  1. Someone needs to buy these damn things...........
  2. Word. 10 paddle SLS's are the way to go.
  3. Word. Only certain types of stainless can be anodized as well. :geek:
  4. 72" roll-out (circumference of tire) 10 h = 10 paddle hauler 22" carcass x 11" wide x 8" wheel SLS = Super Light (bead to bead buffed) DJN = 3 letter customer code 07 = is date or month code (I forget)
  5. There is one outside of Phonix, AZ near Strawberry Valley, but I can't think of the name of the place at the moment...........
  6. Yeah, I might have mispoke for the publicly available stuff. 71mm and 75mm are the two numbers I should have said.
  7. You still have a regen. cycle, but it's at a lower temperature, which gives you many more thermal management options. You may still have a bit of a derate in certain situations with this system. The EPA10 standards are not too terribly hard to beat with an SCR system. The OBD system (similar to OBD II in cars) is pretty tough right now. EPA14 will be much tougher when they start requiring CO and CO2 levels to be regulated. :geek:
  8. No, sorry man. Do you have anything else worth trading?
  9. It seems to me that there is no reason for the additional parts count......... Beyond that, you might lose some thermodynamic efficiency (trasferring heat to the coolant) with all of the hoses and non-functional fins that are going on there. :geek:
  10. Nut fluffer......
  11. Word...... Go there. Superlights are the only way to go IMO............ or Sandstars if you're into the v-paddle thing.
  12. I work for Detroit Diesel (owned by Daimler). CAT is getting out of the over-the-road NAFTA engine business at the end of 2009 (only 1.5% of their total global business). Their EPA07 heavy duty stuff is crap anyway......... there's a spark plug in the exhaust and the aftertreatment is one raging breakdown after another.
  13. Cummins is not going for the high and low temp. EGR desgin + cashing in emissions credits................ they could not meet emissions reulations so you will see them with SCR systems across the their entire line. Navistar still has not produced a system that will certify with the EPA with their non-SCR setup. So far, they are all talk and don't have anything in trucks. We'll see what their high percentage EGR system + emissioins credits will get them. Note also the PACCAR (Kenworth and Pete) house brand (Daff or Foden designed) engines will also be rocking SCR systems for 2010. The SCR systems increase fuel economy and lower operating costs greatly (2% DEF per gallon of diesel) since you no longer have to rund you exhaust after treatment at high temp. to reduce NOx.
  14. That's funny, I don't care who you are............... I am going to use that as my new term at work this week for doing something.
  15. The Twister small blocks are usually larger than traditional bore sizes. The 78mm seems to be quite popular. :geek:
  16. The Twister cylinders have the ports milled on a 5-axis CNC mill via a surfacing technique. This results in the nice, even cutting paths you can see in there. The "boost ports," for lack of a better term, on the side of the intake, looks like someone was down in there with a die grinder or something. Lynn is a good worker for sure. I'm sure he'll put a good engine together for you.
  17. I don't have anything to do with Cummins or CAT other than testing some of their stuff to compare with ours. So far we have seen that their aftertreatment controls is much more crude than ours. The regen. thing is all about putting heat in the exhaust, not necessarily highway speed. If you are putting a bunch of load on the engine at 35mph for a length of time, you will be able to get it regen.'d.
  18. Did someone do a hand port job on that thing?
  19. It depends on what kind of engine we are talking about.............. What sort of problems are you having?
  20. Word......... Sand Gear is a waste of money.
  21. We always have new stuff coming out........... The DD13 just launched into NAFTA. We are pushing some EPA10 demo units out into the field as well to see if we can put away Cummins and International before they even get started.
  22. The invisible chain drive setup you have on there is hot!
  23. Was there something wrong with this one: http://www.mindbendermotorsports.com/defau...PKV=BBSYFZ350|0
  24. Put a coat on and nut up...........
