  1. I ran them on my +2 arms without any trouble. They were even better after I had TCS revalve and spring them for what I was doing with them. (This was on my red bike, but now I've gone to a different setup). I am currently running them with the OEM arms on my blue bike. I revalved them and shortened the shafts myself this time around. I only have about 8 hours ride time on them, but they seem to be every bit as good as when I had TCS work on the shocks that were on my red bike.
  2. Cascade is the place to get them from.
  3. Wow..........Long time, no see. Welcome back!
  4. No problem......... Another interesting thing about lead in gasoline is that it's also a lubricant. Unleaded fuel has elements to replace it (sulfur, etc.), but they don't quite behave the same.........
  5. Eibach. They are in Corona,CA.
  6. That's not even kind of true......... There are many other octane increasing agents (most of them are some sort of synthetic substance) out there besides lead.
  7. I think by heims, they mean buying actual heim joints................. You would need to put a sleeve in square tubing out round tube if you were just going to try and ram bolts through the side of the tubing. That will stop the tubing from crushing when the bolt is tightened and tearing when the suspension cyles to compress or strutch the tube. No offense, but with the questions you are asking here, please let me suggest that you are probably better off buying a set of struts. These are one of those items, that if done poorly, can kill you.
  8. I went to their eBay store and there were not any for sale this weekend............. I don't know what the deal is?
  9. A stock Banshee with some port work will wind up being able to beat everyone there drag racing..................... I haven't been there for 6 years or so though. Maybe that changed.
  10. Moses Lake kind of sucks considering Sand Lake is about as far away for most folks. There are quite a few Northwest folks on here.....
  11. Don't use pipe............. it's not made out of a structurally suitable metal. You ought to look at some 6000 or 7000 series bar stock.
  12. I am not so sure about that............. I seem to remeber that he made those arms. :geek:
  13. Have you ever ridden another bike in that area with an aftermarket suspension designed for that specific application? (I am trying to find some sort of comparison that other might understand). :geek:
  14. It's not really about the height or length, it's about the mass being suspended and the motion ratio of the suspension. Like I said before, I am not sure if the sled and the Banshee setup are similar here, but I am guessing they might not be. :geek:
  15. You can't get power valaves on any cub cylinder.

    Moto-GP

A few years ago when I was offered the TD position at MotoCzysz, I started a thread about Moto GP and/or U.S. Superbike. I didn't get much a of a response as there do not seem to be too many people who follow those two series on here. On the other hand, the U.S. don't seem to be big fans of F1 racing or soccer either...........
  17. Fox shocks need to be ordered for a specific application more so that other shocks. While the spring rate is very adjustable due to the gas spring concept, it also means the valving is setup for the loading of that air spring by the designed application. In other words, if you buy shocks for something else than a Banshee, you have a greatly increased chance of having a pogo stick on your hands, unless of course the weight and motion ratio for the other application happen to be very similar to a Banshee........... I don't know much about sled suspension to make an itelligent comparison. :geek:
  18. Yeah, the unburned hydrocarbons kill heated oxygen sensors pretty quick........
  19. It would really be a toss-up between what fails first, the Marvins, the shock mounts, or your back, if you tried to use them on a trail. They are very stiff and compared to normal shocks and are not heavy duty whatsoever. If Marvins are heavily cycled for long periods of time, they will also fade and turn into a pogostick. :geek:
  20. It would work if you did two things: 1.) Come up with a a clean and steady DC power supply for the unit. 2.) Fabricate small shields for the sensors to keep unburned oil and fuel off of them in the exhaust stream. (this is generally the toughest part of using an O2 sensor in a two stroke engine like a Banshee engine. What you really need to ask yourself is a rig like this worth it if you could use a stationary exhaust gas analyzer and a dyno instead.
  21. Again, +1 from me.
  22. Ahhhhhhhh........... you beat me to the joke.
  23. I support this.

    Nascar Daytona

TRD had a disappointing showing at Daytona. It looks like there was some consistancy with the Dodge boys, which may be an indication that they maybe something to talk about this year. I would still be willing to bet that TRD's engines will do well this year. ...........and one last thing: Carl Edwards is one of irritating individuals I have met from any racing genre. He is a good driver, but other than that, he's a waste of space.
  25. Once you break into the 150hp + higher torque numbers at the rear wheels in a drag race application, then you need to be looking at 10 plate clutch. :geek:
