  1. Advanced Engine MachiningAdvanced Engine Machining 7611 Slater Ave # D Huntington Beach, CA 92647 (714) 848-1062 advancedenginemachining.com Call those guys. You're better off on your own for a pistons kit.
  2. There is a Castle in Tacoma and Federal Way as well......................... :ermm:
  3. Apparently you are familiar with Portland and it's large population of adult book stores......... :ermm:
  4. I know that's what he was talking about as both of those guys are in MI, but I felt like making a joke about Mexico.
  5. Marine Crankshaft Inc. 17785 Sky Park Circle
  6. Galfer.
  7. I thought Mexico was only a one way trip to Mexico? Of course with people, it's the other way around.
  8. The dealership down the road from me has 4 new special editions still on the floor. I might go buy one today...., but I am not sure why.
  9. ..............I don't remember how much we were paying per crankshaft, but it wasn't much.
  10. I am pretty sure that's the company we were using, however we weren't shipping our parts to NJ. The sales guy that always came around from them was known as Mr. Mikron as none of us could figure out how to pronounce his real name.
  11. FYI: Crane outsources the work to another company (the name escapes me at the moment) that specializes in this particular super finishing process (alot like shot peening on a very small level). The company will be at Westec when it comes back to LA. I used them, Carillo used them, Edelbrock, HPD, etc. Many of the NASACAR dingle berries started using it as a surface finish spec. IMO it's one of those things that you shouldn't have to do if you had a decent machined finish to start with. :geek:
  12. As stated before, I don't care, I'll buy whatever you guys like as long as I can get it in red and blue.
  13. ...............I think it is because I am a raging geek. Seriously, I pretty much can't pass a booke store without going inside. :geek:
  14. I like Sand Toyz Unlimited, but I don't live near them anymore............. Between Jeff and Louie being about 1 mile apart, I am going to spend entirely to much money in one area.
  15. You need to read the book, "Two Stroke Performance Tuning" by A. Bell. :geek:
  16. Janssenn is the place that makes the rubber boots that are reallyt hard to put on. I have some of them. I was thinking the rock guard deal might have been something else. :geek:
  17. .............I was just making sure you did not cut them yourself.
  18. I swear I had nothing to do with the deal at Daytona. I might know who did though...................
  19. I would go for unlubed (that term makes me giggle). What the vendors are doing is adding a fuel stabilizer. It's actually pretty gay unless they know what they are doing. You are better off adding your own stabilizer or just using your fuel in the same week you buy it in. IMO :geek:
  20. Am I correct in assuming that none of that plastic is cut in any way? :geek:
  21. I like that plate. My Janssenn arms have something similair on them. When you originally mentioned the rock guard thing, I was thing it was some sort of heim joint protection and I was interested as to what that might look like. Alas, it was not, I shall have to keep dreaming.
  22. What does your supplier's label say? Or the pump for that matter? This may come back to the same "only a few folks actually make stuff" thing where someone out there is re-bottling and creatively labeling.
  23. I didn't even know I was having an argurement. I love winning stuff like that!
  24. I'll sort of buy into everything being a different weight after machining and reassembling, but with caged ball bearings on the crank and a firing event every 180 degrees, the crankshaft essentially dynamically ballanes itself. I suppose we can leave it at you engine builder says one thing and I say another.
  25. Yamaha Motor Corporation 6555 Katella Avenue Cypress, CA 90630 (800) 962-7926 That's the customer service unit at their R&D center in SoCal. I am not sure I can expediently conjure an email address this morning. Try that phone number, if it doesn;t work out well, I will try and get a direct email address for someone.
