  1. Uh, what.....................It's not really the alcohol being corrosive that is the problem (except in the exhaust system). It's the water it attracts.
  2. How can you hate Comcast? I mean, they have the turtle commercials for christ sake.
  3. I agree. There are several things that are not right about that thing.
  4. It really depends on what solvent is in the tank.
  5. That's the funniest thing I have heard all day. I suppose that says something about my day.
  6. I liked going to the SSSS to go people watching. The SSSS draws out some of the most screwed up people in SoCal.
  7. Except when Dave is talking about meth, he is talking about methamphetamine. He does live in Detroit don'tcha know.
  8. He shouldn't have to purge the Raptor, he just needs to monitor his oil dillution level.
  9. He may be a bit sensitive about the shooting topic. He recently ran into a lawnmower that fought back.
  10. I am not sure if that is a referance to the fact that I hate flatbillers or to the fact that I am friends with a couple people who work for FMF. I think it's probably the first one, as I don't believe I ever told y'all the second thing.
  11. The same things you mention will apply to methanol as well. To overly simplify this conversation, what everyone needs to remember is that the big difference between ethanol and methanol is where the hydrocarbon base of the fuel comes from. Ethanol comes from distilling corn, beats, etc.; while methanol comes the dinosaurs. :geek:
  12. It seems that several people here are missing the point rgaeding why you need to purge a two stroke running alcohol (E85, M85, or whatever) for a fuel in the first place. If the aluminum parts in your engine corrode, who cares. What you are really trying to protect are your bearings. Conversely, the reason you do not have to purge a four stroke engin on this tipe of fuel is that the lubrication comes from somewhere bedised the fuel. However, you get to change your oil more often as alcohol dillutes the oil and washes down your bores. :geek:
  13. Yeah, but my bike is fueled by my own self-loathing, so it kind of works out.
  14. That's about what I remember after I fondled a couple side by side at the SSSS last year. :geek:
  15. You do not have to run jr. dragster spindles. JJ and A offer hubs to support OEM Banshee brake rotors and spindles. On the other end of the spectrum, you can remove the caliper mounting brackets from your banshee spindles and order the JJ and A spindles without any brake mounting features. Direct Drive and JJ and A both make a fantastic product and are great companies to deal with. :geek:
  16. Thos cylinders are fantastic! They are actually Twister's billet small block cylinders. Twister is also a fantastic company.
  17. There is a shop right down the road from me that surprised me by most every color in the Eastman catalog on hand.
  18. A piece of tube and a sledge hammer can also get the job done. This is a relatively common problem to have. The worst case is that you may wind up having to heat the bearings up prior to beating them out. :geek:
  19. I agree, but I suppose it just winds up being a personal preference thing. I know a few folks who don't like Fullbores either.
  20. Is the ATV included in the auction?

    v-arm pics

There is such a thing a z-arm or n-arm (depending on perspective), so an s-arm wouldn't be much of a stretch. Maybe you can up with an o-arm or a k-arm, that would be hot.

    v-arm pics

A d-arm, I have seen and they are pretty cool depending on who made them. I still call BS on the v-arm thing.
  23. Bump for a good guy.
  24. That's a nice, clean bike.
