. Clutch setup Head? Kicker gear shift shaft etc. And how often do you find a ready run cub and set of pistons for $500? I am not trying to discourage the kid, but inform him of what he is getting into. Trading his R1 for a running motor is a much better start. He can then upgrade as he can afford it and eventually have a drag motor.
  11. One thing to keep in mind is this young man is starting from scratch. No motor, nothing... I would like to know how to build even a stock stroke cub w/pipes carbs that actually shifts and doesn't eat clutches left and right for $1600 from scratch???
  12. Timing, compression and porting is where it's at. If you do too much of either of the first two, you will run into different fuel requirements. Porting hands down is where all the power is in these two strokes. Only problem is when you start making more than "bolt on" power, more and more issues need to be addressed.
  13. The Fatty has a very similar power curve to a T5. I believe the Fatty to be the more top end pipe between the two.
  14. Here is what my bike looked like w/R6 in rear and 300ex fronts.
  15. I have an R6 shock that looks brand new already fitted to a polished stock dog bone in the classifides for $80 shipped. Already setup Just bolt it right up.
  16. If you have a stock swinger you need like a six paddle....maybe rear smoothies LOL. Seriously your front wheels will never touch the ground w/an 8 paddle.
  17. Squeezing pipes and carbs into a drag motor budget of 1600 is tough.
  18. Here is a picture of bike w/swingarm and shock and linkage I have for sale.
  19. Paddles sold! Reduced prices: Complete front brake setup w/ASV lever $100 shipped Polished lowering link $30 shipped CBR 600 shock w/stock polished linkage $80 shipped.
